Gave this multiple tries and still can't really find the fun. I like the slavic mythology, cool names for the characters, but there is weird unnecessary complexity in the UI and combat system that overall just prevents me from enjoying this title. Shame, as you can see a lot of work went into this, just not with enough thought about the new user experience, I guess.

It's okay-ish. The game itself is fun once you get the hang, but it's quite complicate, the tutorial is overwhelming and it can be quite frustrating at times. It could have eased the player much more gentle into the complexity, instead you're just thrown into the cold water. The events don't leave a lot to experiment, as they seem all very one-dimensional and predictable. Do the good thing and you receive your reward, do the bad thing and you usually lose something major. The mediocre fantasy writing isn't all too clever and i'm just not in the mood for that much text. The user interface is unnecessary complicate while not showing you all the stats you need. This could be much more streamlined. Graphics are sometimes good, sometimes it looks like kids drew it. So yea, it's not necessarily a bad game, the idea is good, it's just a little underwhelming. Now that i played one round for quite a while, i don't have the feeling that i want to go in for another time. Buy it at a sale like i did.

Thea the awakening is a fun game but quite grindy. You have to be prepared to sink hours into the game.

Too grindy to be fun ultimately. I keep retrying it and having fun for a bit and then being exhausted because I just feel like I am miles away from being able to win. Just way, way too long.

Played this game a lot on playstation. Good blend of storytelling and party management. I played Vagrus recently and it was hard not to compare it to this game and appreciate the way this game blocks dialogue in a way that is engaging while being informative.

Very fun game. You do not need to get into long drawn out fights if you don't want to, but if you do there is always ways to optimize. Multiple balanced ways of approaching every game makes it very re-playable.

The first 20-40 hours are great as you don't know what events you can encounter. Later, these events start to repeat, and I noticed that no matter which god you choose, the game plays identically. The enemies are like barbarians in Civilisation games, but they are dumb and serve no purpose other than to annoy you. You can take your time, as there's no rush. The mobs get stronger over time, but if you take your time, they can't do anything to you. If you play on the hardest difficulty, then the mobs just rush towards you and are more aggressive. I thought I would see more giants or dragons, but unfortunately, I did not. You can skip the story; there are a few endgame scenarios, depending on what you do with the cosmic tree. I tried to love this game, but unfortunately, the more I play it, the more I get annoyed with it.
