The Hex

Made a video going over and dissecting the lore and story of this game, but I'm also just here to say this game is so excellent. The way the story is laid out, slowly piecing everything in the mystery together through character flashbacks and small clues until it all comes together at the end is genius, the fact that the gameplay is simple but it still changes up it's mechanics every section is creative, and it knows how to properly satirize games, players and games as a whole. I can't wait to see what Daniel Mullins does next. If you are making a game that satirizes itself, other games, breaks the fourth wall or gets meta, you NEED to know about the Hex. A friend recommended this one to me and i'm quite glad i finally got around to it, it's incredible and i'm pretty surprised i didn't hear it talked about more but i suppose Inscryption was easier for people to find interest in. Not too difficult of a 100% either but there's plenty of hidden details that i love a lot, hope you can enjoy it too!

I played this one after Inscryption and Pony Island, so it was fun seeing connections there! This game was a wild trip and a lot of fun as I got into it! There were so many different game styles to get lost in and so much lore to consider. Definitely check it out with limited knowledge of what's to come.

This is not a game. It's not a murder mystery. It's not a platformer. It's not an FPS. It's not a turn-based Final Fantasy game. It's not a Stanley Parable styled walking simulator. I do not know what this is. But I recommend finding out.

Better story than 90% of movies I've seen in my life. Hilarious. It IS about the narrative though, don't come into it looking for gameplay.

This guy man... what a genius. Always go in blind, that's the golden rule. You will no doubt enjoy this if you like any of his other games! Nice one G.

Not a terrible game, it's just not at all what I expected in that the game itself doesn't at all match the Game Description or the Game Trailer. It's a bunch of mini games without any real substance in between, granted I only played 0.4 hours. If you want a simple, cutsie game with (apparently) some story, that doesn't have any murder mystery puzzle element, then perhaps this is for you. Unfortunately I have played this *after* Inscryption and Pony Island which are both quite good. (Though this game is much closer to Pony Island). Again, would rate neutral if possible, but negative in that it doesn't match what it purported to be.
