Excellent level design, pacing, artstyle and above all else, a timeless charm to it. This game is the epitome of 2D Platformers and I highly recommend it to all, gamers and non-gamers alike. Co-op is fantastic too, beating your friends and cooperating has never been so seamless in a platformer. Overall, It's an Amazing game. I just wish there was content outside the main campaign.

underrated as hell, i always plays ts with my brother and sister on the wii as a kid, AND ITS FUNNN!!! always better with friends or siblings. one of my favorite games of all time

Probably repeating a few points, but all around a fantastic 2D platformer. Character design was great, fantastic music, pretty great level design,m what's not to like about it? This game holds up extremely well in 2025, and hopefully will continue to do so. 10/10, would recommend.

This game takes me back. When I was just a young boy and didn't know of Meeds existence. Good times.

Smooth, fun, wonderful colours and music, sometimes challenging, LOCAL multiplayer. I just love this game. I have completed it several times now, and know I will come back to it in the future. Don't go to legends, it recycle half the levels from this one anyway. This is the one you want. If you want negatives to prove my good faith, here are 2: - The end level screen to count the lums, is slow, and I wish there was a way to skip or accelerate it, - Not enough Rayman skins. I don't really care about the sorcerers kind of lads and the frog thing. Doesn't keep me from loving it. Bests

This Has to be one of the most underrated 2d Platformer Franchise to ever exist! This game was absolutely amazing, The gameplay felt unique and fun with the characters animations that felt expressive with their unique cartoony artstyle ESPECIALLY with the MILFS character designs ;D!, the story wasnt that deep and it didnt have to be honestly since it was right on point, and i CANNOT forget the awesome soundtracks that this game has to offer, theyre so iconic and rememberable! especially the sea world map soundtrack as well as the ice world map soundtrack. Rayman Origins is truly an underrated gem and i highly recommend it to 2d platformer fans! I'd give this game a 9.3/10

Rayman Origins is a fun but occasionally frustrating game. To get it out of the way, it is incredibly charming with its presentation. The artstyle is very appealing, with a mix of bubbly and odd that I haven't seen before or since. Level design is mostly quite strong. Many of the electoon challenge rooms are placed well, with hints in the design cluing you in to where they are. Rayman is also a fun to control character, especially once you get all mobility upgrades. He's fast and fluid. That being said, the game is far from perfect. The water levels weren't necessarily bad, but they were very boring, trading in the rest of the game's high-speed platforming for more methodical swimming. The ruby tooth stages were very mixed, with some being far too easy compared to their world and others being significantly harder. The few issues in the game, such as some buggy collision when breakable platforms are destroyed, become incredibly frustrating when put under pressure. The control options also don't make much sense for the game's playstyles. When swimming or on Mosquito, analog controls make the most sense, and when doing normal platforming, the d-pad is best. But you have to remap the controls between these styles if you want to play comfortably, the game doesn't natively support both digital and analog movement. While the artstyle is gorgeous, I feel it got in the way of gameplay sometimes, primarily with the bosses. Some of these were much more frustrating than they should have been because collision wasn't always clear, and ways to evade attacks could be vague too. I still enjoyed the game, and would recommend it, but not at full price, and with the expectation that you'll take breaks to separate the more frustrating levels.

For some reason I get insane lag spikes whenever I use my keyboard or move my mouse. The game also does not support 2560 x 1600 displays.

Excellent platformer to play with a friend or spouse.

I killed the first giant bird but the game wouldn't let me progress to finish the level.
