im playing rn and just had to say shevas ai is gonna make me kill myself for the amount of times shes gotten me killed in the game im not even kidding but fire game

A great co-op experience especially if you're playing it with a friend and both of you are experiencing it for the first time, figuring out the fights as you play together adds to the fun. It feels like a must-play RE game since pretty much all the older games been building up to this one and it's a great action horror!

doesn't need a remake, this still holds up but with the way capcom is going with their remakes im sure that they will and i will play it and enjoy it

required a friend to get a better experience. i'm serious, this game is fun in a stupid way.

resident evil 5 is basically just like the fourth game with a even more stupider story, some of the most repetitive and stupidly designed bosses in any game i played, especially that one in 5-2. and any time a new event, group of enemies or puzzle is revealed, there always has to be a stupid 5 second cut-scene showing me that something changed. despite all of that, this game is honestly one of the best co-op games I've ever played which i think was mostly intentional.

Played this with a friend, had a great time. Played with an AI, had a pretty good time. If you loved RE4, you'll definitely enjoy this game. It's essentially a more arcade style, linear version of RE4. Much of the positives of that game carry over as a result. Just don't bother with New Game Professional. It's rage inducing difficulty spike where everything one-shots you.

it's ok, pretty much just the original re4 but with chris, it's not that fun ill be honest but it's decent

Absolutely amazing co-op play. One of my favorite resident evil titles. I played it when I originally came out and got it on Steam for nostalgia, and for when I find someone who wants to play it. I know I'll have it and it'll be a great time. I love the gun play, but there is nothing more satisfying than beating the brakes off of zombies with your bare hands.

Resident Evil 5 gives me a very fresh and unique experience. Unlike the previous main games, RE 5 brings a Co-op system that allows me to experience the game with my friend and other random players. That's fun and amazing. The moment my friend and I defeated Wesker was so satisfying. Also, the atmosphere, gameplay and graphics are still great to this day. RE 5 is a game worth trying if you have friends to play with or need some stress-relieving moments.

I've clocked in on this game at least over 300+ hours on XBox 360. Ended up unlocking everything and beat every difficulty with an S Rank (was not easy at all on Professional Mode, I remember you turret section!). I have this game on multiple systems, too. Made some great friendships through this game when playing online co-op. Absolutely love this game and still stands up well today, even if the controls are pretty archaic now. Though I admit it definitely feels easier to play compared to OG RE4 controls. Well worth the playthrough if you enjoy the franchise, plus you can't beat the stellar price for it honestly.

fun game , especially in co-op hope it gets a remake , not because it's dated , but I want more co-op campaign shooters

Think this game is slightly under-rated. I do prefer the horror survival style of resident evil with the first game being my favorite by far, however, this game was still fun to play. I have played it both solo and co-op and enjoyed both, though in solo the A.I is awful, and it's one of the issues I have with the game. Playing co-op however is very fun. I do like the story, but I am not a fan of the action scenes in some of the cutscenes, it's more like an action movie. For a game that come out in 09 it holds up quite well I'd say. I did get a mod to change the filter so it wasn't that brownish green colour, so I would advise people to do the same if they want to play it. But overall it's a really fun game to play, there is also an incentive to playthrough multiple times, just like most resident evil games.

Great game, but where are all the zombies ? Haven't seen a single one in the whole game.

- I REALLY RECOMMEND I loved playing this game. I dont know why some people hate it, but i like it, almost like OG Resident evil 4. I really enjoyed getting all of the achievements, except the versus ones. You basically cant get them now, because no one is playing versus, unfortunately you will have to use a trainer for the achivements. But overall i really enjoyed my experience playing this game.

Honestly, out of all of the RE games that I've played (I've only beaten RE 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) this is the first one that I actually dislike. Take everything about RE4 that I disliked and somehow make it SO MUCH WORSE AND SO MUCH MORE ANNOYING. The story is honestly underwhelming, which really sucks to say because I actually really like Chris and Sheva. Overall a pretty buns game.

RE5 a 15 year old game, still playable and still an awesome game! But buggy boss fights, had to look up guides for few boss fights.. loved the main campaign 10/10

This is one of the games of all time. I lean more to the negative though so thats why its a red, but I'd rate it a 4.5/10. Fun action, kinda gets boring after the first 2 chapters. Really only play it if its with a buddy.

Not so great of a RE game but a great coop action shooter with horror elements.

This was my first Resident Evil game as well as my first online co-op game and it's just as fun now as is was then. Play on easy to avoid most of the AI jank that Sheva will try to put you though, Play Hardcore with a friend and learn to hate the on rails section to a point that frankly isn't healthy. Please Remake this janky gem, Capcom!

really fun if u have someone 2 play it with me and my gf played it together and we had a blast it's basically just RE4 with a few gameplay changes and co-op i do have a few complaints main one being the bosses, most of them are just way 2 tanky, which i could understand since it's balanced around 2 people but even with us both constantly doing damage they just took way 2 long 2 kill also a lot of the bosses have some kind of gimmick 2 do with 2 people with is fine, but some of them are just really tedious, main example being wesker my other complaint is that a lot of the game is them just throwing a bunch of enemies at u in a large room which is fine, they give u enough resources to deal with it, but it gets a little repetitive cause they dont really do anything to spice it up like RE4 did even with those issues tho i still had a really good time, tho i think that's mostly because of co-op

it's not going to get better than this for RE multi. Solid co-op action, occasional janky boss fights, impactful weapons and a fun story. Weapons are fun to get and upgrade, Cap removed GFWL and it costs $2 for like 20-25 hours of play including DLC. Merc mode is also fun if you're into that. I think I've run through the campaign like 7-10 times and I still keep coming back about once a year.

Played this so much on ps3 a while ago and had so much fun. Still an amazing game today.

Honestly cant wrong with Resi 5, people complain its too much of an action game but ive enjoyed it every time i purchased bought it on 360, xbox 1 the remaster on series x and now again on steam, great game personally apart from the boat mission never been a fan of that one lol

NOW NOW WAIT, The game is phenomenal, for all the jank the movement and shooting has it's entertaining and fun. Disgusting in the good way too [plus points for the women also, smash] However, A lot of bugs relating with Frame-rates, I had a glitch where the final boss started T-Pose running, and in-general the game doesn't do well when it comes to in-game-events, like we skipped a part of the boss because I decided to use a Rocket Launcher. Too many weird bugs to say I'd Recommend, It's still however, a good game. Just don't expect to play it on anything but 30fps.

Tremendous fun in CO-OP, but I'd avoid playing the game solo, unless you're a big REvilhead.

They changed the slow, nerve wrecking, resource conserving horror shooter from RE4 into more fast paced arcade shooter. 2nd player AI is helpful most of the time. Still a fun game. Just a minor complaint about the sound effect when you move around, it sounds like you're carrying small sack containing coins and miscellaneous small metal parts. It really gets on my nerve.

While by no means terrible, and probably a lot of fun as a co-op experience, RE5 feels like a massive downgrade from RE4. no goofy story sequences, no combinable treasures, no merchant, and forgettable characters. 5/10.

My playtime might be over two hours, but I have played this game on console since 2010. Having grown up playing the game, I can recommend the game is most fun with a family member as that's how I always played. The controls might take some getting used to and it might get hard at times (especially when playing alone), but it's a really good and fun game when you get used to it. I can eagerly recommend this game.

good game to play with a friend, had lots of funny and hilarious moments but wouldnt recommended if ur going to play alone and also some of the boss fights were clunky

Despite what people will say about the AI and the action oriented gameplay, this game still remains one of the better RE titles in terms of pure mechanics IMHO and really is enjoyable with all the additional content (Specially the Lost in Nightmares DLC (I thought the little battle with Wesker was cool)) from a DLC perspective as well as with a buddy or solo if you're so inclined. Tons of sections you can see were designed with Co-op in mind and I think the Devs really wanted to push that idea. Overall the game is a solid 8/10 but this is my biased little arbitrary score. I feel like you'd be doing yourself a disservice not playing it. :) Goes on sale regularly so if you're concerned about wasting money there should be no worries there. Play it with complete strangers and test your limits on how much you're willing to trust strangers (Especially on Professional) :D

Resident Evil 5 is absolutely recommended to play it, is very fun because of its action and gameplay, the graphics are amazing and the duration of every mission is just right to avoid get bored, every character presented is ICONIC, the soundtrack are enjoyable, the setup is dynamic if you play with Keyboard & Mouse or controller your gameplay changes giving you the chance to play however you like. Besides that, has some important negative aspects that could frustrate your experience: (No Spoilers) -The AI partner is very broken when you play solo is absolutely horrible at higher difficulties sometimes you wish to have the option to turn off the partner but you are forced to have dead weight on your shoulders. -In 2025 RE5 lacks of multiplayer consistency, sometimes you have players to play (which is impressive for a 2009 game) and sometimes there's no one available, the problem is there are achievements that needs to be completed with other players so if you want to do 100% achievements you MUST need a friend. in conclusion: I recommend to play this game with a friend more than solo for full experience. 3/5.

I have beat this game on ps3, ps4, ps5 and now pc! A all time favorite teamwork game. I have been having so much fun. Hoping for a remake. Many of the QTE's that were on the playstation weren't on pc which was a bit too easy at times. I'm going to keep helping others and going for pro soon. Can't wait to play Lost In A Nightmare again soon. It is said the blonde Jill model is the same used for no other than Fiona Belli another Capcom classic character from my beloved Haunting Ground. I am so looking forward to Resident Evil: Requiem!

Words can’t express how great Resident Evil 5 is! I first bought it on the Xbox 360, then again on Xbox One, and once more on PlayStation 5 via PS4 backward compatibility. Right now, I’m doing another vanilla playthrough on Steam with my brother, followed by another one with mods. Even playing solo is still an enjoyable experience! It’s best to get the Gold Edition, which comes with all the DLC!!!❤️

Despite all the bad things people say about this game, I think it's very good, but the experience is much better when you play with a friend or family member. After playing this one, you can even play RE6 with the same person, which is just as good.

I loved this game, Im playing all the resident evil games in order (0,1,2,3 etc) and I absolutely adored playing this one even tho it was right after playing the remakes. Even tho I wasn't playing it with a friend but alone, I still enjoyed playing the story and enjoyed the gameplay, wich is simply filled with action and content, even without coop. The controls are a little difficult to grasp at first, but you get used to it. Overall, Resident evil 5 is a great game, definitively worth playing.

It was good for its time in 2009. I played the game myself back then. But to be honest, the gameplay is really bad for today.

How does this have positive reviews? I got about 10 seconds into the game and just turned it off. The controls are absolutely abysmal. You move the camera instead of the character, and at first I thought I was set to inverted controls. Nope! The camera movement is just absolute garbage. The game tells me my system (which if obviously far better than a 2009 console) is playing the game with no issues, but the screen jumps around worse than my ADHD addled thoughts. I'll keep the game because outside of this (and the RE# debacle) I love this franchise, but it's not going to be installed on my rig.

the entire story is emotionally driven with great characters and one very evil duo that is iconic in their own respective rights.

An absolutely perfect coop game to play with friends. You'll have fantastic challenges, puzzles to solve, and bosses to fight.
