Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto DLC: walking simulator
Road to Boruto tries to bring something new to the Storm formula — and I appreciate the effort — but unfortunately, it misses the mark. Hard. Like shuriken-thrown-by-a-blindfolded-genin hard 🎯
The main fights? Solid. Flashy, cinematic, and full of that signature Storm energy ⚔️ But beyond that? It’s less “action-packed ninja adventure” and more “walk here, walk there, question your life choices along the way.” 🐌
Side missions are where things go from “meh” to “why?” For example:
– “Scare some crows!” (Translation: walk across the street and watch birds fly away.)
– “Find my dog!” (Walk to the other end of the map, spot the dog, it magically teleports to the owner… and then you have to walk all the way back just to tell him what he already knows. 🙃)
Sure, they’re just side quests, but would it be a crime to make them a little more... fun? Interesting? Playable? The world may never know.
I get it, they wanted to experiment with a different structure. Kudos for trying 👏 But effort alone doesn’t make a game fun, and sadly, this DLC feels more like a chore list with occasional boss fights than a true continuation of the Naruto saga.
Rating: 3/10 - A few cool fights buried under layers of tedious walking and forgettable side quests.
