Umineko When They Cry - Question Arcs

An improvement over Higurashi. I would recommend this VN over most others. I also can't recommend the "07th mod" enough. The writing might be good but everything else is significantly improved by the mod.

07th-Mod is essential for Steam version but I recommend you to reading it from Umineko project which is a port of the PS3's edition of the game. With more opening movies, better ui, exclusive content, lip sync, animated backgrounds and sprites it is superior in every possible way. I'll definitely move it to reading the answer arcs. Apart from that if you are wondering if it is worth reading, only a perfectly written story with legendary ost can keep me reading for 100 hours. Can't even imagine what awaits me in the answer episodes

Look up Umineko Project and download that. It's the best version of the game that you can't get on Steam. I can't proclaim it in red, so let me testify in blue [h3] Ange deserves the world... [/h3]

Played 68 hours and I'm not even half way through the 1st game lmao. I enjoyed what I read but it's just too long. There's too much yapping for me. When it's good it's GOOD but when it's back to yapping it's just too slow for me. Many people call it a masterpiece so I'm sure it's good.

Yeah, this game is way too long and boring for a casual player. This is one piece levels of long and i’m not even joking. The pacing is god-awful. Does it look like I care about or want to see Battler try to literally touch his cousins tits in about an HOUR into the game? No! Does it look like I care about what family member sits at what chair in the dining room? No! When do the murders start? When does the supposed boundless-Goku destroying witches show up? Where’s the crap that we all brought this game to see? Please don’t spend 25$ on this. Don’t even get it on a sale. And yes, I’m not even a pathetic 5 hours into the game yet. But it feels like I’ve been playing for a whole 20 hours. By the time I get to the 10 hour mark (which I won’t because I refunded it) my sanity would have already been thrown out the window, due to how boring everything was leading up to it.

Im not done with umineko yet however i think up until now it has been great I still have like around 15 unanswered questions in my head that i hope i will get answer to in the answer arcs as of now i would give umineko about a 7-8 however i suspect that my actual rating may go up a bit after completing the answer arcs

This visual novel is great! I was hooked the whole way through.
