Just because it's a game about an adorable fox you think we will want to play it? Correct, we will. Time to buy and get going. I'm a simple guy. I see fox, I buy. This game is for sensitive people who like nature and want to relax. I absolutely enjoyed this beauty of a game. The older I get the more I enjoy these little adventure games over big epic games that take months to finish. Just a few short fun games to have the experience. My daughter used to play a game like this when she was younger. A lot of these types of games are more about imagination and providing somewhat of a sandbox environment. Sure, as an adult there might not be much to do, but for a child with a big imagination who loves animals, this is pretty cool! Fortunately for me it was perfect. It was definitely no Stray but it has its charm. I absolutly LOVED this game! I do not regret buying it!! For those who don't know, this game was made by three guys! THREE! Two worked on the game and the third one on the soundtrack! They did an amazing job! Hands down guys! Beautiful game, beautiful soundtrack and the ending was just as beautiful. I looooveee games with environmental aspects and amazing graphics, and the storyline was amazing. No voice lines, just actions, and yet it's one of the best stories l've seen. The game reminds me of Endling and The First Tree and definitely was moved to tears by the end. This game is absolutely brilliant. It's made me actually want to go on holiday to Iceland to see this beautiful scenery for myself. I also love the story behind this, the usual boy meets girl and their relationship grows. I also loved the playful aspects of the game, the barking and jumping and interactions with the girl spirit fox. There's no difficulty level within this game, it's basically you have to figure it out for yourself. I personally really enjoyed it, yes it's a little clunky here and there and its no journey by any means but these type of games do click with me so maybe I am biased. I personally feel you need to not be thinking about achievements or challenges or difficulty etc to enjoy games like this. You need to escape reality and apply your own imagination, and almost create your own story. I see them as half completed paintings and it's my job to fill in the blanks, you get out of it what your imagination puts in so to speak. I feel like there are so few games where you can just run around as a cute animal doing stuff. But I love games like that, that are centred more around journeying through the game and experiencing every part of it. I like all kinds of games, but I always keep an eye out for types of games like these; they're usually so chill and relaxing too, a lot of the time, and always top notch visually, no matter what the art style is. Idk I guess it's not really a game for everyone, but it's beautiful, the music is amazing, and the story is actually pretty good while somehow being communicated amazingly without speaking or showing a single word. But if you feel like running around solving puzzles with amazing scenery I would recommend it! I loved it but I played it stoned. 8/10

Beautiful game that drew me in and then failed to deliver anything worth my time. There are too many cut scenes that are annoyingly long and serve no purpose. Yes, I know stepping on this button will open the door. We've been through this scenario before, but thanks for the nth unskippable cut scene about it, I guess. Barking at flowers to gain their glow will take several seconds every single time, and is an ultimately pointless mechanic. Flowers are spaced out in stupid ways, and there are multiple scenarios where you have to run back and forth just barking at flowers to complete a tedious task. The distance required to bark and the distance required to receive the glow are not the same with no indication... if you're not close enough, you'll just stand there barking and nothing will happen and you'll just think the sprite is glitching out. The game doesn't always follow its own logic and five hours in I still felt like I was making blind guesses for every "puzzle," because established actions wouldn't yield the same or even similar results. It really isn't much of a puzzle at that point... the majority of the game is just lots and lots of running around in wide open spaces with no clear goal. There were numerous times I thought I knew where to go only to be stopped by invisible walls. Open world or linear, I don't care, just PICK ONE! The sprite will sometimes tell you were to go, but it is inconsistent and often triggers at a bad time so it's impossible to point the camera well enough to see where it went. I finally threw in the towel when I attained the spirit dash ability, shortly after which the game started to repeatedly experience fatal errors and crash. I really wanted to like this game, but it is a buggy mess that can't tell even its own concise story or hold a steady pace to save its life.

So, not at all my type of game. Or so I thought. The scenery is beautiful, the story itself is beautiful from start to finish. Not a word spoken, not a single piece of dialogue and yet everything is communicated perfectly and emotionally. I loved it.

This game has some amazing visuals. Simple but they hit the spot. And seeing the connection to the mythical firefox from Finland was fun! I really wished that the game had more story or at least some variations on the lore you can find. Or even some deeper world building. Maybe there were intentions on putting this in, but it's missing and makes this game feel a bit boring in that sense. The platforming in the game is also not the best. I've seen so many better 3D platformer :/ But overall this is fun. I played for the visuals and atmosphere and in that department it very much succeeded. Be warned about the lack of story and platforming. But if you like wonderful visuals and mythical beings- give it a shot! //Afterword Storywise: I would've even enjoyed if the game pulled us from this old civilization to the modern day and how they still roam the skies and bring us the aurora borealis. Stuff like that already gives depth. It's always a bit sad when you finish something, be it a game or a movie, and see more potential in it.

It´s a cozy nice game with sweet graphics, a nice background music and simple game mechanics. Story and achievement completion took me about 8 hours (used a video guide for the last one) BUT: - sometimes there is way too much area to discover (almost got the feeling of an open world game) so it´s kind of just guessing where you have to go next - out fo a sudden there are invisible walls at places you wouldn`t expect them to be - tho movement mechanics could be better. Sometimes there are just little stones you can`t even jump onto because foxy decides to turn 180 degrees while jumping foreword - its story is not that clear to me.... its cute though if your into imagining your own story while only hints are given - some cutscenes could be shorter, like opening a door takes around 8 seconds cutscene and you can´t do anything All in all it´s a 6/10, but I wouldn´t recommend buying it if it isn´t on sale though

Even though puzzles and atmospehere are wonderful, the game has lots of bugs, so it would be better if the price was lower. Nevertheless, it is a nice game for people who want to chill and relax.

I picked this up initially while waiting for a game to release. I forgot about it and came back to it later. Best decision I made, the story, the visuals, the relaxing gameplay. It's amazing, something I can sit down and just relax with.

This game is super relaxing and just in general fun to play i completed it in 3 days but you can take your time and play one chapter a day if you wanted to.

A short but rather interesting take on the puzzle exploration genre since you're playing as a fox. I genuinely enjoyed the platforming more than the puzzles given the abilities you're handed over as you progress the game. Gameplay-wise, it's sometimes prone to get lost and, as many have said, it becomes a walking simulator for the latter part of the game. However, the mechanics are interesting given you're playing as a mythical quadruped animal. The graphics still hold up relatively well and has an overall cinematic feel to it given the lack of ever-present map and markers. I'm no completionist but I would say it's a nice game to enjoy the sights and would recommend it especially on sale.

Its a simple yet beautiful game especially if you love foxes, but I will admit it broke my heart in the end. So beautiful. =',)

So, like many other people I thought this was supposed to be a relaxing game, and it is... for like the first 5 minutes. After that it can get really stressful and confusing. It took me about 6 hours to complete, and at some points I had to watch a video just to find out where to go. Pros beautiful graphics amazing soundtrack you get to play as a cute fox some levels are actually fun has a nice story Cons Can be very confusing & stressful (requires way too much brain power) Sometimes very repetitive and drawn out Is way too expensive If it's on sale (like right now) it's worth a try. Do not waste your money on it at full price.

To be completely honest, i took the game at granted when i first started playing. I just thought "oh haha silly fox game". But after having played through the entire game, it was an awesome journey with a cute and satisfying story. I loved the soft puzzle aspect to it and the pace, as well as the pseudo open world feel. it didn't go on too long or too short either. the gameplay didn't feel overdone with how they slowly introduced obstacles as well as scenarios where you have to use them differently. overall, if you like foxes, spirits, and the likes, i'd say this is a great buy. i got it on sale but i would've absolutely paid full price.

Fun little game easy to complete. Finding all the shamans is a little tough but there are plenty of guides online to their location so can easily circle back and get them if you miss any.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this game. It was so fun to wander with the Spirit of the North and work at healing the world. I did find several of the puzzles a little challenging, but after taking some time to check my surroundings and think about them they were pretty easy to figure out. The story of this game was really good and I definitely shed a few tears toward the end. I definitely recommend it.
