Now that I've 100%ed this game... This game is awesome! Challenging, fun, VERY replayable. Each run is pretty long, enough that losses HURT when they happen. The assignments were the most fun part of the game for me, especially attempting all of the challenge variants. The gadget/supplement pool starts to feel a little slim after about 50 hours, but at that point the game's become about optimization and the limited pool keeps things from being too RNG-dependent. I'm probably done now that I've 100%ed it, but who knows. Maybe I'll come back and try to get some better prestige scores! I highly recommend this game!

If you want to play a mining game, this is the one. At launch it only offered a kind of Arcade mode, but now with the addition of Guild Keeper challenges, you have a somewhat loose goal-oriented quasi-campaign mode - and those are some interesting challenges, let me tell you. Although you might not immediately make it in the harder versions of said challenges, it has that "one more try" feel that'll make you want to come back for more.

Its a great game about defending your base from monsters while micro managing a mine under neath it is indeed a fun game however very time consuming. Each run could take anywhere from 15 minutes to a little over an our. However if you can get past the difficulty scaling and the amount of time it takes its great with a wonderful mod workshop.

Dome Keeper – A Hidden Gem That Gets Under Your Skin I didn’t expect Dome Keeper to be this addictive. On the surface, it looks like a simple little pixel art game—dig down, bring resources back up, fight off some alien waves. But once you start playing, it’s like the game grabs you by the collar and whispers, “just one more run.” What makes it so good is the balance between calm and chaos. You’re down in the mines, in your own little rhythm—digging, planning routes, trying to optimize how much you can carry. It’s oddly peaceful, almost meditative. Then BOOM—sirens blare, monsters start crawling toward your dome, and suddenly it’s a frantic scramble to defend your little bubble of survival. That push and pull keeps things fresh and tense every time. The upgrades are satisfying too. You really feel the difference when you finally speed up your drill or get better defenses. There’s this cool layer of strategy—should I improve my jetpack or work on the laser? Do I risk staying underground longer or go back up early to be ready for the next wave? Every choice feels meaningful. And the pixel art? Gorgeous in its own gritty way. The soundtrack helps a lot too—it’s eerie, low-key, and fits the atmosphere perfectly. You’re alone, on an alien planet, just trying to survive. The vibe is strong. If I had one small gripe, it’s that some runs can feel a bit slow if you don’t get good resource luck early on. But honestly, even then, I still enjoy the process. It’s never boring, just a different kind of challenge. Dome Keeper surprised me. It’s simple, but it’s got depth. It’s short-run friendly, but also dangerously bingeable. If you like indie games that mix action, strategy, and a little bit of chill digging sim, this one’s absolutely worth your time.

Picked it up on a whim to kill some time and have been EXTREMELY positively surprised! The gameplay is a liiiittle one-note but all the different challenge modes, scenarios and possible builds you can take on every run already give a lot of replayability + everything that you find during a run adding even more variety. All of that more than makes up for the straight forward loop of hit rock, bring shiny back. Absolute gem of an indie game and a full 100% recommend to anyone even slightly considering getting this!

I had high expectations for this game. I wasn't disappointed. You play this game and think that it's worth playing. But what's the point of the mission?

I've done a disservice by playing this game since launch and never reviewing it. I am in love with Dome Keeper. The art and music is beautiful, and the sense of discovery has kept me playing for almost 3 years. I cannot recommend this game enough!

I like the mix of mining and tower defense, blends really well and makes for stressful but fun situations. The pixel art is pretty, and the enemy variety is interesting. However, l wish this game had more impactful meta progression because the start of each run can be a slog, but the developer is pretty clear it's not meant to be a roguelite. With the added assignments and prestige mode, there is a lot of replayability and hours in front of you, especially if you like getting all the achievements. It's a cool game, definitely worth your time.

despite the huge learning curve this game proved to be a crap ton of fun, totally worth the price and you will be caught up for hours playing this because of the many different challenges and domes to try.

What a great, fun little game. I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing, and as you can see by how many hours I've poured into this, there is something enjoyable here. The balance of having to mine and find your randomly spawned resources while having solid tower-defense was an extremely well-executed combo. -Run variation is incredible -Challenge modes for added difficulty (or less difficulty, for the casual chill mining!) -Multiple towers with different ways of tower defense was so unique -The variance of the planet surfaces and the way everything sounds was just right -And the art of the game... Loved it. That and the great music I also know I haven't played much since they added even more, and there was already plenty then. I look forward to coming back to this game repeatedly and satisfied for as long as I can. Great job devs!

Would really recommend checking this one out - it's really well executed and will keep you entertained for a long time. I expected it to be fun after playing the demo back before it was even called 'Dome Keeper' but the actual finished game massively exceeded expectations. It's hard to describe why it's so worthwhile... I guess it has all the hallmarks of a 'classic' game, it has a lasting impact.

So far played for a couple hours, and I LOVE IT. I often have some rough moments where I struggle because I am not used to wave defense games, but without those moments, the game would not have any tension. At the same time I also have had moments of feeling overpowered and almost instantly dealing with a wave. I really hope they release a multiplayer mode for the game as I would love to experience this with friends. I understand that balancing tends to fail though in multiplayer situations.

When I bought this game I said to myself "Why do I need I dome? I'm totally going to sell this on Facebook Marketplace for like $5 or a cool hat". But then when I saw the dome...? I said "Ya know what? I'm not selling this dome. I'm going to keep it." In the past I never would've thought of myself as a dome keeper, but here we are I guess. Also the game is good.

Visually simple, but mechanically engaging and immersive experience. It doesn't have tons of content - you can unlock every game mechanic in ~ 8 hours - but what it does have is super satisfying to play. Proof that more is not always better when it comes to making a fun game.

The duality of this game is where you really lose yourself. I tell myself, "One more mining delve." Then I say, "Well, actually, one more survival against the monsters." Then I say that back and forth until my wife is made that I've disappeared for hours. Super addictive.

First hour I was skeptic if it was really as fun as the first gameplay I saw, but after the first run I really got and started to like the concept. After realising how much stuff there is to discover, I'm planning to sink more time into the gameplay.

Very well made 2d game, 10/10 score for game balance and variety given its simple mechanics. It basically evolves around digging tunnels under your dome between a wave of enemies and the other, looking for resources and rare relics to upgrade your weapons and defences. The very carefully planned upgrade tree paired with a good set of game modes, difficulty and different challenges makes the game very enjoyable even after you have mastered the highest difficulty. I keep coming back to it from time to time to maybe try a new challenge, or a new combination of dome weaponry and map options.

All i can say, is i wish there was a way to do prestige without leader boards. Can't play prestige if you use certain mods. Otherwise, 10/10 game. Just wish I could play endless how I wanted, without any leader boards. I don't care about score.

It's good but unless you're a completionist I don't see how some people can play 50+ hours. There are fun modifiers and different stuff to use but I feel the runs basically feel very much the same in the end, and I think the whole thing is just a tad too slow. Maybe I'm just not getting it. A mild recommendation. 6.5/10

This game..... wow. Games like this make me think, yeah, gaming still has some real passion and soul - this game is OOZING WITH IT. Fun little rougelike, enjoying learning which synergies are great together (and which ones are not) - 10/10

100% recommend. It's a really fun rouge like, and the core game play is addicting. I think they're trying to implement multiplayer soon. If that's the case, this game will be a solid 15/10 for me. I honestly find the mining to be super relaxing too, and the soundtrack never get's old for me. There's plenty to unlock and tons of different ways to play. Definitely give Dome Keeper a try

dome keeper, i remember seeing this game a few years ago and i thought i want that game then i realised it wasn't really that good BUT now with all this new content It is so much more fun endless options infinite joy and entertainment with all these new domes ( tesla dome is so damn fun to play ) same with the artillery dome but the least fav dome has to be the sword dome tho, but still this game is AMAZING definitely recommended and i almost forgot to mention the fact that the developer even allows mods makes it SO much easier to install mods on a game and the community has the best art i've ever seen and has such creativity when it comes to memes and modding. I LOVE THIS GAME TAKE MY MONEY BIPPINBITS

A save game option would be nice. I messed up in the last battle, but there's not option to reload or try again, so you have to start over. Mining is extremely repetitive and forcing players to redo it for failed runs is bad design. I should be able to retry the final battle. Very frustrating.
