People love talking about game balance—tweaking numbers, adjusting synergies, blah blah blah. Nomad Survival couldn’t care less. It throws you into a pixelated hurricane of relics, skill spam, and glowing deathballs and says, “Hope you packed a raccoon.” Pick a class, grab a Heritage that either buffs you or ruins your life in a fun way, then proceed to spin, burn, slash, or curse your way through absurd enemy swarms. It’s less about strategy and more about stacking so many passives that your screen becomes a rave light show with health bars. You’ll unlock new characters, pets that steal your loot (helpfully), and enough achievements to turn you into a sleep-deprived archivist. The game doesn’t want to be balanced—it wants to be broken in the most entertaining way possible. I wholeheartedly recommend this game to all fans of other games in the genre. The only thing stopping it from being a perfect 10--no official modding support on Steam or anywhere to be found online (that I could see).

Nomad Survival is pretty much your standard survivor like, or at least it was the standard of the time a few years ago... This was one of the earlier games to be released to ride the hype following the massive success of Vampire survivors. It was alright enough at the time I suppose, but hasn't really aged all that gracefully over the years as the genre has only become more refined and competitive. I would best describe the game as like Vampire Survivors but for people with masochistic tendencies. The game itself was pretty average for its time, and is even more unremarkable today. Its got a decent smattering of relatively shallow ideas that sound good on paper but lack the execution to really stick together cohesively. I found that much of the enjoyment I got from the game came from my own self imposed challenges compared to the actual gameplay. The game certainly still has its charms, in what I always felt was an almost self deprecating "so mid its good" kind of way, although its not like the game itself is inherently bad or anything. This game is only really gonna appeal to a certain kind of person though. Someone who enjoys self imposed challenges, and limiting themselves in various ways, someone who can squeeze enjoyment out of KNOWING they could be playing something better. Its like playing in mud or eating off brand potato chips. To use one of my favorite analogies, if you died and went to limbo, playing through and 100%ing this game would be the task and/or punishment you might receive in order to reincarnate into your next life. Does this game deserve a positive review? I would say yes, although probably with an asterisk or two attached to it. The game itself, while perfectly enjoyable just doesn't match up to the polish and quality of the original Vampire Survivors OR many of the newer ones for the same price. There are just many other better games out there these days better worth your money and even more importantly for this genre, your TIME. There isn't really anything special about this one to justify playing it it you aren't the kind of person mentioned earlier in this review. I will give it a positive review because I did enjoy it, but I don't think I would recommend it to the majority of people out there.

The game was good at first, sadly I can't recommend it as I refuse to support this dev. He makes a game, doesn't finish it and never solves bugs, lashes out at the community for any critisisme and then abandons their games and makes a new cashgrab with the excuse that they are burned out. It's just a scam at this point and the dev should be banned from steam.
