Some people have complained the puzzles are simple and, sure, this isn't the most difficult puzzle game. But it's so dripping with style, with an amazing story and beautiful music. It's a great time, and I can't not recommend it to everyone. Definitely worth your time and money.

Not the worst game in the world by any stretch of the imagination, but... The game has way too many issues to be "good". Upon first glance (rather, within the first 10 minutes of launching it), the game portrays itself as a detective/mystery type of game, with the first tutorial-murder that you have to solve hinting at a grand scheme that is waiting to be unraveled. Unfortunately, this idea seems to have been forgotten sometime during development, as the terrible ending inevitably reveals. The end twist is painfully predictable, but the biggest issue is that it makes you realize that none of the murders you have solved to that point have any impact on the game. The ending is a cop-out and instead of revealing the aforementioned scheme, the game goes "Oh, actually it's all in your head - stop feeling so guilty about the past!" The puzzles are ridiculously simple and, despite the player being given the illusion of a relatively open environment to explore, the game prevents you from going on to a new area until a murder is solved (usually with game-ified mechanics of "here's your new toy that can open those locked doors from before!"). There are several murders you could solve - and for your sanity's sake, you probably should solve - before even figuring out the cause of death or what the intended solution path is. They are way too easy, and the most difficult part is wasting time in the cycle in order to get certain items to solve them. Oh, and if you care about getting 100% on this game, you better hope you didn't miss any one of the 52 collectible cards, because there is no way to tell which cards you have or do not have within the game (and instead, you have to view your save file and manually tally up which ones you have collected). Terrible mechanic and a very lazy oversight. What makes this game so frustrating is that the concept is very interesting and has so much potential to be an incredible game, but somewhere in the development process, the game lost its way. The plot is stupid, the puzzles are simple, and the runtime is too short. It constantly feels like you are on the edge of the game revealing some huge secret and that you are going to have to go save everyone in one go, but nope...the game just grabs your hand and walks you through the boring ending and leaves you going "That's it?" 4/10

Spoilers For Ending: I enjoyed my time through this game. But, I think that was because I saw almost the whole game as a setup to the perfect day. Where I would have to figure out the best route to save everyone before their tragic deaths in a single loop. Only for that to be literally impossible. You never gain the freedom to do that. Even if you try on your own while refusing to go grab the endings. The game will stop you and reset your day the second you save a single person while basically saying "Dumbass Don't Save Others! You already saved that person some previous loop." And it made me feel trapped. When it happened before I had saved everyone a single time I understood like maybe the game wants you to save everyone once before attempting the perfect loop. It still had the story but, having a bunch of alternates go and do what I've already done didn't make the ending feel earned or rewarding.

Fun game, but there’s one pretty glaring flaw for a time loop game. Theres no freedom. You’re always doing things in a linear order, with steps you have to take to accomplish your goal. You don’t even get to explore the entire mansion until you’ve basically beaten the game. I enjoyed my time with it regardless, but it is pretty disappointing.

To begin, this is a fairly short game. I fully completed it in just six hours, and that was practically without guides. At the same time there is a bit of... awkwardness with the movement, but it does contain a surprisingly large amount of character which makes it an overall fun time. The puzzles get more complicated as the game goes on, but keeps at a fairly streamlined level. The soundtrack is nice to listen to, and even includes some vocals here and there. If there was any true failings in this game, I would have to say that the ending is a bit... unsatisfactory, it's not bad, just different. If the game was longer it'd be worth the full price, but I'd suggest holding off on purchasing it unless it's 15 dollars or lower.

I came back to play this game after having beat it years ago, I remember at the time I was so in love with everything about it and was so pleased to find that feeling hadn't changed. The music, the art direction, the characters... everything here is so much fun and yet also so tragic. I love a good murder mystery and this one, where you already know the outcome? Amazing. Love it and love the time mechanics. I cannot get enough.

Truly a wonderful game! It took me 12 hours to 100% the game, but i enjoyed every second of it. The music fits perfect, the story is beautiful, hte mechanics work, the puzzles are good.

Absolute Cinema. Very touching, it actually got me to hit the "scorecese absolute cinema" pose upon seeing the ending. The French translation is a bit bugged, it is very rare and only happened twice (it may be possible the english and other languages have similar bugs in the text too but idk for sure) , so it did not really disturb the experience. 9/10 Would play it for 40 years straight.

Great game. The story and mechanics work together masterfully. If you think you might try for all the collectibles, do yourself a favor and track what you find right from the beginning. The game doesn't have a great way of indicating what you've missed.

Murder-mystery game with an interesting time-loop mechanic reminiscent of Outer Wilds. Got it on sale, and it's got a lot of game for just a few dollars. Love the music, characters, and their interactions. Not a particularly long game, but still multiple endings to be found. The main ending is great -- without spoiling too much, I really liked the questions it raises around self-blame. Definitely grab it on sale

This game is just another typical "Rewind time to find the solution" type story, but I really enjoyed the way it went about it and the whole spying element as well. For the most part I loved the story, except for the very ending, I feel as though they could have done something much more impactful overall, but that isn't to say it's bad. The puzzles were kind of easy as well, the game kind of walks you through all of them if you're spying on the guests like you're supposed to, so that is one thing I wish was a little better, I would've loved some more complex puzzles. I did love seeing the relationships between the guests as well, plus the atmosphere and music for the game were both beautifully done. Overall, it was a pretty solid game. I don't regret buying or playing it, but I also don't think it's the best game I've ever played. I'd suggest it if you're looking for a unique puzzle game.

It certainly is stylish. The characters are colourful and have cute animated eye holes in their masks - even if one has to squint to spot them. However, the puzzles are extremely simple and require no creativity whatsoever. Only once it is necessary to fetch an item based on a given hint - and even that is for an entirely optional collectible and its related achievement. There are few items to pick up, and all of them are used in puzzles, which is probably for the best because experimentation with "red herrings" would quickly become tedious due to the time loop resetting inventory. Very few objects of scenery can be interacted with by using items on them - the prompt is always present for those that can, even when not in possession of the necessary item. I wasted time trying to put out a fire by pouring water on a burning corpse in an attempt to retrieve a collectible, only to realise the corpse is not even meant to have items used on it because the prompt would not show - no matter the item in hand. Puzzles are confined to their respective sections of the mansion to keep everything manageable. Basically, don't overthink it; check out every interactive spot, follow everyone, eavesdrop whenever someone is talking, set spawn points at clocks closest to points of interest to beat everyone to them - and solutions will present themselves. Also, don't worry too much about the characters' masks chasing the protagonist if they find themselves in the same room; even if it looks and sounds ominous, and disables item interactions in that room, it does not affect doors, so it is possible to run through almost literally hassle-free. The ending felt underwhelming, but there probably aren't many ways to write a conclusion for such a story whilst keeping things grounded in reality. In addition to an achievement, acquiring all lost playing card collectibles unlocks a secret ending scene and lore entries, which are mostly fine but have a couple of typos in them. There is a second type of collectible - the invitations - which also has a related achievement but no in-game bonus, it seems. Searching for collectibles is actually more engaging than the story puzzles, but ultimately also pretty trivial, even if a bit random at times.

First half was so surprisingly easy I did them before i even saw how the guests died, 2nd half was "harder" in the sense it was very annoying and repetitive, even when I had figured stuff out ud have to redo the whole day cuz u missed that millisecond opportunity for a cutscene to play right. There's no real threat bcs even though youre not supposed to be seen and such the masks that follow u are so slow u can literally just walk room to room with no consequences. The spawnpoints and the skip ahead time jumps were done so poorly i ended up barely using them cuz ud just miss important stuff so i ended up waiting stuff out which eventually got so boring. Interesting story and visuals and music, but the very obvious grammar errors on the extra content and the numerous bugs kinda took me out of it and i ended up not caring that much. The story was interesting, but by the end point I was just trying to get it over with. All in all, disappointed as I'd been eyeing this game for years and glad i got this for 4 bucks only
