Stronghold Crusader HD (2012)

A classic game based on the original Stronghold, but better. There are a ton of scenarios to play and there's a great deal of flexibility in choosing the path you want to follow to achieve victory. For each scenario, you can concentrate on something that's quick and dirty and possibly risky--or very slow and deliberate and reliable. You face opponents who send limited forces against you early on to opponents who will attack you fairly quickly with dozens of troops. Each scenario has its own challenges. Could it be better? Certainly. There are small things that could be improved, such as having a better idea about the range of missile weapons and equipment, but overall, this game is solid and contains a ton of play-through possibilities.

Been playing this game on and off for many years, its one of my go to games, would highly recommend a try!

Great continuation of previous stronghold game. New desert theme for the game, new characters, new voice lines, new game modes and units. Highly recommend for RTS enjoyers

Works perfectly out of the box with Proton 9.0-4. Got only a few tips for newer players as everything has been said already. -You can replace bread completely with beer to keep the population happy and to increase the number of available workers. -Assassin rushing works on many occasions and turns many missions into easy wins. -If the enemy has a castle next to yours, you can completely disable them by building a couple of square towers and mangonels to bombard them constantly. -Lastly never take your war machines in the range of towered ballistae and maybe destroy them with shielded crossbowmen/archers or horse archers.
