As a long-time Forza fan, I was hyped for the Hot Wheels expansion in FH5—but man, was this a letdown.
Yeah, the visuals are flashy and the loops are fun for like 10 minutes, but once the novelty wears off, it just feels empty. The map is massive, sure, but it's mostly wide, orange spaghetti tracks with very little variety. The open-world magic that makes FH5 great is totally missing here—no sense of exploration, just a glorified racetrack in the sky.
Car handling feels off too. The physics don’t mesh well with the Hot Wheels environment. Drifting on plastic at 300 km/h feels floaty and awkward. Half the time I’m fighting the camera or bouncing off magnetic track sections like it’s a pinball game.
And let’s talk content: the events get repetitive fast. After the third loop-de-loop race, it all blurs together. There's barely any incentive to keep grinding, and the XP rewards feel lazy.
If you’re here for nostalgia, you might enjoy it for a bit—but if you're expecting depth, variety, or proper Forza feel, this ain't it. Honestly feels more like a tech demo than a proper expansion.
