[h1] This Game Is Okay.[/h1] When I first saw this, I was really impressed. I saw the art style, I saw the humour (my god it's fun) and the core concept seems really fun! Kind of like slay the spire mixed with my sense of humour. What could possible go wrong! However, after the first few hours, I couldn't find myself picking up the game again. It's a tad boring. Whenever you start a run, if you don't have a good opening such as a bad starting hand or mid relics, tough luck. Try again. After doing 3 runs in which you die on the second or third fight, you stop playing the game because you feel like you have a lack of control. I like the concepts of the cards but the effects are rather lacklustre and the downsides are so penalising that you have to donate a leg, two left ears and a box of kid-knees to deal enough damage to knock out a single slime in a hoard of 20. This is most likely because I have a skill issue and "I just need to play the game more" but still... half the time it feels like a slot machine. A really funny slot machine but a slot machine none the less. The humour/storytelling would have been nice if it was a full on plot, but because it's a rogue-lite, it is a trek to get through to the next beat. I truly love the concept, I really do, but I wish it was executed better. All the support for future games or updates :)

Rungore is a chaotic, fast-paced roguelike deckbuilder that blends real-time card battles with idle combat, heavily inspired by Slay the Spire and Loop Hero. Its quirky charm shines through a psychotic narrator, Clippy, and meme-filled humor, paired with bold pixel art. With 15 unique heroes, each with distinct card decks, and randomized runs, it offers plenty of variety. However, slow progression and occasional reliance on luck can frustrate. Still, for $15, it’s a wild, fun ride for fans of the genre, with a strong early access foundation.

I find it boring. After 2 runs, I got tired of choosing cards so many times for so little effect.
