Simply speaking this game is utterly wonderful. To all fans of the Greatest Detective of all time, this game will never fail to keep you on edge. From the outstanding soundtracks all the way to the wonderful plot, and lets not forget about all the wonderful characters that come together into shaping the entire tale. I do understand that this is a game of older times, but i would have preferred better graphics and visuals. Not to mention, there were many times that the game would lag excessively but nothing too serious that a reboot cannot solve. Long story short, I would totally recommend anyone reading this comment to give this game a shot, i am 100% sure you will not waste your time! P.S word of caution newer version of Sherlock holmes' games tend to instruct/help you out in knowing what you have to do next. However, this version kind of expects you to experiment around and guess what to do next. Which at some points was really frustrating.

Addictive and fun puzzles, great voice acting and good soundtrack, the personality of Sherlock Holmes wasn't cheesy and was faithful to the original, fun adventure game.

Very nice game and good customer service. Got stuck and wrote to them, a solution provided in days.

An adventure detective game. A definite step up compared to the rest of the series. It has a fun, slightly ridiculous story and the puzzles are mostly enjoyable. There's also the option to skip them if you want. I did have to use a walkthrough a couple of times, but that could be due to impatience. Movement works as intended and is easy to use. I used the 3rd person camera for the entirety of my playthrough and found it to be good. Visuals and voice acting are sufficient. I found it to be an enjoyable game.

Clunky controls, bad voice acting, terrible writing. For effective storytelling smart characters need to be written by comparatively smart writers. When they aren't, you get a character who is smart in the context of their universe but pants-on-head retarded from the player perspective. Some of the puzzles are engaging but most are random problems with near-random solutions with a Sherlock Holmes coat of paint. The logic isn't consistent and they spent so much time trying to fabricate a narrative they forgot to patch the plot holes. I like older games. I appreciate older graphics. This title is bad for reasons generally unrelated to its age. I imagine the people who thought it was brilliant also consider The Big Bang Theory peak television.
