Rune Factory 4 Special

If you like Stardew Valley, or if you like Harvest Moon, but want some good combat alongside it, THIS is what you're looking for. Rune Factory 4 blends cute artstyle/characters and mechanical complexity, as well as many ways to learn about the world and its inner workings in clever ways, both within its stories and substories, but also within the chit-chat you have with many characters along the way, something that Stardew kinda fails at at times. You'll be farming, fishing, taming monsters, tending for them, collecting, mining, and doing plenty of fun activities, and of course you can aim for a happy marriage with many characters within the game. This game can get pretty ruthless at times however if you are on the hardest difficulty, so if you do NOT have the best levels and equipment, be prepare as Post Game can definitely murder you in a moment's notice. You don't necessarily have a "time limit", so you can definitely take your time... And you should be, it's a nice cozy game overall. I definitely recommend this game to anyone that loves farming games with extra spiciness, as this is one of the best games of its genre.

Gameplay wise, I think this is an improvement over the older RF games in basically everywhere, with the caveat that the start is a bit slow, even by RF standards, and I don't like the dateable options in this game as much as I liked the ones in RF 2 and 3. To be fair though, I did put an absurd amount of hours over multiple playthroughs into both those games, so it might just be the familiarity talking. Other than that, I consider the gameplay in this game in terms of options and how detailed the system is to just be better than all previous entries.

This is the best Rune Factory game in the series, the characters are all amazing, the story still makes me cry and I've bought this game for the 3DS, Switch and PC, I can't get enough of the game and cannot recommend it more. If you like Harvest Moon and RPGs this is the game for you. Graphics are fine, the 2D portraits are still great. Performance is great, don't need anything fancy to run this! Story 11/10 Combat is a hit or a miss with some enemies, it can either be a decent challenge, extremely easy or frustrating.

I love Sleepy Girl. But no Yuri Capbility fully integrated :( Great Game tho 9/10 but +1 because childhood :)

This is honestly my favorite game of the Rune factory series and its really interesting to play through on different consoles. I will say I do love it on handheld the best solely because PC has some bugs in it where its playable but can crash randomly.

Clerical or Margaret best girl. I like the part where I flew a cool as fk dragon into that tower though.

This is arguably one of the most fun games I've played, like, ever. I LOVE rune factory 4. It was my first rune factory game ever, and it most certainly left a lasting impression on me. Since it has been literal years since I originally played it, I'm actually able to enjoy the simpler things in the game- like farming, interacting with others, the combat, etc. These are all things I had previously bum-rushed to romance the character I love so dearly. The game is definitely worth the money I spent on it.

Still be the one of my favorite. The story is good, we can relate with the villager also feel the background each characters. Grinding enjoyable, easy to collect. The one that I dislike only the system of random trigger Town Event. It's also stopping me to propose the bachelorette I choose

Great game with a balance of farming, dating, dungeon crawling, and crafting. All systems are quite well designed, with proper difficulty at early game, mid game and late game. Plus the bachelors and bachelorettes are super cute, and the villagers are nice as well.

great farming RPG but characters feel ...kinda just exist. Atleast thats what I felt compared to RF3. I kept playing waiting for smthng to happen but...yeah, they just exist for most part. Its great if you want a solid rpg adventure/ farming sim

wow .......,it's irritating me a bit when i choose male and most headgear is girlish and then when main story end you can change your apperance to female (you is still male and cant enter female bathroom) now i dont have any complain
