The best single player Yu-Gi-Oh game for me. You can play all the matches that you've seen in the anime with either a costumized deck or a story deck. Before each match you see a short dialogue between the characters reminiscent of the anime. With 10.000 cards and 300 cpu matches it offers a lot of variety. Graphically thou it's not a great product. The image resolution of the cards is abysmal and the few animations of key creatures are cheap. Instead of just grind achievements, the devs could have put actually achievements like pulling off hard special summons. In the end it's a really fun card game and worth it when it's on sale.

Sure, you wouldn't get decent online matches here even if the game weren't dead. You also won’t get the same level of quality as the PSP or even the DS games. What this game does excel at, though, is teaching the basic mechanics of every Yugioh era—and it does so in a very entertaining way. I highly recommend pushing through the story decks, however frustrating that can be at times. It really highlights the uniqueness of the card game as a whole and shows why people still play it, even if the competitive meta isn’t the best. I’d recommend picking this up on sale to anyone interested in Yugioh but who is hesitant because of the rules—especially older players who don’t know anything past Fusion.

it's nostalgia bait but i prefer this instead of master duel because i didn't feel tempted to spend money on card packs. granted, that's literally the whole point of a trading card game but i prefer a one and done deal. i'm only going to play the campaign mode for yugioh duel monsters and yugioh gx. It doesn't have every duel which i shouldn't expect. It's kinda samey now while playing yugioh gx but i think it's because i'm not very good at this and don't want to be. this is a closer to a mixed yes than an enthusiastic yes

A great game for the fans of the original series. It follows the anime story duel by duel like few others. A few misses in the rules department, though. For example, in the first turn, the player should draw another card instead of playing right away, field cards should only be allowed one at a time too. Don't know if I missed something, because I'm an old school player, but I don't like those two extra spots in the middle when you fusion summon. Still, great fun and great game.

This is roughly the equivalent of buying all pre-2020 Yugioh cards along with a very stupid opponent to constantly dunk on. I had a lot of fun with it. The nostalgia is great, and as long as you don't desire a challenge, this is a great little Yugioh sim.

compared to ANY other modern Yugioh game it is clunky with mediocre gaphics. They also make not-true-to-story "story" decks. I'd even say the DS game from the 2000s wsas better. will be trying to get my money back after several hours of trying to enjoy it

Solid enough game for anime fans up until VRAINS, but the animations are way too slow and the card sets are not even remotely close to something like TCG sets (feels like something from the clearance isle over an actual card set).

Decent game client for playing Duel Monsters against CPU controlled anime theme avatars. Very clunky compared to modern Master Duel, but works okay otherwise. Story is the anime, told through very basic plot summaries of the YuGiOh anime generations, but it's nice if you want to review what happened in each series. Decent cardpool, not up to date for modern TCG / Master Duel (there is Blue Eyes Chaos Max Dragon (2016 from Dark Side of Dimensions), but no Blue Eyes Jet Dragon (2022)), but there's a decent amount of cards to choose from. (For starting, if you want to make a Blue Eyes Deck, aside from unlocking the Kaiba pack by advancing through generation 1 anime duels, you need to deliberately loose to Kaiba a few times so the game will give you copies of the original Blue Eyes White Dragon as consolation.) However, the primary way to get cards is through the in game points redeem system and card packs. No in-game codes, but also no microtransactions, which I approve of (compared to Master Duel's greedy gem systems that prices default bundles absurdly to make the discount sales seem reasonable in comparison). You can use game hacks for infinite points and faster animations for dueling and pack opening, which helps a bit. Against the AI, you can you three copies of any card, even banned cards like Pot of Greed, which can be fun.

Still enjoy playing this game from time to time. Its an unupdated game, so do note that most of the recent cards wont be here. But if your looking to just satisfy the craving to play classic yugioh, this thing will do. Aside from that, this probably the best PvE yugioh game to PC yet.

Nothing fancy just straight up deck-building and duelling your way through the entire story arc. Perfect for casual fans who don't want online grinding.
