Dreams in the Witch House is ... THE MOST LOYAL LOVECRAFT GAME EVER.
One of the best Lovecraft games I have ever played, VERY LOYAL TO THE REAL STORY This game has so many interesting mechanics! For example : You have to study for an exam (with a deadline IN-GAME) and you can either study for it, not study for it, study the occult instead, procrastinate, study something else and this of course determines the outcome of the story!

Choices, chocies, CHOICES!!! What you do actually affects the game, it really does!
The world setting is 100% achieved, very loyal to the Lovecraft story
A lot of Easter eggs referring to other famous books and books that Lovecraft liked or references from other Lovecraft stories!
The dev of the game really did his Lovecraft homework and it shows!
Extremely immersive once you grasp the core mechanics
Endings, endings, endings, ENDINGS! (Yeees, different endings)
Cloud saving
I played through it all on my deck! Zero problems!
TLDR: TEN (10) OUT OF TEN(10) , GET THIS GAAAAME IF YOU ENJOY LOVECRAFT!!!

Absolutely fantastic game that's pretty much a perfect adaptation: it takes the original, fleshes it out, respects the hell out of it and is just a really engaging RPG point and click, which is a rare combo. Multiple endings make it very replayable, the soundtrack is fantastic, and discounting a couple pixel-hunting ones, so are the puzzles. Strongly recommended.

I actually felt anxiety over if I would get to the library counter to check out a book in time. Automatic 10/10 sensation for a Lovecraft story. I have read or listened to audiobooks of everything in Lovecraft's fiction as well as the in-universe writings of his relevant contemporaries and the major contributors who came later. This is a well-done game and obviously a passion project. I would honestly say it's worth the buy at full price, but this is a no-brainer for any *actual* Lovecraft fan in your life if you see it come up on sale. A first-run playthrough took me about 8 hours, with a 2 hour stumbling period where I learned the mechanics and then restarted. Honestly, I wish I had kept playing the bad save after finishing. Lovecraft stories having a happy ending across the board feels weird and I wonder just how doomed that initial world would have been. This brings me to my only real complaint. You only get one set of save files unless you restart the game. This complicates having concurrent runs, meaning I couldn't go back to that doomed world. It's not a major issue and I can see the merit to not having that as an option, but it felt important to state my only minor criticism. Have you read at least the core Lovecraft stories and did you enjoy them? Highly recommend Are you someone who thinks Cthulhu is cute/funny/scary but hasn't really dipped your toes into the rest of Lovecraft's writing? Still a great game, but don't go in expecting everyone's favorite sleepy squidboi

I'm a long time fan of Lovecrafts works. This game is without any doubt the best Lovecraft game i have ever played. It knows exactly that this genre is all about atmosphere. The difficulty has a perfect balance and even a good amount of replayability. Cannot recommend enough.

This game scratches my pixel art fetish. Thanks for keeping the point and click genre alive!

This is one of the best adaptations of a Lovecraft theme into a computer game.

Very surprising "little" game. I thought I'm going into a rather classic point n click, and here we are, with resource and complex time management - color me impressed! I enjoy the story, the mood and the library / archives mechanics. This game is nerdy and immersive and not simple at all! LOVE IT.
