Mad Max on rails. Bought it on a whim to make a video for my channel. Absolutely no regrets. It is a frantic game that keeps you on your toes with plenty of interesting choices that encourages playing with different builds. The theme is strongly represented; what's on the label is exactly what you get. Very much recommend.

This game is like trying to babysit a coal-powered toddler during a Mad Max apocalypse. You're shovelling coal, fixing five things, steering a crane, and operating a cannon jammed with orc and rat guts. The enemies are allergic to dying and travel in packs of "oh no." 10/10 would get my coal sucked out by a passing oil tanker again.

Plus: - Nice idea (aka "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" but more hardcore and no coop) - Pleasant visual Minus: - Totally shitty balance (upgrade either super op, or u can throw then into the trash right away, nothin in between) - UI not too bad, but need polishing. Sometimes there's so much shit on the screen at the same time, that u can't see what u're doing Summary: At the moment I wouldn't recomend this game, but it has potential to become a good one: 1) There is not enough content, which is ok in the EA, but at the moment it's super short 2) Balance concerns - either person who made balance didn't play the game at all, or doesn't understand how his own game works. For me this is the main problem devs have to solve for this game to become a good one (Just reserch "Slay the Spire" and understand it) 3) Would be cool to have coop in the future, because the way upgrades work, it would be too much for 1 person to handle, but could be interesting for 2 players if balanced right

Yes i like it. The game really has this trainwreck-rush going and if this is the starting point its definitely promising. its also quite addictive , since i got it i stacked a good bunch of hours, so i already got my value out of it. It plays so well. it's still early in dev so some of the numbers are a bit off balance wise. the system could use a bit more subtleties. Tho devs seem super active and any feedback is well perceived. Theres already some excellent and juicy options for your train and the mobs also have some cool attack variations. overall, while i really enjoy playing it, in the longer run, the game needs a dramatic increase in level content and no 'end of game' to be truly re-playable. a sort of scaling endless mode like void crew would work well. overall i'm happy with my purchase and will be revisiting this fun game every once in a while following its progress :-)

This game has big potential. At the current state it is fun and the core loop is well made. With more content it could be a really good roguelite. Mixing FTL with Fury Road was a great idea.

Simply put: Wow. This game is a masterclass in developer commitment and dedication. You can feel the passion poured into every pixel. The art style is what hooked me initially, and it’s even more impressive in-game. It doesn't just look good; it feels and plays incredibly well. The polish is palpable, making for a truly seamless and enjoyable experience. Beyond the stellar presentation and mechanics, the amount of content here is massive, offering tremendous value and replayability. Plus, knowing there's more to come is fantastic! This is an absolute must-play. Highly recommended! A huge well done to the studio — I'm excited to see what they do next.

At first, I was honestly pretty frustrated with the game’s mechanics. The constant repairs, the randomness, and having to reload the weapon and control the shooting crane all felt overwhelming. It took some time to get used to everything. But once I figured out that you can brute-force the first few levels just by repairing the engine and placing the crane to collect items from one side, things started to click. After that, it got easier—especially once I unlocked some upgrades. Overall, I ended up enjoying it and would recommend the game. It just takes a little patience at the beginning.

I’m a huge roguelike/roguelite fan, and honestly, I expected a mediocre game at best going in but boy did it hook me. The meta progression is solid, but the real joy is watching yourself actually get better with each run. The game is hard, especially when first starting off, but I love that. I’ve got nothing but praise for this solid-ass game. 7.8/10, not enough grass.

An interesting little game - the similarities with Overcooked are noticeable. My playthroughs have been quite intense and you do get attached to certain runs, only for them to die to rats. It's also a game where certain builds and synergies just feel awesome to use. For an early access title it's stable which is a positive sign. My biggest gripe is that it is a bit hard to parse some information and the upgrades could def use some more descriptions, but these are minor things that I hope will be cleared with more patches. Would recommend for anyone who's looking for a game that will challenge them in multiple ways. Keeping an eye on how this game develops

I downloaded this game thinking its another 2D survival. Oh boy i was wrong. Spent 10 of the hours figuring out if the cloud is Godzilla or not. Then i made friends with Bobby Fixer. At first i tried to see what he does. But didn't do much. Until i tried giving the game a bad review. Now im scared to. Bobby fixer is watching. WATCHING ALL OF US. The train goes choo choo then get gunned down by rats. What more do you want. The Graphic: Yes (explosive) Soundtrack: Great musician. Better than Mozart. Gameplay: Like balancing on a unicycle trying to juggle machetes with no arms. Story / Lore: Yes Bobby Fixer. 5 Star because im scared of Bobby Fixer. He knows He’s Watching And Whoever said the game is hard. You should try a roblox obby. You might be a bit better.

What a fun and intense experience! I really love how the game constantly challenges you into thinking on the spot and making tough decisions. The upgrades are fun and it looks like you can create a lot of fun builds with them. I still haven't done a lot of the roguelite stuff, but there seems like there is a bunch of things to interact with in the hub are, can't wait to see what else can I unlock. Art and music are also great, the soundtrack slaps and the sprites + particles are really well done.

Haven't had much time with this yet but already wanted to write a review. I was following the development a bit on Reddit so I was happy to see it released. It's okay - a bit too chaotic right away when you're not sure what's going on. Lots of moving parts to manage. That could be a fun thing but... The UI suffers from not being able to tell what you're actually selecting. It does that "one choice is slightly darker than the other" thing without any indication if you are selecting the lighter or the darker choice. On top of that, every menu seems to have their own different style - so "red" is the highlighted selection in the main menu - but "slightly darker" is the choice in most sub menus and "very dark" is the choice in the game selection menus. To the dev - 1. make the menu current selection option easier to read; 2. make the game ramp up a bit slower. This is still EA and I assume the dev is taking feedback so I'll keep this one around for now and try again in a few weeks.

I like the game, I love the idea, but as it is right now it is NEEDLESSLY HARD. its like I've got the worst luck all the time, and even when I have a good run, and play all my cards right with a main cannon capable of taking on the first boss? I fall flat because I run out of ammo once, the game gives bad RNG so I can't even grab more ammo, and by the time I finally do get more ammo? My train has blown up when it was on full health going into the fight

This is a GREAT game. Takes a couple tries and some patience- at first you might think you're not getting a fair shake, but when you use the mechanics in the way that they're built, it really comes together in a very fun way. Hope this one catches on- looks like it could be something special.

I'm having a good time with it! Needs some more polish, but a really good start and I'm enjoying it. Takes a couple of runs to get the gist of the multi-tasking, can seem immediately overwhelming, but it's a relatively small learning curve.

Fun game if you like roguelites. Lots of modules to mix/match so you can have a different train configuration every run. There's still some early access bugs and only two levels at the moment, but it's still enough content for the price. Looking forward to more as it approaches release!

This game starts out really tough but really feels great once you start to get the hang of it after a few runs. You're constantly engaged shoveling coal, repairing modules, adjusting your claw, activating modules, and aiming your weapons. Its so perfectly chaotic. And your train getting stronger through a run just feels so good. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops through early access,

Solid game, interesting approach to a standardized rogue-like formula that reminds me of Slay the Spire - but is unique enough to e it's own thing. WEAKNESS: Not enough content yet. If you buy, take your time with it. Take long breaks. Come back after major updates. This will be a game you regret playing too much of when it's finished.

Choo chooo train go brrrrrrr I've been following this game development since before release and it has really improved over time. It's very chaotic but it's also super engaging the whole time you're playing. Art is really really cute, those orcs make me want to kiss them instead of kill them how cute they are :3 it reminds me of those old games i used to play when i was a kid and it's very nostalgic.

Been playing the demo and decided to purchase the game since it is finally out! Holy f***, I'm still having so much fun! The game can exponentially get SO HARD. Let me tell you the shock value I got when I found out your HP doesn't reset when you complete the first world. 😲 You MUST play your cards right if you want to go far. It is integral part of the learning curve and honestly the dopamine hit that you get from learning what works and what doesn't is unmatched! Keep up the good work, I'm excited for new content! 🥳

Super fun game, that is really addicting and keeps you on the edge of your toes with needing to keep your modules alive and using them, having your fuel topped up and making sure you pick up resources so you don't run out of ammo! If you are great with multitasking this is definitely a game for you! Been watching the progress for this game over the last few years and it has grown so much over the years and looks great! The art, music, and particles just perfect. Looking forward to what comes next, what comes after the rat city? A swamp? Underwater? Rainforest? Whatever it is I can't wait to see what you guys come up with <3

Saw this game on Asmongold live strea and got hyped to try it myself. It really is a blast, especially enjoying playing the world 2, would love to see this post-apocalyptic setting expanded further to world 3. Pretty unnerving but definitely rewarding once you land on a satisfying build. Definitely worth playing.. kudos to the small team and keep up the amazing work!

At the current state of the Early Access, I feel the game simply dumps too much on the player without giving the resources to handle it through skill. Rather it is mostly luck if you can succeed or not. At around 80% progress through the first level, I found it boils down to repairing the rail switch lever and the engine itself. There are simply too many enemies with not enough damage to deal with them so the only option left is to hope you live. I also feel shops are too rare. I often find myself dying with upwards of 700 scrap from the factory module and it leads to frustration as a shop rarely if ever appears to even use the scrap on. Overall, I feel the game just stacks way too many high hit point enemies on top of each other and if you only have the cannon due to horrid luck which seems more often than not, then there is no hope. Many enemies take over half of the cannon's magazine size to even kill so it's a futile effort to even try killing them to a certain point when more and more and more start showing up. The problem would be mediated if 80% of the upgrades weren't mostly useless or straight up didn't work like "sundering" or "burning" upgrades without the prerequisites of a source to apply them in the first place. Again, at a certain point, it usually devolves towards just keeping the train moving and hoping you can tank the enemies. Not even a skill problem, just simply not having enough damage/resources to handle them in the first place. Perfect aim, lining up explosive enemies to damage others, nothing works unless you find something broken. In other rouge-likes, you CAN beat the game off pure skill even on a terrible run. Here I feel there is no room to do so. The gameplay loop is quite fun but the difficulty and feeling of unfairness detract from that sadly. Isn't a bad game at all. Just some number adjustments could be a good change.

Long time Bobby Fixer fan here. I've been waiting for this day since I first saw an early demo on itch.io over a year ago. I still love flying through the blockades at the speed of coal while yelling "witness me" at the top of my lungs (my neighbors hate me). Climb aboard losers next stop: the apocalypse.

Nice little roguelite, can be fairly challenging, has cool item interactions (turning your single shot cannon into the charge up shotgun ricochet torment nexus for the enemies for example). A little bit more automation might be nice, some combat encounters devolve into just kinda keeping the train running and gettnig to the next station if you let enemies spiral out of control. There is a semi automatic mortar (and I think a semi automated gatling) that shoots where you aim it but that's an item drop you might not get. Bit short on content at time of writing (two maps, two bosses) but this absolutely has potential.

Game has a great base. If you like FTL you need to try it. That is hugely predicated that this game gets more development. You can only play the first 2 areas before you get reset. I've pretty well extinguished all playability at this point.

Fun game-play loop but currently the game is in early access and leaves you wanting more - this will get better as content is added and traits/events are tuned. The game can seem a bit difficult as there isn't much variety to start, and even fewer choices that feel viable at this time (maybe due to needing immediate returns without the full length of the game), which makes some runs feel brutal since it's a rogue-lite and RNG is a large portion of the game. Just the normal growing pains of early access. The dev has been making regular updates and seems to be fairly active. I'm excited for new content and new balances. I just hope the balancing is not going to be focusing on nerfs but instead buffs, new weapons, new mechanics, and the satisfying run breaking combos that will come with it.

While a bit rough around the edges, This game is one of the best vehicle based rouge-lite I have played since FTL. The upgrade types and variety of enemies make for great replay value. The game is paced such that there is always something to do, and it only takes a few mistakes to cause a cascade failure condition.

Still a little buggy, but super promising! Don't worry as much about killing *every* enemy, repair your train and keep on chuggin. This game is a great mix of FTL roguelite, Overcooked chaos, and just a touch of Jetpack Joyride. Can't wait to see how this game develops!

A fine concept. I'm a sucker for pixel art. Played the demo and it was very challenging, like godly challenging. Now that the game is in early release I feel it got some balancing done. Using the auto repair module saved me countless of times. The game feels good.

First and foremost, I want to say that I played both the demo and now the full release—and the improvements are clear. Huge thanks to the devs for making the game feel much more balanced and intuitive this time around. One design choice I really appreciated was the lack of a difficulty setting. It forces you to replay runs, experiment with upgrades, and learn through experience what works and what doesn’t. Another highlight was how enemy mechanics shift after completing the first map. It completely changes how you approach the game and keeps things fresh and challenging. Overall, I had an awesome time. The game gave me strong old-school tower defense vibes while still feeling new and original. I'm really excited to see where the devs take it next!

I love the progress this game has made throughout it's development already (i have tried a few of the alpha/beta versions before it was published on steam), and i can only see it getting even better from here. The team behind it seems really passionate, and for their first game this goes above and beyond expectations that one might have for an indie game studio with no external funding. Are there some unpolished things? Sure, every early access title is bound to have plenty. But as of now i have seen a lot of submitted bugs fixed within a few hours, which is a really good precedent to set and shows the dedication of the people on the project. This gives me full confidence that this game will only continue growing and improving on what's already implemented, and that there's a bright future for the people involved within the gaming industry. There's no need for me to go on and on about the gameplay, the mechanics or the visual or auditory aspects of the game. The only thing i will say on any of the aforementioned things is, get the game and experience them for yourself. I promise you won't regret it, it's a blast.

Great game. I played the demo so I'm familiar with all the mechanics and I've beat the game first try. I'm really hoping more content will be added and as it stands I'd say even now it's worth the price.
