Trover Saves the Universe

When making VR only games, it really requires the devs to be creative in terms of gameplay and mechanics and all these Justin Roiland games really succeed at that, they all play differently. In this game you are seated in a rotating chair and control your alien companion's body around with a controller. You move around the map by moving the character to different warp points that warp your stationary chair around. You meet a lot of different characters throughout this adventure and they will often ask you questions or leave important decisions to you and you can answer yes or no by nodding or shaking your head, this leads to some fun reactions from characters depending on your responses. The rest of the game is a normal fighting platformer with very basic puzzles. Like mentioned, this is another Justin Roiland game in a Justin Roiland style, that means all dialogue and characters have that awkward unpolished speaking pattern that you either like or hate, so if you don't like it or find it annoying, don't play this. The highlight of these games is that they are full of very unethical choices, that you are not normally allowed to take in other games, and this game of course isn't short on those. A few issues I encountered is first an issue with audio. It is easy to fix though, since it's caused by the game untabbing when it is launched. Just click on the screen to tab back into the game after launching it and it should fix it. Position or view calibration is another one. There is an issue with your position and perspective not being centered correctly, like you will spawn outside of your own body and can therefore see the headless you sitting in the chair. I fixed it by just continuously repositioning and moving around till it felt right and I stood/sat on my own body. Overall, a great game for any VR owners looking for new things to play. The only game I know that gives you an upgrade in real life if you get all the collectables. The power babies sure do unlock some power and reward you for your work, in real life, not just in game. Collect all of them. Also you get to save cute dogs.

This game is really fun. Simple controls, decent puzzles. Sometimes its frustratingly easy to miss something obvious though. Love the raunchy Roiland humor! You do have to input a line into the launcher on steam to get it to work, its in discussions somewhere i believe! I'm glad I did it rather than returning the game because it would've been a shame to miss out on this old gem.

This is a very interesting game. I bought the for both my Meta Quest version and Steam. I like the game, but the the developer is very bad at keep updating and keep the game workable. However, it doesn't lunch at all on steam. Fortunately the OPENSSL_ia32cap lunch option hacks works for me. It is really annoying the developer should update their runtime library to make it compatible on new platforms. For the Meta Quest version, when I updated to 74, the game is just black screen after loading animation. Main menu or game menu do not show up. The developer is so terrible at making game works.

I will never forgive this game for making me get all those stupid babies. Never forgive.

Good experience, but you will never play this game more than once after u beat it.
