The only positive is I got it on a deep sale. This looks like a deck building game but it is far from it. This is a puzzle game with ridiculous rng. You WILL play the exact cards the devs want you to play on exactly the turn you are supposed to play them. What's that? You only have about a 3% chance to get the card you need? Too bad, try again 47 times until rng gives you what you must have when we say you should have it. The game is 5% skill and 95% rng and I wish I was exaggerating. Each level is a cheesy puzzle game that you either get obscenely lucky to draw the 2 cards you need to effortlessly win or you restart again and again and again until you do. I saw the trick to one level on the 1st turn but it was nearly impossible to beat unless you got 2 very specific cards on the very first turn. Once I restarted enough times for rng to give said 2 cards, the level was beat in 3 turns. Trash tier level design. It is beat your head against the wall trying to find the exact combo of 2 random cards that the devs want you to have in your deck, then restarting until they both show up at the same time. The story is nonstop, pointless exposition with an occasional bit of actual knowledge you need to play. And when I say nonstop I mean nonstop. 3 hours in I was skipping all dialogue as fast as I could click as it was atrociously boring. (Devs, if you want someone to read your dialogue, it has to be interesting and non-repetitive. You are interrupted before, after and even during every fight with someone telling you something 5 other characters have already said.) Will play a bit more in the slim hope the game gets vastly better and quickly. Edit: it got worse. Won't spend anymore time on this cheesy puzzle game. Grats to those who love it, it's not for me. Note to self: any game where the devs are on every negative review having multi-post crash outs, do not buy.

Good puzzle/tactics game. Each of the decks at the player's disposal play differently from the others, with their own strengths and weaknesses and very satisfying combos. Every fight has its own, usually interesting gimmicks, which keep the mechanics fresh and engaging the whole way through. The story is alright. It is fairly intriguing to start off but doesn't have much depth. I found most of the characters rather interesting, but there are a couple of writing choices that grated on me a little: a LOT of bickering between the main cast, and some heavy paternalism towards the only female character (although she is quite cool herself). The big twist was also fairly obvious from the get-go. That said, I still enjoyed it. Overall a fun experience, well worth its full price.
