Road 96: Mile 0

This game cannot go head to head with Road96, but it has its charms. It delivered the story we all wanted to know - why Zoe was on the road. And when you see certain characters near the end of the game, it immediately reminded you that nolstalgic feeling of Road96.

I am quite disappointed in this one, the first game had something special that this one lacks. First of all, you get constantly bombarded with abnoxious mini games that remind me of some mobile game ads, and this is one of the main reasons I didn't even finish the game, so I can't really review the story. The first one had some mini games that were as aimless and boring as this one, but they were not as intrusive and as common as here. I can't really understand why the devs focused so much on this route regarding the gameplay. The way choices work is re-worked and they got worse, it's mostly 'Do you want the 'good', anti-goverment ending?' or 'Do you want the 'siding with Tyrak' ending?'. It has zero depth and while it has the potential to be something, it's more of a -choose one of the two clear endings- kind of thing. They even give you a slider so you can see how much you are leaning towards each side, which takes away from the immersiveness of the first game, since you can clearly expect what will happen. The first one was so good I wish I could relive the emotions, the immersiveness and the atmosphere it created.

i dont get why this game is overhated its a good short game could play it in a night and being 80% off its a worth it purchase if u liked the original

i don't get the hate on this game, the story is quite enjoyable. it was nice to see some of Zoe's backstory and seeing how Petria looks like besides the roads. imo the rides were a good gimmick, seeing things and story through teenage imagination. the only downside for me personally is how hard some of the tapes are to find, i'm currently on my FOURTH replay because tape #4 just won't spawn in any of the areas (yes i looked through the walkthroughs) so i'm insanely frustrated. if you liked the og game and want some addition to the story than go for it and get the game ;p

If you liked road 96 you'll like this game. The visuals and gameplay are phenomenal. The only complaint i have is about how it can be challenging to complete the skating segments at times. Overall great game, 9/10.

Although I hoped Mile 0 would be closer to the Original game, in the end I still enjoyed it. The rythm parts kinda confused me, since I hoped it would go more into the political aspects of the game, but still fun to play.

Before I've played Mile 0 I heard many negative opinions - that it is worse than Road 96, it is not worth playing etc. But when I was playing Road 96 I fell in love in this world, in these characters, so I wanted to know more about them. And I tried Mile 0, I won't lie, it is not the same game as Road 96, it is much more linear, there are those rides where you collect points. But if you want to know more about this world, know these characters better as I did, then I would highly recommend playing it (and reading 2 interactive books - Road 96 Prologue & About a Girl). It is really worth it.

I found the story unengaging, and the lack of meaningful choices made the experience feel shallow. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it and wouldn’t recommend it, as it comes across more like a quick cash grab than a thoughtfully crafted experience.

This game SUCKS I personally pre-ordered it after finishing the first game only to be disappointed to learn that it has all the problems of the first game like lack of graphical options motion sickness, and at times overly preachy narrative. But without any of the fun, novelty or replayability of the original. save your money, and your time.

Nice game, I liked the story and it was cool to get to know more about Zoe. Would be awesome to get a game about what happened in 1986 though. I know we got bits and pieces in Road 96 and this one, but I’d love to see more. Like Alex’s real parents, John and his girlfriend’s story, and just how everything went down back then — if you know what I mean.
