STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town

not worth the time, maybe their new game grand bazaar is better or guardians of azuma because this one is fun initially but i got to end game by end of spring year 1. the difficulty felt natural and content was good but once you hit the end game it becomes so freaking boring and you start to see the problems. the end game's difficulty just spikes up in a weird way and there is no incentive to continue like wanting to customize or beat the mini games or have an efficient farm or breed flowers or breed animals for different outcomes because well there isn't much! i also HATE the land layout!! i couldn't decorate either! i can't place floor if i need to use a maker but a tree can grow between the makers??? why does the character collide with everything?? movement sucks. the dlc is trash, trust. the game has duplicated and redundant mechanics, like why do the animals have personalities but that has 0 effect on the gameplay? and whyyyyyyy do i have to choose where to place the museum stuff!? it also makes a lot of the mistakes that other farming games did. i feel like part of the team behind this didnt play the game, they just copy pasted their work for harvest moon from ps2 and didn't think further while the other part of the team tried to innovate but with a mobile game in their mind, it is so bizarre...

No steam deck support even for a game that supposed to be playable on steam deck. I have a switch version for this one and i see no reason for this game on steam to not have steam deck support. Its been years since i bought this together with all the DLCs and those DLCs still don't appear in the steam deck version when i play. Very disappointed. Will change this review when there is steam deck support for this game.
