Broken Age

its an ok game. graphics are ok. voice acting is really good but thats to be expected with this cast. puzzles are well balanced for the most part in the first half. the second half of this game is the most frustrating and tedious puzzle game ive played in awhile. i do recommend it but only on a deep sale.

this is so bloody charming. did i get stuck on a puzzle and never finish it? yes! but i watched stampy's letsplay as a kid so the nostalgia wins out!

I waited a solid ten years before buying this game, finally deciding to get it during a summer sale. I don't regret the buy at all. Both Shay’s and Vella’s stories are well-written and intertwine and connect in unexpected ways. The plot twists are interesting and unforeseen, the gameplay is definitely a plus, the dialogues are engaging and funny, and the characters are unique and delightfully caricatured. The hand-drawn graphics are absolutely gorgeous, full of charm in both style and animation. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys creative and unconventional point-and-click games.

Overall it was a vary good game however some of the later puzzles were vague at times.

The amount of passion put in this game is boundless from the beautiful score, hand drawn sprites, and sound effects that tickle the tism just right. This game is worth every penny with world building that helps you understand but also makes you wonder, characters that are relatable yet unique, and little robots that are very cute. Despite only being a few hours for a playthrough this game gets you so invested that you keep playing again and again for each achievement and each little detail. this game also revived the people's love for adventure games back in the early 2010s garnering millions on kickstarter while only expecting a few thousand for this game. another thing to love about broken age is i can't remember a single moment where two objects went together without logic, unlike other point and click games

The first act of the game is fantastic! Loads of recognizable voice actors, super charming visuals and characters. However, the second and third acts are tedious, frustrating, and often require a walkthrough just to understand. The switching gimmick can get overwhelming during those acts, and it's frustrating for the solution to one problem to be on the other story, when it doesn't make a lot of sense for the character to know the answer besides guesswork. That sort of thing only occurs in the 2nd and 3rd acts, making the need to switch perspectives to find solutions feel confusing. But otherwise, this game holds a special place in my heart and is loads of fun.

My wife and I really enjoyed this game. Took us 12 hours to beat it. I recommend!
