Havsala is a colorful point-and-click puzzler with some interesting historical references, classic art, and a bit of mysticism (tarot, astrology, etc.). The entire game takes place in a single room with straightforward puzzles and a raven to give you hints, as needed. The game auto-saves on exit but I do not believe partial progress on a puzzle is saved. Completionists will need to play through twice, as some achievements are mutually exclusive. If you are thorough your first time through, the second pass should go quite quickly. Havsala is a nice way to relax in a peaceful, stress-free environment with just about the right level of challenge to keep you interested.

Havsala is a beautifully crafted game that stands out with its gorgeous hand-drawn visuals and a distinct artistic charm. The developers clearly poured love and detail into every corner of this relaxing yet mentally stimulating experience. While the game is short and soothing to play, the puzzles are surprisingly challenging and thoughtfully designed. The pacing is just right, letting you enjoy the atmosphere without rushing yourself at all. And of course the ability to feed a crow for hints, using little snacks found along the way, is both helpful and irresistibly adorable. The game’s blend of astrology and historical elements adds a unique flavor that deepens the overall experience. I think this game is definitely worth a play at least once for it's small price and pretty mechanics. It's also easy achievements to grab if you're an achievement freak like me..xD <3

The constant ginormous wall of text that I need to get through to get a glimpse of the next task makes my whole experience very unenjoyable. I almost gave up couple time playing it as it was very frustrating If those does not affect you, the game itself hold a well researched story and pretty art.

If you never played games with a lot of riddles before, maybe start with another one and if you don't like them at all, don't even blink in this direction. I personally enjoyed it very much - finally my dusty brain cells had to do some work and not just connect the dots on standby. The raven is a lovely detail for hints and if you're stuck, do yourself a favor and feed it. In the beginning I didn't get, that I could turn around, so yeah... that. Glad my feathery friend could explane to me, that the nicely drawn room had a backside. Than please don't be put off by all the text: You don't actually need to read it, if you don't want to. Just click on the glowing pages and read the summary in your notebook - that will offer you all the information you need to finish the game. (I saw that some people got frustrated by that, so I wanted to mention it) I had a really fun evening with this one: Good artwork, creative riddles and a nice story, while also not being too long. It even made me laugh in the end, since no, I really didn't got the "broken flute" reference before. ...than again, what was that about jokes, one needs to explain...? Anyway, there were some minor annoyances, like the arrows pointing to the next page being too close to the inventory, but nothing dramatic. All in all, a solid game that I can recommend to anyone who enjoys puzzles and already has some experience with them.

I always struggle with games like this and I think a lot of games in this genre struggle with finding a balance between reasonably challenging and just downright stupid. This game on the other hand, found that balance. Would definitely recommend it. Perfect level of difficulty and I enjoyed learning about the history and different calendar systems especially. Very well done to the devs and everyone involved.

Spent a decent couple of hours but it was both too philosophical and esoteric for me. Also, half the steam achievements just did not unlock... Wish there were a "neutral" option, because this rates a 6/10
