Beautiful. When you manage to get in the flow, it really is like nothing else. The sound design is superb.

Wow, it is hard to describe the beauty of this game! It looks like it does not have a ton going on - and in a way, it doesn't. But once you get into it, it's (in its very own odd way) opening space for you to explore its playful physics and feel like like a very young kid exploring a new world. The sound and music are adding a lot to the experience. Also, there is a cryptic yet beautifully told story!

Looks and sounds great, plays like a bowling ball slathered in honey and thrown like a Frisbee. You are supposed to dive/roll down to gather speed and then take a ramp to glide for a while. On the way, there are upgrades to gather and a few boosts. In the first few levels, that works fine. There is enough space to maneuver and after losing too much speed it is easy to get back up. Later levels begin to feel more and more like a slog. You need to get some speed between plants and tight canyons and very little flying. Then you need to jump from asteroid to asteroid, very often getting "stuck" by not having enough escape velocity. And finally, the game takes away your flight form and most of the steering. After bouncing on the uneven ground around, I find myself again and again in the same crater. Speeding up downwards takes me away from the target, there is really no good way to correct my heading and I get cramps from gripping the controller. This isn't fun and the backround story isn't interesting enough to endure this torture longer. Good Art, bad Game.

I expected a calm and relaxing game where i just fly and roll through pretty landscapes. Instead, I got a gameplay mechanic that is extremely aggravating, that can break at any point, leaving stuck in a ditch with no speed. I had to force myself to finish and at no point did I truly enjoy the experience.

Absolutely immaculate vibes. I played through the whole thing (most of the challenge achievements notwithstanding) in one sitting. Controls and movement mechanics are pretty odd, but they're reasonable intuitive if you're actually paying attention. From a technical standpoint, the graphics aren't anything special (they're even a bit dated in places), but the way they're put together is just beautiful. My only real gripe is that a couple of the levels just didn't have much room to build up speed or altitude, making them a bit of a slog (though I recognize that this is at least partially a skill issue on my part).
