Call to Arms

This game is basically Men of War but Modern Warfare. Honestly this had some great potential and at times can be fun. But its pretty much been abandoned by the Developers. No new updates, the game still needs bug fixes, etc. But at the same time I guess Call to Arms needed to walk in order for Gates of Hell: Ostfront can run. Honestly its not persay bad, just abandoned. Go get Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront.

Highly broken game. Great concept, but very poorly thought out in terms of actual game play. AI gets to respond to commands made by the player, as they make the command, instead of in response to the consequence of the command, while the player's characters have a hard time finding their weapons with two hands and a flashlight when you tell them to do something. Much less acting autonomously to defend the flags or protect themselves. The AI also gets to have a disproportionate damage counter where their mid range heavy armor is able to one shot player high end heavy armor, while player heavy armor is depleting half their ammunition to have the AI abandon their mid-range hardware for repairs. Mind you, this is all on easy AI as well. This is not to even mention that there was a conquest fight that required the capture of five bases to win, while only four where actually available to capture. It took me 75 minutes to figure this out, and I kind of want to be paid for the waste of my time that this game made due to this absolute waste of my time because the developers couldn't be bothered with figuring out how to make a game actually work properly before release. If these people can get their product together and fix the broken game play before releasing it, they may actually have something. Until then, this isn't worth wasting your time and frustration on playing.

It was fun but, it is so god damn buggy. What do you mean a 50 caliber doesn't insta kill with 2 headshots? And the enemies are apparently mutated strong super soldiers cause they can take APCs and tanks and 50 cals straight to the dome, as well as an explosion straight infront of them. I had no clue what to do in the first part of the game as there is no tutorial, or there is but I couldn't find it. This game would have been fun if they fixed it and made it more realistic with the damage aspect.

After some recent hours put into the game I've come to realize that inside the various skirmish modes the AI handles a lot better on larger maps. The only mode that I seem to have issues with is in the dynamic campaign mode. I think it may be the lack of objectives on smaller maps that leads to laser beam death squads of clumped up units. I have been having fun with combined arms with AI as well as the armored skirmish game mode. I'd also like to add that this is what I would consider now a older title from this dev and I appreciate it for what it does well! Larger maps! I'm sure online multiplayer is a blast but I primarily play single player modes!

Pretty interesting game. I think I wanted to like it more than I did. If you can pick it up on sale though, there's plenty of value in it. Visuals are amazing. I played it near launch and remember it wasn't well optimized but I'm sure it's great now.

I love the game and iv played on other accounts since it was just comming out however seems the game has stopped getting love and modders even abandoned the game since the gates of hell version came out and i would not recommend a dead game to others no matter how much i love it. i can still find fun on the editor mode but not alot of people would find the scripting and editor as fun

Great game overall, but feels a little clunky in certain aspects. Highly recommend playing Ostfront if you enjoy this. Ostfront is overall everything I think this game should've been, but WW2.

So far the game isn't too shabby.. My only gripe is some long loading times but that may be the old hog i'm running it on. Mods have been worth

As an RTS fan, Call to Arms really hits the mark for me. The level of detail in the gameplay is impressive and shows the developers dedication to the genre. While it may not meet every expectation in today’s standards, considering its time of release, it’s still a solid experience. I’ve played other titles from Digitalmindsoft, and this one holds up well especially for those looking for intense, chaotic warfare and a great way to kill time. That said, it leaves you wanting more... more realism, more immersion, and expanded features. No game is perfect, which is why feedback from players is essential. I hope the developers continue to listen to the community and push even further.

Starting interface is confusing. Gameplay is great.

Bro digitalmindsoft pls do something about that profile error that occurs when ever I try to launch the game, it just did that one day. And when ever I try to find it online people just repeat the same thing over and over "go to user and delete the settings file" well guess what THERE IS NOT FILE

Play this game and pretend this is where Captain Scott Mitchell used to train up before he led the Ghosts.

If you like war games, strategy games or single or co-op games then I would recommend this game for sure. My only complaint would be that I wish that there where more countries to play as. Using mods to expand it just doesn't feel the same but otherwise I would definitely recommend this game.

Its Men of war with M4's, ADS with Abrams and Strykers. Get it on sale and just relax, kick back and bring Freedom to the filthy generic terrorists!

Son bastantes divertidas las campañas del juego con los dlcs pero casi no tiene contenido de la comunidad este juego. Comparado con el assault squad tiene una comunidad muy pobre, tiene un par de mods que hacen una conversión total del juego pero se sienten bastantes incompletas y a medio terminar. Una verdadera lástima(igual es divertido btw).

Ich glaube das call to arms echt paar probleme hat oder kommt es mir nur vor das die schwerigkeitsstufen komplett verkehrt herum ist oder verstehe ich das spiel komplett falsch. Echt ich liebe so ein Konzept und die Mechanik dahinter aber so wie es ist ... einfach gesagt ein richtig rein Fall.

I played MOW 1 and 2, plus Assault squad and other subsets. I would say this is the only true successor to it.

this game is a lot like men of war assault squad 2 and that's what i love about it. it was made by the same people, when controling units you can be in first person which makes the experience way better. and unlike men of war this takes place during the war on terrorisom. love this game it's perfect

Bugged to f---. Some missions are unplayable. A 6ft berm will be an insurmountable obstacle as a mission forces you down a valley into the enemies guns.

Do what Squad did and add ADF units and youll have the whole of australia playing this for a few months
