I love this game and I am so looking forward to the DLC. The game is perfect for people who like speedrunning and for anyone who enjoys doing kills in quick succession. I personally enjoy the music and watching the replays of really good level clears. Story is really compelling and there is plenty of secrets and challenges for people who seek that out. This game is worth every cent and is definitely worth your time!

Bro I don't even understand the plot of this game and I still think it's peak. Katana ZERO is a game that I had been sleeping on for a while. It was on my radar of 'games that would probably be cool but i might not like them' but god was I wrong. The story is deep and cryptic but not extremely difficult to understand. It's super fast paced and the combat is simple but REALLY satisfying. The world is corrupt and the characters feel real. You start out having no clue what you're doing or where you are and by the end (if you've been paying attention) you might understand why this dude in a bathrobe is going around committing mass genocide. If you are thinking about getting this game you need to change that NOW. 10/10

I haven't played this game for a long time but the attention to detail is impeccable for an indie game. Such an awesome experience because it combines lore and awesome gameplay.

Katana ZERO is a great, short, linier game. It has a fun gameplay loop, awesome sound design and a bit confusing, yet interesting story. The game wasn’t a wow experience for me, but it does its job at being a nice refresher from big games. Also I heard there’s a DLC coming, so I’m kinda excited to see what it has to offer. Overall Katana Zero is worth it, and I recommend it. I rate this game 8.6/10.

I could not stop playing this game for hours dude. This game is so fun to get good at and it is so satisfying to play and deflect bullets. The story is really good to because of how invested you get into the important characters and even the less important characters are cool to chat with. My only problem with the game is that it is not that long, but luckily we are getting a DLC that will be FREE! Buy this game asap you will not regret it if you are cool man. 9/10

If you love fast paced games Katana Zero is for you. The gameplay is really fun, it's a bit like hotline miami but there you have way more trial and error. The soundtrack in this game is amazing, the visuals are really good. The story is dark, it's full of mystery until the end and even then some of your questions aren't answered. I genuinely expected just a fun game without much story but I was left happily surprised by the end. Overall this game is amazing and if you are wondering if you should get it, if you like 2d games, do it, if you like fast paced games, do it, if you don't mind having to retry some of the sections again and again cuz you keep failing, get it. And if you played Hotline Miami you're probs gonna like this game

An absolute indie gem. The recent free DLC teaser finally convinced me to buy this game, and man was it a hella wild ride. Akiisoft nailed the atmosphere, the story, and also that banger soundtrack (I even have it on my Spotify lol). On sale or not, do yourself a favor and get this game.

Really amazing game, with a twist I didn't really expect at all. Fucking insane the dev still hasn't made the DLC but it's nothing that can be done about it i guess. It's probably hard to create something when you're trying to make some satisfying ending everyone can appreciate.

I haven't had this much fun playing a video game in a long time. On the outside this game looked like everything I was searching for. It had a distinct art style, awesome music direction, and satisfying combat. As I looked for other reviews of this game the only negative that people brought up was "A story that seemed to save its best ideas for a sequel." I would disagree strongly with that gripe. I think the story in this game was incredibly well written and well executed. I got sucked into this game so deeply I finished it in only 2 sessions that were about 3 hours. If anyone asks me about this game I will tell them to get it whether it is on sale or not. If you are reading this wondering if you should buy this game, please do. This game truly stands out in my many years of gaming.

Excellent game, which manages the feat to have an energic gameplay, awesome pixel art and music and a good story. You can feel the influence from Hotline Miami, and if you like Synthwave aesthetics you will surely like it.

Friend recommended me this game, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Fast-paced action, gorgeous pixel art and I am amazed by it's replayabilty, just looking at every possibility on how to succeed on a mission, oh my god. I love it.

Nice. While games with gore aren't my cup of tea, I had to make an exception for this, as the neon aesthetic and gameplay was on point and the touching story and synthwave music is good too. If you like samurai, neon-punk dystopia and time manipulation, this is the indie game for you.

Despite having beaten this game and almost 100% it through Family Sharing I bought this game not only to support the devs but so I could also write a review. To keep it relatively short and sweet, Katana ZERO is one hell of an experience. From its music that'll pump you up throughout your fights or the enthralling gameplay that almost never ceases to feel snappy and rewarding this game is a must play. I've never really played hack and slashers but I can definitely say that this managed to grab my attention unlike many modern games. I salute you Askiisoft and I will happily join the hype train for the upcoming DLC.

As a person who can not do speedruns , i had a lot of fun with the last achievement. I like this game alot the story was cool all the characters were very intersting , i loved the little girl neighbour bless her soul , HOWEVER i didn't like the hardmode on this game , i know im bad at the game however , it was just ANTI FUN , u can't dash cuz the orenge guy will kick u , u can't slash cuz there is like 15 bullets coming at u , i feel like the hard mode was very limated on the ways you can apporach the level and im gonna be honest the only reason i could do the speed run achivement was beacue i would keep telling my self atleast its not the hard mode. all and all goated game , hopefully the DLC that is coming is also good.

I would say that this one of the BEST games I have ever played Its so simple but reminds me of Kill Bill with the story slowly revealing itself to you. cool game and plot at all. but... damn, defeating headhunter was...pretty sad. But if to revise whole game it worth it, and in addition leaves you with a lot of worries just for yourself by the end of the game. In my opinion games are the mirror of humanity and what is happens inside people's minds. And judging by that I can say... people try to be nice to one another, being kind is always hard but if not starting with yourself... then in who people would want to hope?

Its crazy that this short of a game can present such an incredible story with this good of a presentation.

Short, sweet, and to the point. You likely won't take more than 4 hours to see this game through to the end, but it's a solid experience worth every penny. Though, if you're short on patience or lacking quick reaction times, this one might be worth a pass; while the time slow mechanic can help alleviate the need for a quick trigger finger somewhat, the game requires you to master its parry timing to reach the end.

I played this game on my switch 247 when it first came out, just finished it on PC and safe to say it still gets me bricked whenever I kill someone

最近又通关了一次武士零。（其实正确翻译应该是武士刀零） 之前玩的时候有些太过于囫囵吞枣了，甚至没有明白这究竟讲了一个什么故事而仅仅沉浸在爽快的游戏机制中了。这一次则发现了很多之前没注意到的地方。 首先是音乐部分。最容易感受到的是整体上音效上使用8-bit音效契合整体的美术风格；游戏在播放录像带的时候会去除掉一些高频的音轨；在玩家减慢时间的时候，除了音乐变慢之外，可能还有类似于切除高频的处理，总之等等一系列对于音频的重视增加了游玩过程的沉浸感。 另外是叙事手法部分，虽然是像素游戏，但是故事的表达力上却不输很多大作。最值得一说的是对话气泡中的文字样式，使用了不一样的文字样式去表达不一样的情绪和语气；使用glitch postprocess去表达主角的记忆混乱；抖动的文字选择框来给玩家带来一些烦躁和不安的感受。 当然还有具有内心深度的主人公以及有着巧妙叙事诡计的剧情，估计已经有许多详实深刻的评论了，我就不再班门弄斧了。忍不住想表达的是，故事有着很多的留白，给予了很多遐想的空间。小女孩红色的裙子往往代表小女孩实则并不存在，而是主角善念的象征，这一善念来源则是他早年杀死敌国孩童所意识到的。让他在后期认为自身不是一个军方所断定的无情杀人机器。心理医生则极力抹除主人公这一段的记忆，让他能够不假思索地结束一切。最终主人公陷入善与生存的抉择中去，非常有戏剧张力。 以上种种，让其有了区别于一般2D横版卷轴游戏的质感，使其更加严肃而深刻。

It reminds me of the joy of playing arcade games as a kid. The one - hit - kill rule adds difficulty, while the anti - war theme gives it depth and significance despite its somber tone.

Game is genuinely good and fun asf. My one complaint with it is how the inputs mess up sometimes when ur in the heat of battle. Other than that it's a 9/10 from me
