Guacamelee! 2

A masterpiece that builds upon and expands the concept of the first delivery, while also rendering homage to many other classic games (Pacman, Zelda, Street Fighter, and many others). The mexican theme remains beautifully portrayed. If you liked GM1, you will enjoy GM2. Interface, controls, combat, puzzles, abilities, mechanics and characters are 95% the same.

Guacamelee 1 is a solid game. Go play it. Guacamelee 2 ups the quality by iterating on existing mechanics while making the Pollo Power, this game's equivalent to the Morph Ball, just as fun as using Juan's normal form. This is something that is surprisingly difficult to achieve--to make the two forms distinct enough during combat while making one not overshadow the other.

played this game when I was a kid so I replayed it and its still peak, very fun game with a good pve combat and good unique graphics, overall great game

one of the best metroidvanias out there right now; deserves to be mentioned alongside the likes of nine sols and even hollow knight
