One thing I really like about these types of games is that the only people who really play them are the kinds of people who like to talk.
All the people I've "talked to" so far in this game have all had something to say, no matter the topic. There's always some story or personal opinion they have to share. It never feels like dead conversation.
This game is very cute, it has a fair amount of customization as well. The questions the game asks you to answer and respond to can be specific but still open ended. There were several questions I wasn't expecting, either, that made me have to think. Things i haven't really thought about so far.
If you wanna just type personal shit out and know someone else is gonna read it, give this game a go. It's relaxing and i enjoyed reading about other people's lives.

In an AI-riddled world where I'm stuck watching fake Reddit story after fake Reddit story, I feel like I just took a breath of fresh air. I'm seeing real people, really seeing them, and they're seeing me right back. Their stories are sweet, nostalgic, sad, and they are theirs. I've heard of strangers' dreams and life goals. I've left wanting to ask my friends more questions. It's safe to say, I'll be coming back to Fireside Feelings whenever I miss feeling human.

Feels pretty nice to just write out things about yourself, I've already experienced more in one day with this game than the year+ I've had Kind Words.
If ya see a orange ninja turtle bee, just know that's me. Hey, hi, hello.

This is a very introspective game. I think if anything this can help you sort your thoughts if you are an over thinker like me. I haven't completed the game yet but i have done quite a few conversations and its a great game to put your thoughts down on paper. All of your conversations you can go back and reread them.
You also don't have to make your answers public, i will say the game is completely anonymous and currently seems impossible to learn who the other players are. So honestly adding what you say into the mix won't out you lol but i'm glad there is an option for that.
If your struggling to find yourself or just want to get thoughts out into the open i think this game is for you!

I've really enjoyed Fireside Feelings. I never really understood why people liked Kind Words so much (I mean, I "get" it, but it just didn't make me feel better when I booted it), but I think I do now.
As someone who feels very uncomfortable opening up and talking about their problems, it's nice to be able to do so without feeling any guilt. I can just open up and let it flow without worrying about what the other person might be thinking. It's been cathartic.
Another social issue that Fireside Feelings helps disappear is that pressure to "answer the right thing". I can hear other people's stories without my mind wandering off about what I should say next, or what they might need me to do, or if they're asking for something, etc.
It's a great way to have a heart-to-heart without the social pressure, and an even better way to sit down in a safe place and open up if you need to.
Thank you, Team Empreintes; this is one of the kindest experiences I've had.

I discovered this game through the Kind Words promo! The games are super similar in concept, focused around you sharing kind words with a stranger.
But instead of giving advice, here you're more focused on introspection & chatting about your life while learning about a stranger. Sort of like writing in a diary, but it's nice having someone else there as the person you're writing to (even if that specific person will never read it).
It's comforting hearing about others going through the same mundane things, and similar or relatable struggles.
The game is super cozy, and the art & animations are really well done. It's the perfect thing to play to wind down before bed.
I look forward to seeing many more conversation topics added by the devs, so that I never run out of things to yap about!

There's no pressure to respond right away. It lets your mind wander and enjoy the serene campfire with a stranger, free from judgement. A heart-to-heart where both their and your provoking responses leave genuine words behind that would normally be left unsaid for others that will keep this kind cycle going.
Appreciate this safe space :)

I bought this on a whim on launch day and, honestly, I think it may be the best impulse purchase I have made in a while.
I love finishing my day with a few answers in a conversation, alongside answering some letters in Kind Words. I genuinely haven't felt this relaxed at night in months, something about having no pressure or text limit to answer these questions just feels... nice.
Like a personal little therapy session to really think things through, even if the conversation is about your favorite food.
Highly recommend, worth every penny.

I played the demo last year during the Wholesome Direct, and I have been eagerly awaiting full release ever since. I love how you can get a sense of people's personalities - thoughtful, bubbly, outgoing, considerate, etc - through the text and the character design choices. This game makes me feel hopeful about humanity, and inspires me every time I play it.

Interesting concept. As a fan of Kind Words, I've been curious about this game for awhile now. I bought it while it was on sale, but after playing for a bit I've concluded it is worth the normal price.
First going into this, be advised this is not a game. This is pretty much just having a conversation with another person NOT in real time. You're asked a series of questions by an adorable little fire ember and both you and who you are paired with basically share those answers with each other. You can't really talk TO the person directly, as that's not is what this is about.
It's interesting, because you get to read someones opinion or belief without the ability to really argue. Which is nice. It's how conversations and debates should go in the real world, but often can't because as humans, we have this need to argue our points. Unable to do that in this game, it kind of encourages a healthy conversation with real emotion and depth.
Aside for the "gameplay" the art is beautiful and cozy. I do wish there were more ways to customize your character and admittedly customizing your areas where you talk feels clunky and like you're just sticking stickers on things as everything looks out of place, but it's still a nice feature.
The music is also really beautiful. The first night I played, admittedly I left the game up while I took a nap just because I enjoyed the music so much. :3
Anyway, if you like Kind Words, this is probably a game you'd really enjoy and appreciate and if you're curious about this game, absolutely buy it when on sale. It's worth it, imo.

My social anxiety got ahead of me in this game and I opted out so I don't recommend it. Talking one on one with a stranger made my anxiety rise and that's not good.

This isn't the kind of game I'd normally play, however when I saw it during the wholesome direct I was drawn in by the premise and art style. Everything looked so characterful and charming and even though I hadn't played anything like it before, the idea was certainly appealing!
As stated before, the art style is wonderful: The characters you can choose to represent yourself are customisable and adorably drawn, portraying a lot of emotion with very little. The music is similarly lovely, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere that perfectly matches the tone of the game while being comforting in its own right too.
All of this comes together to create a unique experience I haven't felt since playing thatgamecompany's Journey: Sharing an anonymous moment of understanding with another person, even if it's in a different way. Having this space to open up about complicated emotions, feelings and experiences, knowing that I won't be judged but still be heard, is a genuinely wonderful mark of the emotions videogames can bring to us and how we can connect and share kindness in an increasingly hostile world.
All in all, this game just feels like a warm, comforting hug: I highly recommend supporting it, as a lot of care and attention has been put into it and the reassurances of no AI usage really help to hammer home the human heart at the centre of its premise.

What a beautiful little gem! I just had my first fireside talk and didn't expect to be moved like that. My fireside companion really had a way with words. Event though they don't know I've read their answers and they haven't read mine, I've felt a strange connection to them at the end.

I can't believe I already played this for 3 hours.
It's kind of a personal experience, so I don't want to tell you what you'll think of it. Instead, just know that if this sounds like something you would like, you probably would.
The topics are more mature than Kind Words, so just something to keep in mind. Personally, I needed that, but I was surprised just how much. However they give you a lot of different choices to exclude topics you don't want to talk about, so you don't have to get blindsided by anything.

scam game everyone talks like an AI, because your words don't actually get
passed on and that's why everyone seems like a cringe furry redditor
everyone feels sorry for themselves, has no self-awareness and is just a victim non-stop
and the sentences feel fake and censored
there's censorship in a game about openness lol

I rarely write reviews so early on after just starting out a game, but I need to write this down before I forget: I went in to this game blind, and after one hour playing in I feel so warmhearted. It a cozy converstion game, with real people who also play this game! I might never know who Im talking to, and thats okey <3
Having real converstions on different topic, being able to be honest, judge free and feeling safe while talking about important question is very mind opening. I get to reflec on my own purpose and views, as I also get to read/listen to other person view on stuff. It feel very therapeutic to have a cozy atmosphore and just get to talk.
Very unique game idea, and love it already, thank you devs for this game, I can see this being helpful for people who want to be open and feel free from judgment

If you like Kind Words leave this alone. This takes what could be an incredibly simple process and makes it way way too complex. Skip this.

You pick a topic (e.g., "Food," "Joys") then answer a series of questions related to the topic. Each time you reflect, you get to see a stranger's response to the same question. It's not real-time, so no pressure. Very fun to reflect but also really nice to see how other people respond to the same question! It's a cool glimpse into other real people's lives : )
Art/music is very beautiful. Questions are interesting. Formatting is GREAT. Game includes trigger options; you can prevent other ppl's convos from being matched with you if they include triggering topics. Similarly, you can vent about whatever you want without worrying about triggering people! : ) (You have to manually mark the convo's trigger topics, tho!)
Only complaint so far is I have ended up with the same person 3 times in a row, but that's mostly due to the small user base right now. I think as the community grows, the game will really blossom into something special!

I highly recommend.
Genuinely, it's a very therapeutic game where you get to chat with other people from around the world.
You get to share your stories and hear theirs. It really provides prompts that lets you self-reflect and really look deep within yourself.
I know with this game, it's really allowed me to understand myself further. From other peoples conversations... inspires me.
There is so many people with hopes, dreams, grief, loss. It makes you feel less alone in a world where there's so much going that on your voice gets drown out. With this game, you feel seen, heard, and not alone in your struggles.
Please. I recommend getting this game.

What this game offers is some cozy therapy sessions by the campfire. It's really wholesome right from the beginning. It also makes you think and reflect on your memories and past experiences.

I got sucked right into this game. It feels like one I could continue on with for hours. Not being the best at face to face conversation, this allows all the time you need to provide a thoughtful answer that someone else will get to experience some day. It starts out with the simple question "Do you think we can be friends" and goes on to show that we probably can more than we think. Conversation starts around a specific topic and branches off into various connected areas I wouldn't normally think about. The conversations are gone at the end, but it's nice getting to screenshot your company so the memories of what you discussed are still there.

This game is a warm blanket of perfectly safe human connection.
The devs put a lot of thought into making it both real and anonymous and I love their little photoalbums, small things you can customize, but most of all - the questions you will answer somehow, pushing through many layers of yourself.
An adventure deeper into your own soul, finding understanding and coming back stronger, if you really go with your heart.

This is a game that needs you to take your time but If you're in the mood to reflect, feeling introspective or want to share a little kindness, it's the ideal.
You can feel the care and deep empathy that motivated the creation of this game.
It feels like a kind tribute to how life can be a bit more meaningful when you share with someone.

What a fantastic and innovative concept for a game! Saw it in the Wholesome Direct and instantly knew it would be my vibe. Although you aren't chatting with other players in real time, I still found the conversations very meaningful and memorable. Just like every connection you make in real life, you can only get as much out of it as you are willing to put in. I try to put effort into my responses so the next player who comes along can experience the same depth as others have graciously responded to me with. Fireside Feelings serves as a great conduit for thought-provoking conversation, and as a reminder that we are all connected even in the smallest of ways. To every stranger I've "met" by the fireside, thank you for your openness in our virtual heart-to-heart. <3

Profoundly beautiful.
I bought this game without realizing what it is, and boy was I in for a surprise.
Half way through the tutorial I realized what the game was going to be and I just sat there for about 10 minutes staring at a wall because my brain exploded.
Otherwise amazing execution on the idea and cute graphics. Gold star from me!

I LOVE this. It's the therapy I've always needed. It's like journaling but with others! You answer prompts and share each others' thoughts, experiences, advice... It's super cozy and even though you don't directly talk to the other person, you feel connected.
The art and music is super nice. Thank you devs for making this!

Genuinely a great reflective typing experience. I've only been in two conversations so far, but as far as I can tell the trigger warning system, anonymity feature, and active moderating have made both experiences very smooth. It really does feel like talking to a stranger over a campfire, with no expectation that they will judge or directly respond, but hearing their thoughts all the same.
As someone who already enjoyed Kind Words, I was happy to see the addition of the Kind Words deer plushie in the game. As others have said, it's very similar to the intent and vibe of Kind Words, but with its own personality. I already adore the customization options-- simple but very enriching-- and I look forward to unlocking future campsites. It also reminded me that I haven't visited Kind Words in a long time, which I plan to rectify.
Edit: I really hope more people pick this up so that this game becomes more diverse and lasts much longer!!
