Streets of Rage 4

Desperately needs up to 4 player online co op. Such a great game otherwise.

2D brawler peak. play this game and wrap up the whole genre. you dont need another one unless you are a big fan of teenage mutant turtle or hardcore capcom arcade fans. We may find more stylish and adventurous attempt on the formula back in 90s. but in 2020s this game rules them all.

Good time primarily due to its ability to be beginner-oriented. The game's mechanics make it easy for those wishing for a real challenge, but the solid looks, playable characters, and overall performance carry the load a ton. DLC is a nice side order, too. Think of it as something one dabbles in now and then when one wants to break from the main game.

At the time of this post i just realized i had 94 hours played. It made me realize i should put a review saying how much i love this game. This game went from 90% to 100% after the updates.

Castle Crashers is my all time favourite beat 'em up. It was integral to my childhood and my reason for making an xbox live account. Streets of Rage 4 has no such soft spot in my heart, yet I feel confident saying it may very well be the greatest beat 'em up of all time.

A good old game back to life where the finish the game once is easy and it becomes harder and harder when raise difficulty. Not like modern games where to finish the games once is a pain and then it is easy as a eating a cake.

I like this game. It's exciting and the controls are easy. I like how the different characters have different strengths. The DLC adds so much replay value and your characters grow stronger each time you play.

Great as a sequel and as its own game. Faithful, good looking, mechanically sound, and challenging enough. Proves that legacy sequels do work, when done with care and passion, and with no blatant pandering to anyone or anything.

This game is so perfect for the Steam Deck or a Steam Box I can't get over it. I have a Bazzitte Steam Box on my 77" OLED and was playing with a controller. The graphics are great, the music is great and the game play is very good. I highly recommend that if you like any side-scroller fighting games to add this to your library immediately.

Great beat em up game lots of fun the health special recovery mechanic is very cool Its pretty long and doesn't have multiple paths so replaying isn't as fun as some other bmups but that's really the only complaint I have DLC survival mode is pretty fun too but some of the random hazards are a little too oppressive/easy to abuse sometimes

this has got to be by fart the best beat-em-up I've played in a while. The devs really knocked this one out of the park. awesome art style, smooth animations, bangin' soundtrack, and a handful of characters with their own unique attacks, combo sets, abilities, and special attacks. The last amazing beat-em-up I played was River City Ransom: Underground, and this game is going right up there with it. 20/10 : If you're a fan of arcade beat-em-ups, you NEED to add this to your collect.

Great retro game with modern graphics and voices

4 player couch coop and Online Multiplayer for only 2 players is a HUGE oversight but other than that its fun

This is a really good beat-em-up and sequel to SoR games. Everything from the improved combat, tweaked mechanics and very big roster that you can unlock. I am 17h deep and still finding out new stuff about the combos, moves and differences between character combat. It has really good difficulty options, so you can enjoy it even if you are starting out with this type of game. Graphics are pretty good and the music is up there with SoR 2 or 3, which is the usual let down on these types of remakes/sequels of old classics (looking at you Dragon's Trap). Better yet, this is very well optimized and I managed to play this on a basic N3350. It has some slowdowns on certain sections but otherwise almost 60fps at 70% resolution - which is 720p-ish and looks good with this art style. That is well below minimum specs and people on any desktop iGPU of the last 5y will be able to play this very well.

As of the last few days the game freezes about 60 seconds into any mission on steam deck. Even in the main menu, there is no music and i have already uninstalled and reinstalled.

Good scrolling beat em up. Great survival mode and Normal mode.

The combat is clunky. I couldn't enjoy even a single level

Cons: - Character design super ugly and smell DEI so hard which I very hate, its art style very disgusting, make me vomit when see twin black bosses gritted teeth with ugly thick lips, show arrogant when spaming AoE attack, somes fucking fatty ugly racing girls with helmet also disgusting - Some of them have stupid ultimate like female cop send missle that can hit allied, some characters have stupid close range which require you approach enemies and give them some free hit - Enemies balance very bad, some enemies have armor that you can't counter them, and they just hit you easily and you can't dodge or evade, some enemies have bad hit-box that even I can hit my allied but can't hit them - Bullshit skills that always require your HP to cast, and only 2 life for 1 map ==> you can't just spam normal attacks all times and you need character skill to take advantage but you will dead after spamming that skills - Some characters have sprint, some haven't and even slow movement while enemies run around and back stab you - Enemies even read your input, so it can snow-ball you, make you look so stupid - Even normal difficult but boss have 3 phases in a row, each phrase have bullshit AoE/armor/high-damage moveset that can rekt you easily and I can't win the last phase - The first unlockable 8-bit character is super ultra stupid while he even don't have skill, only normal attack and ultimate, of course he can't have a chance to fight boss Pros: - It allow attack allies, so I have fun time with my nephew cause accident kill in this game - Every characters have unique moveset, simple input and easy to play Can't refund so this is all

This game is classic beat'em up perfection

this game made me want to destroy my local pheasant population

Recommended? Yes. Just don't throw the pipe while you're playing with your girlfriend.
