Inertial Drift

I was looking for a chill arcade racer to take my mind off the serious stuff and found this gem. All what I was looking was here: quick loading (I don't want to wait 5 minutes and scroll through a ton of menus when I want to jump to a quick session), accessible gameplay (I'm not a hardcore simulator racing dude), and relaxing atmosphere. I found all this and surprisingly more: the innovating twin-stick steer/drift mechanic is fun and interesting, easy to grasp at first and with pretty high skill ceiling, a very satisfying to learn and finally get that nasty double curve bend perfectly while drifting at a funny angle. The games more are pretty varied and game has a ton of content in a form of campaign, various modes, split screen racing, ton of tracks. Also the stylized aesthetic of the game is very nice and works great for this type of game. The only complaint I have, is the soundtrack is entirely forgettable, but it is easy to remedy (as I did) by just putting a funky 80s radio of your favorite streaming service and turning off in-game music entirely.

[i]Arcade Style Drift Racing[/i] Inertial Drift is a great arcade style drift racing game. Its graphical style and theming have a bit of 80's/Retro coloring flare which I thought was great. It adds a little spice by having driver focused story modes to show you through the game. The cars have very different driving dynamics and each require a alternate technique to succeed with. Unfortunately, a few cars are borderline uncontrollable which when encountered will likely stonewall the progress of many casual players. Other features include built-in leaderboards for arcade mode if you want to go for a high score challenge. Similarly, some of the goals with the more advanced cars on “Xtra Crispy” (Hard Mode) and in the grand prix are very challenging and you will really have to practice to achieve them. Overall, there is something for just about every type of driving game player here. Recommended.

Drifting is so much fun and it has a unique mechanic to it. A fun vibe and art style to pair with it.

O jogo é bom! A mecânica do drift é bem divertida e eu particularmente adorei os gráficos, casou muito bem com o estilo arcade. Porém, não tem muito mais além disso... o que faz com que fique um tanto enjoativo. Gostei da campanha, mas não fiquei animada para terminar com todos os personagens! Mesmo assim, vale a pena. Principalmente se você for fã de jogos de corrida ou aparecer uma promoção muito boa.

If you don't like arcade racers, this is an easy pass. if you love arcade racers though, this is a must have.
