Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Dynasties of India

In terms of gameplay it is a good dlc. Good mix of new Civilizations and new units. But the story is utter BS. Babur was to India what Genghis Khan was to Europe. He and his future generations savagely attempted to destroy the Indian Civilization - be it languages, temples, spiritual knowledge, civil structures, administrative policies, the very culture itself. But he has been shown like a justified and reformative ruler, which is the equivalent of saying Nazis were a blessing to Europe. Whereas Rajendra Chola, one of the greatest reformers of India, who built hospitals and amazing temples over a 1000 year ago, is shown as a darth vader. Which is both hilarious and ridiculous. I couldn't believe it, it felt as if Microsoft just asked a Pakistani about Indian history and just went ahead with whatever he blabbered. In terms of accuracy, this DLC is worse than whatever Trump says. He has a better chance of saying something right, than the creators of this DLC.

Price recently increased by almost 4 times. Not worth it anymore. Even on sale it still costs more than what its old price was.

This DLC sets the standard for how to create other expansions with a similar intent. It takes a historical region, populates it with various medieval civilizations, and builds unique campaigns around them. Each civilization feels distinct, yet they share regional unique units, creating a diverse but flavorful sense of similarity.

This is what a DLC should be: 3 new civilizations, 3 new campaigns, very interesting part of the world. Inventive ideas, even if not all land, it's never boring. I'd give it 5 stars.
