I was enjoying this game, up until the Africa level. Multiple forum posts have been made about a bug that makes the level unbeatable. This has been a bug since last year, and thus far I can see no effort on the devs to actually fix this. It's deep enough into the game that it's impossible to get a refund for a game that I can't finish. Only get it at a steep discount if you want part of a cozy cleaning sim.

A very simple premise but absolutely is very satisfying and gives you just enough to be sucked into the game for hours

Cute little game. Each part of the map has you saving different animals, which you can pet (except the whales). There are a lot of things brought from their other cleaning game (which is much longer and I also recommend trying). There are a few bugs and if you care about completing all achievements I suggest looking them up so you know what to look out for. It did take me multiple runs to get all the achievements and I was unable to get one of them to work and ended up having to edit save files. But all in all, it was cute and worth the sale price.

Take the Powerwasher from Power Wash Sim, and take the vacuum from Slime Rancher, and you get Fresh Start Cleaning Sim. Just a peaceful and enjoyable game about satisfying your OCD to clean up things. Oh, and you can pet animals too. AND, you can even put hats on cats. There may also be a glowing chicken somewhere I only wish that v-sync wasn't required to run the game over 60FPS. Motion is a little stuttery. ABSOLUTELY worth the sale price as of current ($2.99) 7.8/10

Fresh Start Cleaning Simulator offers a charming and peaceful experience that centers around environmental restoration. Set in a series of beautifully damaged biomes, players take on the role of a cleanup worker equipped with a multifunctional hose-vacuum tool. The primary gameplay involves washing away mud, vacuuming trash, and reviving neglected plants. As each area is cleared, wildlife returns, and nature begins to flourish again. The game does a fantastic job of turning the simple act of cleaning into something visually rewarding and emotionally satisfying. The mechanics are straightforward but engaging. Players can use water to break down grime and vacuum to remove debris, converting trash into experience points that fuel upgrades. These enhancements allow for larger water tanks, broader spray coverage, and quality-of-life improvements like auto-sprinklers and detection tools to help locate missed items. Even with the availability of automation, many players find themselves preferring the manual process. There’s something deeply relaxing about methodically clearing a cluttered space and watching the environment spring back to life. Each level in the game is themed around a specific global biome, from forested train tracks to areas affected by wildfires. These levels come with their own mini-narratives and environmental goals, such as rescuing animals or restoring habitats. Completing a level to 95% and finishing associated side objectives unlocks the next stage. This structure provides a sense of progression while maintaining a stress-free atmosphere, making it ideal for players looking for a low-pressure gaming experience. The ecological focus adds a layer of meaning, subtly encouraging awareness of environmental care. Despite its strengths, the game has some limitations. With only a handful of maps, the total gameplay time hovers around 8 to 10 hours. For those seeking long-term replayability, this may not be enough. There are also minor technical issues that can detract from the experience—items occasionally clip through objects, sprinklers can behave inconsistently, and some players have encountered progression bugs that require revisiting levels. These issues are small but noticeable, especially for completionists aiming for 100% clean-up. Another potential drawback is comfort during extended sessions. Some users have reported motion sickness due to the first-person perspective, and the lack of field-of-view or head-bob settings can exacerbate this. On top of that, the user interface on controllers and the Steam Deck feels awkward at times, and the game doesn’t currently offer full keybinding customization, which could be a barrier for accessibility or comfort. Still, the overall response to Fresh Start Cleaning Simulator has been very positive, particularly among fans of cozy and relaxing games. Many players enjoy using it as a wind-down activity, often pairing it with music or podcasts. It delivers a unique and thoughtful experience with an uplifting message, packaged in a serene and visually appealing style. Though relatively short and occasionally rough around the edges, it succeeds at what it sets out to do—providing a peaceful, purpose-driven gameplay loop that’s as soothing as it is satisfying. Finished the game. Cozy and easy to understand. It is true the sprinkler does not water everything and you have to do it by hand but besides that it is a good game

The gameplay loop is relaxing at first, but gets boring pretty fast. Especially watering the damn trees, bushes and flowers, the process takes ages and gives so little in return. Good to pickup for a few hours of chill time, but don't expect to be playing it for a long time. Pick it up if there's a sale.

I love the game! It's relaxing, even though the gameplay is kind of repetitive. Would recommend it if you like this type of games.

Decent game. Casual cleaning game. The game is a bit janky and I was locked out of an achievement due to a bug. But overall still was nice relaxing cleaning.

Very fun and relaxing game that I purchased on sale. Finished it in under one day. The levels are pretty awesome and the background music is catchy. This was a nice break from PowerWash Simulator. If you like that one, you'll probably love this as well. I only ran into one bug... the auto-sprinkler stopped appearing even after starting new levels. Had to completely exit the game and restart for it to appear again. Note that you will only unlock about half of the level up options by the time you finish the game.

This game is adorable! A very good game for the most part, very straight forward and easy to pick up. I think even a kid could play it- but the one thing that scared me a little was seeing some of the trees on fire in one or two levels and thinking I was on a time limit to save the animals, lol! Other than that mini jumpscare, I love this game and it will get repeat play!

A charming little game about cleaning up trash and helping the environment; easy to play and beat in a day if you have the time for it. This is certainly a more relaxing sort of game where you can just turn your brain off and clean up the areas you go to. It might not be for everyone due to the lack of excitement but it's nice if you want something simple! My only suggestions for the game are a better soundtrack and to give the animals you can pet a unique animation after you pet them; it was a bit disappointing to pet a sheep and it have absolutely no reaction.

I absolutely Loved this game! I couldn't stop playing it. It is so relaxing. The only negative thing I have to say is there isn't enough levels. If you put out DLC I would 1000% buy it! Please make a lot more spaces!

A first person peaceful relaxing nature cleaning and restoration game Nice artwork. Runs smooth. A nice change from more challenging simulation games. Basically you travel to different regions and help animals by cleaning and restoring their natural habitats. Its a short game but its on sale right now . I enjoyed it. The animals are really cute and you can pet them. I'd recommend it.
