Ultimate Fishing® Simulator 2

Unfortunately waiting for the game to come around didn't help. I don't have a new PC, however, the game ran better 2 years ago than it does now. Back then I enjoyed, but now it makes me dizzy. But what really makes me advice against buying this or any other from this publisher: they just announced Ultimate Fishing Simulator 3 (UFS3). Number 2 hadn't been finished, and they were working on the third one. How do we know that? Because as of today, June 19th, 2025, they already have a demo, for UFS3. Number 2 just got "released", on May 9th, 2025. Years waiting for the second one, years in Early access and they kick us in the nuts. Who in their right mind would buy this now with a third one in the making and especially with how bad this one is playing? Which means no sales, no support due to no money, game is dead. Listen you, whoever makes these decisions. It is no rocket science. COD, Madden, FC (previously FIFA) are made for idiots who don't care about paying for microtransactions on top of full price (every year); the companies behind those titles are the bad guys. The good guys are SCS, Expansive Worlds, the guys behind ETS2, ATS, COTW. Those games that have years and years, that have enjoyable play loops and that been supported by DLCs with well timed innovations. Question: in a niche genre like this, which of the two business models described above do you geniuses think are you more likely to be able to emulate?

The game is still full of unrealistic physics like lures clipping through walls and giant splashes when casting,and lures also fall through the bottom of the map.

very buggy. every "update" they add or fix a feature but almost everytime something detrimental bugs out, ie, not being able to fast travel locations on a map, put your rod down, etc.

So far the game seems good. Very realistic with the fishing equipment etc so if your a fisherman IRL then this game is for you. Some knowledge of how you actually fish would help hugely in this game as it is a Simulator but overall it is very good. Devs seem to be working hard on the game and fixing current bugs which is great so ignore the negative feedback as the game is a work in progress!

A Chill enjoyable fishing game with updates and improvements, that you can play at your own pace.

Game doesn't run well, super clunky and just not fun.

Game is worst than part one. First of all. One had more features and more fishing. Like fly fishing and ice fishing. In here, none of that. Plus the dumbest thing happened and it keeps happening over and over. I'll reel the fish all the way to me, then the prompt to hold right click to land the fish will pop up but then goes away and I can't reel in anymore. So I couldn't land the fish. So I left and won't be playing anymore. I'll stick to Fishing Planet. One, its got better mechanics and its free. I'll play part one for the fly fishing and ice fishing aspect.

The graphics are hideous. I genuinely thought this game came out in 2005 or something and the UI is bad too.

the game is not as fun as the first one because it has this issue where the fish literally just disappear, no tension or anything. please fix.

I tried to give it a fair shot but everything just made me want to play UFS 1 or Fishing Planet. Both these games are far better than this game. This game tries to implement stuff from other fishing games like a keep net but falls flat on it's face with a confusing UI, horrible graphics (they somehow made it looks worse than UFS1) and less realistic fish behaviors. Just play the first game or any of the free fishing sims out there they are leagues ahead of this game. The fishing mechanics are awful and confusing. I still can't figure out how to adjust drag as it's not explained in the tutorial and there isn't a binding for it. It may be somewhere buried in the UI but the UI is so awful I can not find the button if it is there. Other important note: upon exiting the game it states "Thank you for participating in the early access release" but the Steam page shows a full release and the dev page shows they are making a UFS 3. So what does this mean? Did they forget to remove the message? It seems more likely the devs have abandoned development of this game and are updating it just enough to keep Steam from saying they abandoned it. I tried to give this game a fair chance but I can't even get 1 hour into the game without wishing I was playing literally any other fishing game.

I bought the first and second game. played each one for a few minutes. first one looks good. but wow, the second one is horrible! it looks worse and the physics are broken for the lines. the grass looks copy pasted. the sounds sound bad. there are graphical glitches all over the screen. my buddy had all the same issues too.

This game looks, runs and feels like a beta version of the first game... how did that even happen?

other than lure /bait dropping under river floor graphic i have had no issues

this game came out in 2017 this is awful on graphics even on ultra settings DO NOT BUY they shouldn't be allowed to advertise this came out in 2025 when it didn't........ just buy ultimate fishing simulator 1, its newer/ with wayyyy better graphics also you can keep fish in an aquarium, it is also way more fun .

Does anyone else have an issue while using controller, the game thinks your mouse is moving so the camera is constantly moving? How do I fix this problem?
