Shadows Over Loathing

This is arguably one of the best game i have ever played, it manages to be funny yet still maintains some spooky elements that the genre requires and the soundtrack has some awesome beats, with game mechanics i would recommend to all players of all skill levels.

Just as fun and wacky as the first!! In fact, this is my favourite of the two because there's so much more to do and see. A really entertaining game where I insist I won't play for long and easily sink hours into without realising! Highlights include: - Time Travel - [spoiler] A mildly frustrating time loop [/spoiler] - A Twilight Zone reference as a location - [spoiler] Seeing some familiar faces from West of Loathing like Janet and Rufus [/spoiler] - Don T's quests - Companion vignettes - Spookier vibes

The game is good as waste of loathing but Im so fucking sick of the game glitching and crashing

Possibly one of the funniest games I've ever seen. You can tell the devs put their hearts and souls into this one.

Fantastic, very well written, I enjoyed it much more than West of Loathing, and I really liked West of Loathing. The ridiculous wordplay and insane dialogue reminded me of Disco Elysium and Echo Bizarre.

An excellent sequel to West of Loathing, this game is hilarious, gripping, and has such intense world building that it feels like a real place. Even if you've never played Kingdom of Loathing or West of Loathing, give this a try- you'll be glad you did!

I can't *not* recommend this game, but its not nearly as good as West of Loathing. Everything to me felt like it had less production time, the jokes are less cleverly written, the combat is a less interesting, the areas are sparser, etc. Maybe its because this game is much larger, but it just feels like it has less to do in each area and I got bored easily. It changes a lot of things, in a refreshing way, but I still prefer the older systems. I wouldn't blame anyone for not getting past the first 2 hours as they're intensely uninteresting. Overall, not bad, but I would only buy this one if you want more like West Of Loathing.

Classic Loathing game with a lovely Lovecraft vibe. Quirky humour, chill gameplay, good hats.

This game is super fun if you enjoyed West of Loathing and/or like humorous turn-based combat. The format of this one for stats and progression were a little hard to get used to after playing so much of West of Loathing, but I got sucked in all the same. The game is 3-4 times longer than West of Loathing, so worth the additional cost, and is a fun and fresh world to explore.

A delightful blend of puns, references, humor and a touch of horror.

Funny (very, very funny), simple but compelling gameplay, can't recommend enough/ 10/10
