Very good game! The gameplay is very fun, and the story is amazing. The voice acting is a tossup, Sam from the campaign is... ok... he has a weird nasally voice that doesn't really fit his character, but the actor did his best. Everyone else did pretty alright, and the FEDNET GUY? He is PEAK, his voice is better than the announcers from the movie (I've only watched the first one, most would consider the best anyways). Absolutely exemplary performance. The strategy of micromanaging your guys is cool, but it becomes VERY hard to do it effectively when you need to clear out big hives on the larger "slowly clear out hives" mission type, but it's ok. The combat system and tactics aren't very well suited to large RTS sized maps, it's better suited to defense and cramped spaces, not large open maps with the ability to have a dozen squads at once. If you are really into zipping around the map at sonic speeds and micromanaging your guys, you'll probably love those missions, but I personally don't like them. They're not horrible so if you think the rest sounds good, it's worth it to push through those. Otherwise, yeah it's really fun, I love this game. Marines are fun to spam, I love sending crayon munchers to their deaths. Bought the DLCs like, the day after I bought the game because I knew I'd love em. Haven't finished the full campaign yet at the time of writing, but yeah I know I'm gonna love em (like 2 missions away). So yeah if you don't really like other RTS games, but you loved to play Halo Wars (both of them) back in the day, this game will sit right with you. So, I have to ask you: Are you doing YOUR part??? GET IN THERE SOLDIER! Update: If you use the default controlscheme for moving your camera optimally (left hand on <^> and right ctrl for combat move) you WILL get carpel tunnel. my left elbow is in pain. Rebind the move camera keys to WASD and save yourself the trouble.

Definitely a fun RTS, but it needs more...sound effects? It needs sound effects for soldiers marching, marauder mechs walking, fighter jets and bombers flying overhead, etc.

Starship Troopers: Terran Command is a real-time strategy game that plunges players into the intense and chaotic battles against the infamous Arachnid threat. Drawing inspiration from the cult classic sci-fi franchise, the game places you in command of the Mobile Infantry, where tactical decision-making and resource management become crucial to surviving waves of relentless alien attacks. The setting captures the grim, militaristic tone fans expect, with a focus on large-scale combat scenarios that demand both strategic foresight and quick reflexes. From the outset, Terran Command establishes a challenging gameplay loop where players must build and manage bases, deploy troops, and coordinate attacks against increasingly dangerous swarms of bugs. The game emphasizes the importance of positioning and unit synergy, encouraging players to adapt their strategies to different Arachnid types that behave uniquely and require varied approaches to defeat. The pacing of missions strikes a balance between moments of frantic action and slower periods of base-building and preparation, keeping the tension high throughout the campaign. One of the standout features is the diverse roster of units available to the player, each with specialized roles ranging from infantry squads and heavy weapon teams to mechanized units like tanks and missile launchers. Upgrading and customizing these units adds a layer of depth, as players must decide how best to allocate limited resources in order to enhance survivability and firepower. The enemy design is particularly noteworthy, with the Arachnids presenting a constant, evolving threat that forces players to rethink their tactics regularly, maintaining engagement over the course of the campaign. Visually, Starship Troopers: Terran Command delivers a solid presentation with detailed environments and well-animated units that bring the battlefield to life. The sound design further enhances immersion, with impactful weapon effects, tense music, and the characteristic insectoid screeches contributing to an atmosphere of danger and urgency. While the graphics don’t push the boundaries of the genre, they are functional and effective, supporting gameplay clarity even during large-scale battles where dozens of units clash simultaneously. The campaign itself offers a compelling narrative that ties into the broader Starship Troopers lore, providing context and motivation for the battles. Missions vary in objectives, from base defense and resource capture to direct assault, which helps keep the gameplay fresh. However, some players may find the difficulty spikes challenging, as the game demands careful micromanagement and strategic planning, rewarding those who invest time in mastering unit control and battlefield tactics. Overall, Starship Troopers: Terran Command successfully captures the spirit of the franchise by delivering a tactical RTS experience that is both accessible and rewarding for fans of strategy games. Its blend of base management, unit customization, and intense combat encounters offers a solid challenge that feels authentic to the universe it portrays. While it may not revolutionize the genre, it stands as a competent and enjoyable addition to the Starship Troopers legacy, particularly for those who appreciate methodical warfare against overwhelming alien hordes. Although it does not reach the potential it could have its a good ST game with some of the propaganda we like from the movies, the game play needs to be more refined.

Gameplay Mechanics: 8/10 Narrative: 6/10 Graphics: 7/10 Sound and Music: 7/10 Replayability: 6/10 Innovation: 7/10 Starship Troopers: Terran Command is a surprisingly strong real-time tactics game that captures the feel of the iconic sci-fi franchise. It’s all about boots-on-the-ground warfare against swarms of bugs, and the game nails the tension, pacing, and atmosphere—especially in its single-player campaign. Gameplay mechanics are tight and focused. You control squads of troopers, place them strategically, and manage line-of-sight and firing arcs. Positioning matters a lot here—letting enemies flank you or bottleneck your forces leads to brutal losses. It’s more tactics than base-building, and that streamlined approach works well. Score: 8/10. Narrative borrows heavily from the Starship Troopers satire, complete with over-the-top propaganda and militaristic tone. It’s entertaining, if a bit shallow, and adds flavor between missions. Score: 6/10. Graphics are solid. The environments are dusty and war-torn, the bug swarms look menacing, and unit animations are clean. It’s not cutting-edge, but it feels right for the setting. Score: 7/10. Sound and music are immersive. The radio chatter, gunfire, and alien screeches add great energy to combat, and the soundtrack fits the militaristic tone nicely. Score: 7/10. Replayability is moderate. The campaign is well-paced but linear. There aren’t branching choices or skirmish/randomized missions (at least at launch), so once you’re done, there’s not much reason to return unless DLC adds more. Score: 6/10. Innovation is respectable. While not groundbreaking, the blend of squad tactics with heavy attention to positioning and suppression creates intense, satisfying combat that fits the source material. Score: 7/10. Bottom line: Starship Troopers: Terran Command is a great time if you enjoy focused tactical gameplay and a world full of bug-blasting, military satire. It’s not deep like Company of Heroes, but it captures the spirit of the franchise and delivers a fun, intense experience for strategy fans.

Super cool, I didn't even know this ever existed somehow yet I've always been a big fan of the universe. Playing a game in the universe is cool. Plays a lot like Helldivers.

Great RTS based in the Star Ship Troopers Film universe. Less about microing, more about setting up tactical firing lines as your units cannot shoot through each other. Lots of fun units to use and bugs to kill. I'd recommend the base game and the two DLC's, I had a great time with each campaign.

Great RTS game with a blast of nostalgia if you watched the movie back in the day. It draws a lot of art and models from the movie which is nice but sadly no Dizzy so they lose a point for that. Almost forgot, shit loads of community content to explore as well including entire campaigns

The game is on truck to be good but... Why at easy, it need to be so hard? Why I can not build my army but stack in 4-5-6 units with a tons of limitations? What is the point of 3 minute attacks time counter, at the time that the enemy attack is non stop? There is no strategy in game, you get stronger the enemy attack is stronger, you are weak the enemy attack is week. This is a rush game, not a strategy one.. This is a good game idea, nice build game but the non game experience creators is screaming...

After countless hours just crushing though the campaign mode, on normal difficulty, i still can not just build a base and fight. i have to grind away with limited resources. Grind and grind and more grinding just build units to chip away the bugs and die, then build more. What a normal mission with simple objectives takes more then 40+ minutes to complete is just boring. The game is extremely slow(not performance) just straight game play. I have thousands of hours on all kinds of RTS games. I was excited to play this, but its freaking boring. Speed it up or have MORE action. To much running around. Might as well just play diablo 2 or something, kinda has the same feel as that.

A love letter to the movie franchise while avoiding the overwhelmingly stupid parts of the sequels.
