YUME 2 : Sleepless Night

If this is supposed to be a sequel to the first game, it's a terrible one as far as I can tell. The first game took me about an hour and a half to finish and it had actual gameplay. This game has next to no gameplay what-so-ever and only took me about 20 mins to finish. And I did so twice to make sure I didn't miss anything because having the game end so abruptly confused me. I only paid €2.61 for it and I still feel ripped off. The english translation is utter garbage. Normally with badly translated games I can look past it and even laugh it off, but in this case it's just too distracting. Seriously, there are people out there who proof read for free! The game's also really buggy. Some of the "cutscenes" would not play and achievements seem to be broken as well. If I had to name something good about the game, though, it would probably be that the animations are slightly better than the first game. However, the facial expressions on the main character in some scenes can be daunting. Until I can confirm there's more content coming to this title, I'm just gonna stick a big phat NO as recommended, because it feels more like a cash grab than an actual game. Clearly not a worthy sequel to a game that was enjoyable to play.

This is most likely the worst attempt at programming in the year 2021 I have ever experienced. Do not buy this game the graphics are atrocious and the animations are horrendous. This game does not provide a video of the game play because if it did it would not sell one copy. Instead you are misled into thinking the game has high quality animations but in fact these are still shots that appear randomly during game play. The actual game play itself is quite honestly and truthfully terrible.

I don't think everyone will be satisfied after playing this. However seeing the devs are actually improving from the first game, I'm still going to give a thumbs up. TLDR: It's short, somewhat buggy(which may be fixed later), CG and animation quality is top notch. My biggest complain about the first game was the story, I could barely figure out what was happening in that game. This time it gets much better. It's short, that's true, but compared to the first game where you just wandering around in a huge mansion finding coins and trying to piece out some background story, I'd say it just takes less time, but maybe have about the same amount of information. And as a game focusing on sexual contents, that should not be considered a bad thing. [strike]Now the problem is the animation. The first half was actually quite impressive, there are some really good camera transitions, which you'd rarely see even in some mid-high price-tag visual novels. And then it's like they hit the deadline or budget, later on the CGs are still good but obviously something is missing. Speed control is gone, and there's no multiple phases now. Only 1 pose each scene, with minimal animation, and that looks like staying idle with only breathing. [/strike] This appears to be a bug, and now that is fixed, you can enjoy all the animation variations. [strike]I won't consider this as a good game, obviously it has it's flaws.[/strike]Since they fixed the major bug, I may actually consider it as good, at least decent. If the devs are willing to expand this world, and make more sequels to complete the story and polish the scenes, I think I will continue to support them.

The heroine is very cute and her H scene is good. Most of my "playing time" are *after* I finished the game and just hanging around in the album. *WARNING* The story is short and the game system is super buggy. Make sure you have the adult patch, and download its gamesave for all CG directly from Steam discussions.

Art quality is significantly worse than YUME. Lot of things feel like they're drawn in a rush and looks terrible. Too many bugs, I mean YUME has a lot of bugs too but the ones is this game are like stuck in wall, permanent freeze etc that make it unplayable. Even the sex scenes are buggy and you can't get into the flow at all.

I decide to edited Yume 2 review after tried Yume 3. Yume 2 is the last of Yume series that have unique gameplay which is stand out from other H game on steam but also there are come with a ton of buggy that haven't fixed properly. - Yume 1 have better art for me but Yume 2 have done pretty decent work with some exited situation. - Buggy is everywhere. Some of them cause game stuck and need to close the game. - Translate is just terrible and confuse. But you can get what's going on there by gameplay and some context. - Puzzle is easy this is kinda game want you to exploring in mini game to know character life event in a short period of time. If you just want to give it a try you need to play two play thought. First one with DLC and Second one without it. I hope to see H Game that try to be a game like Yume 1 and Yume 2 more in the market. Yume is not the best H series of all time. But worth to give it a chance.

This game is one of the more overpriced and overly short games. Imagine that I could complete the game thrice over in just 37 minutes. To add insult to this, the translation is horrendous and makes almost no sense. Controls wise, it is equally horrendous. In short, DO NOT EVER buy this game!

The 3D female artstyle is superb, but honestly have no idea. What the story is about, It did lack alot in terms of actually gameplay unlike the first. The game was even only around 500mb compared to the first which was around 6gigs. So the first was a much larger game. Especially considering the art-style was similar. The only things the Yuma 2 does better is changing outfits on the fly. Being able to move in all direction in her walking animations, and the scenes had a little more interaction. Being able to use an invisible hand to Grab onto her rack. If Devs makes another version, with alot more gameplay. Along with more interaction and some lesbian scenes. I would enjoy it alot more, especially if turned into like survival horror mix plat former. Which really gave me that vibe in the first game when starting of with a flashlight. Though always like me some gore and weapons to kill things with. Which honestly I think is what every man should enjoy. Seeing some beautiful female 3D models or artwork well destroying shit. That is honestly all i ever really want in my games. I don't even care for the sex stuff, alot of scenes just pleasuring herself would of been good enough for me. The men in the scenes just spoil it in my opinion. Which is why I instead would just prefer another beautiful animated woman. If a man had a paradise of his choosing. Would he surround himself with just a bunch of beautiful woman?. Or surround himself with a bunch of beautiful woman, which half of them are being banged by other guys? idk I don't get it never have I'm apparently just one of a kind.

Game is buggy, achievements don't work properly Gameplay is pretty straightforward and simple What makes this game worth is their scenes and beautiful artstyle

The arts are well-made but the story + the interactive objects, however, are not. Only few puzzle objects are highlighted when walking near them, but the main story interactive objects are not highlighted, which makes me difficult to progress. Also, the English translation is awful.

I love the first game and I love the second game, I hope Yume 3 is in the works. I really enjoy these games!!!

I love the way chinese people make 3D model, so I recommend this game for people who love Asian girl and chinese girls. Beside, still a minus point is the animation not good. Thanks for bring chinese style for me. Love it!

I'm have a wonderful time while play this game. But that will not happen in 3 or 4 month ago. The devs is keep their promise for fix a lot of bug in this game. The truth, Yume 2 isn't better than Yume 1 at the game play and the plot, but the Second Version have better CG and UI. Beside, 2 DLC is free. (I have unlock all of CG at the time this comment published) This game worthy it's price.
