I've seen playthroughs of this game all over and I love the theming, hope they make a sequel! Also, love Michael Kovach as Graff! Can't wait to play the Bar Brawl either!

I really enjoyed it! Combat was good, story was great, voice acting was amazing! Big fan of the game's art! I look forward to playing again in my next playthrough to get the other endings :)

I've played this game in February earlier this year, and got several of the endings! Initially, I didn't quite know what to expect gameplay-wise, because although I'm acquainted with point-and-click games, I don't usually play beat-em-ups (let alone a game where the beat-em-up mode is toggle-able), but I'm glad that there is a "Relaxed" difficulty since I'm intrigued with how the story would play out. I found the controls clear, the puzzles fun, and the beat-em-up segments surprisingly satisfying to play! :) In addition, I'm genuinely charmed by the story, characters, and voice acting :D Those aspects got me really invested in the game and I ended up completing my first playthrough of BROK in a few days. This game switches between being intriguing, fun, and emotional regardless of what path I headed through, and there's a surprising amount of great detail to the interactions within the game. I can easily see myself coming back for the fun character interactions, quick fights, emotionally-weighted moments, and especially the various endings, some of which I still plan on obtaining ^^

The game is really fun, and the "beat 'em up" part is mostly optional if you prefer to think your way through problems / puzzles. It's satisfying and you feel clever for thinking your way through the problems / puzzles. The problems / puzzles are interesting, and the hint system is much appreciated. It saves you having to look something up outside the game if you get stuck, for the most part. The prologue / demo are generous and showcase the mechanics / story well, so you can get a sense of whether that's the game for you. HOWEVER! Mood spoilers and mechanics spoilers for the ending: Mood spoiler:
The canonical ending is depressing. I got 2 of the more positive endings first, including one that's lowkey considered to be the "golden" ending, so I was horrified to find the canonical ending was so heart-wrenching. In a way it makes sense for the story, which leads to the mechanical spoiler.
Mechanics spoiler:
The time travel mechanic was technically not out of nowhere, because there was an attempt to "plant the seed" for it, but it still felt out of place. The canonical ending makes a certain kind of sense because it "justifies" the time travel mechanic, as it were. This is also evident in the "positive" endings which make a show of how the time travel wasn't "needed". But it was still surprising that the canonical ending wasn't the "golden" ending (or what comes close to a golden ending), as it usually is in time travel games. I can't hold that against the game, the fact that it's different, but it was still surprising and sad.
Despite all that, I still recommend the game because the journey is a lot of fun, and the world is interesting. I am interested to see what the devs do for the sequel. But if the mood of the ending being what I noted in the spoilers above is a deal-breaker for you, now you know.
