Persona® 5 Strikers

Loved Persona 5 Royal, was excited to try Strikers however this port is woeful. You need to use 3rd party applications like Project Lasso to get this game to run correctly or faff around with Task Manager every time you start the game and set it to high priority and fiddle with your CPU core affinity. Doing which can also cause the game to crash. If you don't do these things though then the game performance goes up and down constantly like Sophia's yo-yo's. If you have an Nvidia GPU you can turn on Smooth motion from the Nvidia App and that negates having to do above and also lets the game run at 120fps and you don't run into the crashes from playing around with core affinity or priority. Doesn't work on Steam Deck either. Buy the console version if you really want to play it hassle free.

Even more linear, very little to do outside of dungeons, and generally kind of boring.

A decent sequel that continues the journey of a group of minor widely known as the phantom thieves of hearts that blends turn-based elements in atlus games and hack and slash aspects of koei's dynasty warriors. If u loved persona 5 ( royal )'s social sim i would not recommend this as strikers introduces bond system - replacement of social sim in the prior entries of p5 series. Overall a decent hack and slash combines turn based elements and amazing music as always. 8/10

An interesting approach to combat given that the Persona franchise has almost always been turn based. It makes the game feel just like the original Persona 5 in the case of learning new techniques. I've been enjoying the game so far, but I do have some issues with the game. My main complaint is the frustration of playing the game on keyboard AND mouse. Most modern games are played with keyboard and mouse, and having the focused playstyle on JUST the keyboard makes trying to use keyboard and mouse together an absolute nightmare, mainly because you need to completely rebind some actions. That's why I have been playing on a controller. But other than that MASSIVE issue, it's a good game. Would recommend. Play Persona 5 first though. Plenty of stuff won't make sense without backround knowledge.

Played this on ps5 a while back. Great game. It's not as great as the original persona 5, but I enjoyed the storyline and being able to spend time with the persona 5 characters. It plays more action than turn base rpg which is fine to me as well since I have played the original dynasty warrior games too.

Dude, it keep crashing after I played it for 10 mins. This is unplayable. I really want to play this but this is unplayable I'm playing on Predator Helios Neo 16. Sure music is great gameplay is mid Persona game still my favorite but it's UNPLAYABLE.

Spoilers for both Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers: Being a massive Persona 5 Royal fan I was really looking to play this, after beating P5R i was really craving more content. I really did not wanna say goodbye just yet. I thought to give P5S a shot despite not having played many hack n slash games before because I really couldn't get enough of the characters. They're all so loveable. While the game builds up from the main vanilla P5 story, it doesn't include any of the Persona 5 royal content/third semester. Which is a shame but it still feels like a direct continuation of the story. P5S story is really cool and all the locations are unique, the soundtrack is just as good with a couple twists compared to P5. The new characters are all so unique and feel like they'd fit in the original P5. I love them all. Especially [spoiler] Zenkichi and Sophia [/spoiler]. While some of the story felt a bit similar to P5, especially the ending sequence I still thought it was really good. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who's played P5/P5R and wants a continuation of the story.

Good addition to the p5 story, fun game-play but ng+ lacks re-playability as it gets repetitive. Wouldn't really bother playing unless your a persona fan and want more persona content and don't mind to much about doing the same shit over and over. otherwise great game.

Good game taking place after the events of the base Persona 5 game. Even though it's a different genre, it plays well. It's not as big as Persona 5 Royal though, so I personally would suggest waiting for a sale. There's not a lot of character development outside of a few new characters, since the main cast is pretty well established by this point. Still a fun game though.

it's an alright sequel, can't cuck the cat anymore since romances were removed (unfortunately) the stuttering was annoying but I didn't find it unplayable

Went in not expecting neither story nor combat to hold up to the level of the original game, but the story didn't disappoint and it was enjoyable for the most part, although predictable a lot of the time as well. Combat is fine, it's fun sometimes but also very easy even if you play at higher difficulties, you can spam spells to exploit bosses weakness non-stop and just use SP Items which are plenty in the game, making any boss a joke, there is no sense of urgency or scarcity that the original game had at all, and the quality of the combat itself is worse as well. For these reasons i would say the game is definitely worth it if you're a Persona 5 Fan and want more content, you'll have a great time with the story. If you're just a musou fan looking for a new game there's probably better ones.

If you love p5 or p5r and want to see more of the phantom thieves then this game is a must-play, but wait for a sale. The controls on mouse & keyboard are absolute garbage. I had to spend 30 minutes near the beginning of my playthrough just to fix things up. I didn't encounter much bugs. There was a reoccurring problem where the game would randomly deny or not register keyboard input. I had to keep tabbing in and out to fix the problem. Absolutely unacceptable for an $80 dollar sequel that follows such a good game. But If you can look past that I think you can have a very fun time with this game. The combat was kind of whatever. It's just mindless button mashing/clicking. Enemy type weaknesses unfortunately dominate as the most effective way to kill enemies. But there's a fair amount of depth to the combat but half the time you can never process what is going on in battle. But you can interact with the environments sometimes to take down enemies which was really cool. Stuff like riding a skateboard to plow down enemies or blowing up explosives. Just play on an easier difficulty. The story is definitely not on par with p5 or p5r but it was still pretty good, with a decent amount of standout moments. It takes some time for the story to really come together, and the latter half of the game gets a lot more interesting. Especially towards the end. The story still carries a lot of emotional stuff and strong messages like p5/p5r. You also get a lot of fun moments with the phantom thieves. The new characters are great. Voice acting still awesome. Music still goes incredibly hard. Visually it's still as good. 3D animated cutscenes actually look a fair amount better than p5/p5r. If you love p5/p5r, and can look past a lot of rough edges with this game: Get this on sale and enjoy. It's a very fun time still.

it's a game I quite enjoyed on console. Excited to play it on pc but WOW the game does not run well at ALL! if you want to play this game. Get it on console avoid the PC port at all costs

A delightful follow-up to the brilliant Persona 5. The music is great, I really love all the slice of life moments with the cast, and new characters Sophia & Zenkichi are really fun additions. The warriors style gameplay is really fun at first, but can feel a little dull at times over the course of the whole adventure. The overall story is significantly weaker than Persona 5, but at no point would I ever call it bad. I think there's a bit of thematic overlap with Persona 5 Royal's third semester, which hurts the overall experience because, well, Royal's third semester did it far better. Also, the complete lack of any reference to Royal's third semester is unfortunate, even just one scene with or at least referencing Kasumi would've gone a long way. It was a fun game, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you really loved the original Persona 5 (like I do).

3/10 Pro: Characters, the good-old Persona 5 world, music (some new, some old, but equally good). Also, I didn't have any performance issues as described by others. Neutral: Story. It's basically the same story as before Contra: The new real-time fight system. It's just your avarage dumb button smashing hack&slash. They've added a Persona taste to it, but most of the time, you'll just hit X mindlessly and run around in circles. Eternights did this FAR better than Persona5 Strikers. The 3D world. I've just felt lost most of the time. I'm not sure if it's level design or bad camera, but it was kinda irritating. Also, there was too much visual novellish sequence for my taste (at least at the beginning of the game)

The Yonkler is so cool, he's just like me frfr. I wish sometimes that I was the Toker, so I could stand up to my dad and make him stop doing what he does to make mom do those weird noises late at night. I love John Persona so much.
