DREDGE is a masterclass in quiet dread—an elegant blend of fishing simulator, exploration RPG, and creeping cosmic horror. Developed by Black Salt Games, this atmospheric indie title invites you to cast your line into dark waters and discover that some things are better left unfished. What begins as a tranquil, almost cozy fishing game slowly transforms into something far more unsettling—and that slow descent is what makes DREDGE so special. At its core, DREDGE is about fishing, managing your boat, and exploring a beautifully bleak archipelago. You start small: catch fish, sell them at port, upgrade your ship. It’s addictive in the best way—part inventory Tetris, part resource management. But there’s an eerie catch: the deeper you go and the darker it gets, the stranger—and more dangerous—things become. Night brings madness. Lovecraftian abominations lurk just beneath the waves, your sanity wanes, and hallucinations start to warp your perception. You’ll begin to second-guess whether that glowing shape in the distance is a lighthouse… or something with teeth. It’s this juxtaposition of routine and rot that defines DREDGE. The fishing is relaxing, the exploration is rewarding—but there's always a sense of unease gnawing at the edges. Visually, DREDGE nails its tone. The art style is stylized but grounded, with angular boats, looming cliffs, and murky seas. The color palette shifts subtly from cozy pastels to oppressive shadows as the day-night cycle turns. Creature designs are nightmarish without being grotesque—more suggested horror than jump-scare terror. The sound design is crucial. The ocean sounds peaceful at first, but soon, the creaking of your hull and distant cries add a thick layer of tension. The minimalist soundtrack builds slowly, then surges just when panic sets in. It’s not overwhelming—but it knows how to get under your skin. The world of DREDGE is filled with strange locals, cryptic ruins, and half-buried secrets. Each island you visit has its own self-contained story—sometimes tragic, sometimes terrifying. The writing is minimal but effective, hinting at a world where people have made peace with the unnatural… or been consumed by it. There’s no exposition dump, no grand cosmic reveal—just notes in bottles, ruined shrines, and ominous warnings. It lets your imagination do the heavy lifting, which is often scarier than anything spelled out. Upgrading your ship is satisfying. You’ll slowly unlock better engines, longer fishing lines, and sturdier hulls—all essential for surviving longer trips into deeper, darker waters. There are side quests, mutated fish to catalog, relics to dredge up, and secrets to uncover. A single playthrough takes 8–12 hours, but multiple endings and lore breadcrumbs give you reason to return. DREDGE is a rare gem—a game that balances chill mechanics with creeping existential dread, creating a vibe unlike anything else in recent memory. It’s a fishing game for horror fans, a horror game for explorers, and a reminder that sometimes the most unsettling monsters are the ones you reel in yourself. Serene, sinister, and superbly designed—DREDGE hooks you, then haunts you. Rating: 9/10

I played through the whole game on steamdeck and absolutely loved it; runs flawlessly and looks great too. The gameplay loop immediately hooked me and I really enjoyed upgrading my ship and exploring the world. The game has such a strong identity with all aspects from the art design and music to the game systems and story working in tandem to create an atmosphere that is both relaxing and creepy. The Lovecraftian/ cosmic horror themes are such a perfect match for this type of game and it can be genuinely scary at times, particularly in the early game, getting caught out at sea when night creeps in makes you feel so panicked as you try to navigate your way through the fog with your only source of light blinking out back to the nearest dock before something finds you. If you haven't played this yet it is definitely worth it and the DLCs are pretty great too. <3

Completed and %100 this game along with it's DLCs, and it's good but definitely not worth %94 rating and whole praise it got. The game's first few hours are great when you learn mechanics and discover the world. But once that is over it hits you how little content it actually offers beside the (short) main story. It's basically the same exact loop at every other place with slight changes. Base game is worth $5 IMO as it's barely 5 hours of content. It seems like they moved some content to the DLCs as well which is bad. The only DLC maybe worth getting is The Iron Rig. It adds actual content to the base game and adds a lot of enhancements, both to the world and your ship, but it also adds some tedious work. The ice place and the key DLCs are absolute cash grabs however. The ice place (The Pale Reach) is only like 1 or 2 hours of content with very light lore, and the key really just gives you extra items that are useless. The bundle that includes all DLCs is $40, which is INSANE, even on sale it's like $27. The game and DLCs are not worth this much. If you can get it with the DLCs for around $10 or $15 I recommend it. Or at it's current pricing if you really like the relaxation/sailing part of it (which wasn't much to me after playing for hours).

Honest opinion after completing the game and getting all possible achievements without the DLCs... This game is fairly overrated. The premise is interesting, but the execution (gameplay and story) is very lacklustre. There are also various issues with controls (I find the controls in the item management screen to be a huge problem in particular) that interfere with gameplay.

Be aware: this game is very short. In 12 hours, I managed to fully upgrade the ship, finish most of the side quests and finish the main quest. The game really starts out strong. The scenery and the setting, the mysticism, the NPCs all point toward a great experience. You get to unlock several abilities as you complete requests from the main NPC, making traveling longer distances easier, overcoming obstacles that where locked in the earlier game stage, fishing deeper and more exotic fish. But as you progress towards mid-game, you realize, there isn't a lot more to the game as presented in the first 20%. You earn fast enough to upgrade your gears and ship, money is not a bottleneck in this game. Distances become a lot shorter as you upgrade the drive engine, making the world feel smaller and smaller and somewhat boring. The game get's repetitive, really fast. Almost all quests are of the form: "fetch item from there and bring it back here or to a random guy". There are things in the game, that make you think that there is more to them, but that's often not the case. Like most NPCs have an eerie vibe to them, which make you think there is more to them, but alas no. There is just so much untapped potential to the game... And then there is the ending: outright weak! How Dredge got an overwhelmingly positive rating is incomprehensible. My conclusion: disappointing.

The odds are nobody will read this review, however if you follow me then you might like similar games and could get something out of this. The game is neat, I waited to get it when it was on sale for half off and I would probably not have gotten it for full price tbh. Not because the game lacks content, there is at least 10 hours worth and more if you complete the side mysteries but mostly because it just wasn't what I was expecting it to be. If your looking for a chill fishing game where you can casually enjoy it then this could be what your looking for; however if your looking for another subnautica or darkwood like horror experience then I believe this is not what you are looking for. The game has some initial fear but the enemies become a nuisance and stop being scary so fast that I just wouldn't say they are the focus. I also just found the game loop of dredging to upgrade your ship and fishing to make money via a very similar, simple minigame dissatisfying, as the more you upgrade your ship, the easier and less scary the game becomes. I also was a disappointing that many of the creative side quests you complete only offered you either money or upgrade materials with little to no unique rewards that you already can easily earn by fishing or dredging. This made it feel not worth completing these otherwise interesting parts of the game. The only quests with unique rewards besides the main storyline were these four different cultists that just offered fetch quests that felt more like a chore. Unfortunately, at least for me, this caused the game to rapidly feel like a optimization chore of how efficiently I can complete the four islands and upgrade everything. I admit this is likely just a me problem and probably says more about the way/kind of games I play than anything else (satisfactory, dark souls, etc). Overall while there are aspects that I found intriguing from the leviathans to the thematic ideas of tending a small ship at sea, I just don't think it was for me or at least for me at that time in my life.

This is a really awesome take on the fishing genre. It's sandbox-esque gameplay really compliments it's lovecraftian atmosphere, The fishing is really fun and each type of fish usually has their own minigame to keep it fresh. The lovecraft entity variety you'll run across at night can be really spooky in the first 4-5 hours or so, but after a while it does begin to get a bit stale due to the same group of scares you'll run across. The gameplay loop of fishing and selling to afford all of your upgrades is really satisfying, with each upgrade really affecting your gameplay and making you feel like you're making progress. The only real issue I have with this game is the story. It can be confusing what your goal is and what quests are relevant to it, The DLCs sort of rectify this, and definitely give you a feeling of accomplishment and also have their own sense of progression.

Surprisingly dull. The mini-games are boring and require no skill whatsoever. As someone who loves puzzle, adventure, and free roam games, I expected to fall hard for Dredge but the exploration is monotonous and grind-y. The characters are weak and forgettable. Certain mechanics just feel cheap and poorly implemented, like the looking glass (which breaks exploration imo).

Absolute cinema. If you, like me, enjoy fishing minigames a little too much and have also read a bit too much Lovecraft, this is the game for you. I don't want to share too much about the game, because honestly the less you know going in the better, but I will say that Dredge is one of the few modern properties that really captures the feeling of H.P. Lovecraft's style in a way that is genuine, original, and very thankfully avoids the common pitfalls of cheesiness and heavy-handedness that usually turn me off from most things invoking the name of ol' Howard Phillips. Dredge also does an excellent job of fitting in the exact amount of length and grindiness I want from a game like this. My meandering playthrough of the main game & both DLCs took about 15 hours followed by another 8 hours or so of tying up side quests and loose ends for the platinum, and at no point in my 23 hours of playtime did it fail to maintain my interest. Even the two arguably hardest catches (#222 and #230) were satisfying to get without being overly grindy, at least in my opinion... but maybe I just got lucky on them :). For reference, if you've ever gone and caught all of the legendaries in a Pokemon game, the Dredge platinum is at a similar or lesser tier of grindiness than that, and certainly less than grinding for shinies or specific IV/nature combos. I highly recommend both major DLCs (The Iron Rig and The Pale Reach) as well. Both make excellent additions to the base game content in terms of story and gameplay, and provide some of the best equipment in the game for your troubles (including both upgrades to existing gear types as well as unique equipment). I saw some complaints about The Iron Rig in particular being too grindy, but if you enjoy the general gameplay loop of the game I think you'll have plenty of fun completing it. As for the Blackstone Key, I would have liked to have seen at least a crumb of story in it. As-is it provides two pieces of unique gear near the starting area that are decent in the early game but fall off later. If it's on sale it doesn't hurt to grab it, but you're not missing out on anything important if you don't want to shell out the extra couple bucks for it. A few points of spoiler-free advice: I recommend waiting until the endgame to really start grinding out rare catches, as the game gives you some helpful tools as you progress, especially if you have the DLCs; don't sweat fully completing your encyclopedia as you go, and if a side quest if giving you hell just leave it until closer to the end. Also, the game has no truly unique or limited crafting materials, so upgrade things with confidence that you aren't trapping yourself into any particular decisions; even the rarest upgrade mats can be purchased functionally infinitely from vendors later in the game, and money is of very little consequence by the endgame (I think I finished my platinum with over $30k in the bank and nothing really left to spend it on). The game also very helpfully signposts the ending, and specifically doesn't save during the final sequences, allowing you to get all of the endings without replaying the entire game, and to keep playing your file if you have things to wrap up still. So no need to either rush or delay the ending, or worry that you've accidentally hit a point of no return. More games need to do that! Also: trawl nets and crab pots are busted and I really undervalued them early on, definitely don't sleep on them.

I beat this game in around 11 hours, and I was dwadling part of the time. That's a disappointment. I even unlocked most of the tech tree in that time. Mostly I'm disappointed in the "creepy" elements of the game. The equivalent of the sanity meter is negated by taking a small nap. Which, I mean... why not? There is literally no downside. Horrible creatures from the deep? Mostly I just sail around them. Even the elements of the night which can be pretty dramatic at the start slowly taper off as you gain various power ups. All this feels very contrary to the mythos it's trying to call upon, in which there is an inevitablity to the madness, and it slowly overtaking you. As you journey out, the entire town of NPCs get's replaced with a single person that does everything at every single place you go. This was a huge missed opportunity for us to get to see the world from even more view points and drive home how each person reacts and deals with the horrors around them. It doesn't help that this same NPC just blithely is not aware of any of it. Apparently they sail around and don't notice any of this shit. I said it before, but it's such a missed opportunity that it's hard to get past. The fishing is fine. The aberrations are neat, but they could use a lot more significance to the gameplay than basically being expensive shiny versions of regular fish. The upgrade system is good. It does force choices, but you can go back and get everything, which I like. It's a okay fishing game. It's just the central conceit just doesn't feel particularly fleshed out, while also being very in your face. If you're going to make me look all the time at how creepy the world is, it had better actually be creepy.

It's good ... but ... I bought this because people raved about the creepy story and plot. I mean, sure, there is a vague story, which is big enough to fit on a post-it-note. It could have been deeper and more developed. Most of the story takes place in the first two zones, and then kind of fizzles out. The tech tree is good and the game is simple and intuitive. Eventually the whole thing just becomes a series of fetch quests, which didn't interest me. I played it for 14 hours, completed it, and have little interest in playing it again. Buy it on discount. It's not worth the full price, but certainly worth it when it's 50% off.

The ocean as a setting is every bit as interesting as space or the deep underground. The reason it isn't utilized more in games could be because of the unique challenge that water as a medium of travel presents. Boats aren't very nimble, and neither are most fish. Dredge doesn't so much overcome this challenge as it embraces it. Your boat is really fucking slow at the start, but I actually feel like this is when the game is at it's best. The atmosphere and day-night risk-reward cycle is clearly built around your boat trudging along at the speed of a grounded sparrow. The game makes an attempt to speed up as you become wise to it's tricks, but it fails to play catch up with it's mechanics. I think the first five or so hours of this game are stellar
(basin)
. The locations are memorable, the gameplay feels rewarding, and the eldrich oceanic atmosphere grips you by the gonads. The scaling gets out of hand later, but that too is fun in it's own way.
What is this game?
"Dredge" is a psychological horror fishing game where you try to uncover the mystery surrounding the eldritch fish you encounter during your travels. This whilst collecting various relics for "the collector".
Price/replay value
Horrible - Bad - Decent - Good - Amazing
Achievement hunting
Iron rig and pale reach DLC required Almost every achievement can be realistically gotten by just completing the game. A few that stand out like 150 fish via nets, dodging a few threats, and getting an exotic aberration. To my knowledge there's only 1 missable achievement - and you'd have to go out of your way to make it missable.
Pros/cons
Pros

Great balance between scary and cozy
No inherently grindy parts
DLC are worth their price
Cons

Menu controls with controller

Overall opinion
I honestly adore the setting and overall mood of this game. It strikes an amazing balance between normal and absolute cosmic horror. All of the main story can be beaten without travelling at night - and the player can thus avoid almost everything scary if they wish to do so. This makes for a great "choose your own horror" mechanic as staying out at night increases the amount of horror, makes the environment more aggressive, and inherently spices up the experience. To say that this game was a treat to complete is also an understatement. Getting aberrations is the main completion besides side quests, and tends to go pretty smoothly. Even some of the harder fish to get have ways to guarantee said aberrations, making for a smooth experience. Add to this a nice story, good controls, tons of content, and amazing monster/biome design and you have a wonderful experience. Literally my only complaint is that the menus can be a little stiff and are best controlled via mouse. Besides that I don't have any inherent issues with the game.
tldr;
Fishing but scary.
Should you buy it?
Definitely. (Also get pale reach and iron rig.)

I don't normally post reviews, but had to for the support that Black Salt Games has given this game to Mac, iOS and iPadOS. I have an M1 Mac, this game works flawlessly. I loved this game so much I bought it on Steam, AppStore and GoG. Why? The game is just that good and I'm happy to support devs who make universal apps for the Apple ecosystem. This game is great for casual engagement and hardcore gamers. The sense of impending dread and horror that works for both kids and adults alike without being gory or lame like most other horror games. Just an incredible game that works well on older systems and looks amazing. Thanks again to the dev team.

I've always been a fan of fishing/exploring/horror games, such as Subnautica, and this game perfectly scratches that itch. DREDGE seems like a simple fishing game, but the more you play, the more sinister and mysterious it gets.
Mutated fish
, cosmic horrors beyond your comprehension,
hooded figures
and the fog... All of this and more adds to the overall great spooky experience that this game has to offer. The feeling of there always being a bigger fish in the sea perfectly captures it in this game, and you always feel like something's watching you while swimming in the open ocean. This game features a lot of features unique from other fishing games: even the basic fishing and dredging requires a minigame. The ship upgrading system is super statisfying and its fun to rack your brain while trying to fit the fish and items into the hull space that you have at the time. I've still got to beat the game as it's the final stretch of progression I have to finish (I still have the last region left to explore), and I'm super looking forward to finding out an answer to this story full of sense of mystery. The only con I can see is the price. Compared to the length of content this game has to offer, the price is too large. But other than that, this game is amazing. Overall, DREDGE offers, in my opinion, the most unique and interesting experience of a fishing game imaginable, and I definitely suggest buying this game with a discount. Oh, and remember to buy the three-headed cod plushie.

Oh, Dredge, you sneaky charmer! It’s like a cozy fishing trip with adorable boats and chill vibes—until, oops, you’re dead or losing your marbles! I was all “Aww, cute fishes!” then BAM, eldritch horrors and panic attacks. This game’s so relaxing, I only screamed twice… okay, maybe ten times. Perfect for unwinding, if your idea of calm is teetering on the edge of insanity. The game is my 10/10, would fish myself into a nervous breakdown again

It was fairly intriguing for the first 10 hours. But once you complete the game play loop a couple of times in the new zones you discover, you'll quickly realize everything else is going to be more of the same. Same fishing/dredging mini games. It all revolves around catching fish and turning them into "things" to complete the quest. Or, dredging up items to upgrade your things to make play faster or more convenient. New equipment isn't overly exciting. It just stops gate keeping you on what types of fish you can catch, and how fast. For example, grind for the different rods that let you fish different types of areas such as mangroves, oceanic, etc. Then grind for the 1 replacement rod that lets you fish all 4 types. Big whoop. Same type of things with the other items such as engines (go faster, use less space), crab pots, nets, etc. It draws heavily on Sunless Sea mechanics in a 3D environment, but misses the mark on story and setting. It's open world but nothing happens. Everyone's just a menu that follows you to every location. Nobody else is out during the day. Thanks for the 11 hours, but I've had my fill! Get it on sale for 50% or better. Don't bother with the DLC until you know if you'll be invested enough to even get to it. I'm certainly not.

Barely recommended for me. I would say its on the edge. The game has great visual and sound design, however it did not get the main theme "feel" across to me. After the first hour or two, after understanding the game mechanics, you might never feel any horrors lurking in the depths. They might be there, but it really doesn't feel like they are. However, the fishing gave me good enough vibes to finish the game fully. The story was meh, you are really playing the game for the chill fishing vibes. This would be a 6/10 game for me.

Fantastic game definitely worth playing. Difficulty and complexity are very manageable and not at all overwhelming to get started. Downsides (for the base game): The biggest downside is that the progression of the game seems off. Crab pots make so much money that fishing for money isn't worth it. Boat upgrades, which are what's really important, can be purchased with very little story progression, and are so powerful that it trivializes the game. It just doesn't feel like there's any reason to fish other than to complete quests and fill the encyclopedia. The actual fishing part is too trivial to be considered a fishing simulator (which is fine), and becomes too easy once you buy enough upgrades.

A little slow in the beginning. Both story-wise and physical speed-wise (of the boat). But when you get into it, like I almost can't stop playing. This is also coming from someone who has pretty bad thalassophobia, so the horror aspect of the game REALLY hits for me, which is both terrifying and really engaging. Really recommend this if you like horror and an engaging storyline/lore👍

It starts off way better than it ends. At the beginning it creates a strong feeling of fear and uncertainty, and the idea of altering the world depending on how sleepy you get was brilliant. If anything I created more monsters in my mind than were actually there. Ultimately, with the powerups you basically own the world, and the fear disappears, and the fear was really the best part of the game. Mid game it also felt like a grind towards nothing. I didn't hate the experience, but I wish it kept a lot of that early game energy. Perhaps a shorter game would have been better. The world outside the main area is also shallow - very few NPCs and story (only one per world), like they ran out of money and time, but they had created the map so, might as well. The new monsters per area were a welcome addition though. Ultimately it needed more constant fear and darkness - the genre demanded it.

Good game but you really gotta go out at night and take risks for it to be really fun and challenging. I spent most of my playthrough playing it safe, expecting the game to incentivize or force me to make risky runs or travel at night. It wasn't until late game that I realized I was making it way too easy and a little boring for myself.

About the horror of the game, (not that spoilery but it might be more fun to go in blind),
despite all the reviews about the terrifying encounters people have had, I didn't actually have to deal with much. Most of the monsters appear with a high panic level and at night, which can be pretty much avoided if you're careful like I was. I still had a few creepy moments but wished there were more times you were forced to deal with the horrors. How paranoid I was at night was kinda fun though
. With the gameplay, I wish there were more fishing minigames but I still had fun upgrading my ship and figuring out what equipment to use. I couldn't follow along with the story so the ending confused me but that could just be me.

Great 20 hour game. I’d say the iron rig DLC is necessary for this game. It simultaneously gives you minor upgrades on top of the other upgrades you get for normally going throughout the scattered islands for the campaign. The paranoia you get from a lack of sleep also adds a challenge factor to an otherwise chill experience.

This a lovercraftian fishing sim rogue-like and it does a pretty good job at it. The gameplay loop is fairly satisfying, but tedious at times. The stories are intriguing, and the world is quite pretty. I think it could lean on the lovecraftian elements more though: they're fairly underwhelming. Overall, this is an overrated but good game and I would recommend giving it a look. 7/10.

Great worldbuilding. and I'm glad it gives you the option to limit the horror exposure.

I love Dredge, it runs wonderfully on a steam deck. The way everything moves is great, the fish jiggles are perfect and make puzzling them into the boat even better. The vibe switch between peacefully cruising along a pod of dolphins and eerie monsters lurking below the surface is pulled off wonderfully, I adore this game and I would highly recommend it!

DREDGE is a really good lovecraftian fishing game and another great example on how versatile Lovecraft’s work can be, but now let’s talk about the story. In the dead of night a fisherman is driving his boat over to the Marrow region to see if he can get a job as the local fisherman, but before he could find Greater Marrow a mysterious fog rolls in, causing him to crash into the rocks of the region, luckily he survived and even luckier he winds up in Greater Marrow. Unfortunately his boat is lost but the kindly mayor offers him a new boat, now the fisherman has a job and it's pretty simple just catch fish around greater marrow and beyond and sell them at the fishmongers. But strangely the mayor said that he must complete his work before the night comes in because not only of the mysterious dense fog rolls in, a lot of strange things appear during the night and how it can affect one’s mind. Okay then the likes, the gameplay is very good it's part fishing simulator, part exploration and part puzzle game with some slight RPG elements in it, basically you go around this open world game and play a mini game in order to capture fish, then you have to arrange the fish in this inventory box turning it this way and that in order to make it fit, you can also upgrade your boat and equipment so you can travel faster and fish better in different regions, it was all so very relaxing. You can also do side quests for people either delivering something or catching a certain type of fish, you can also dredge the sea floor to pick up items such as loose pieces of wood and metal in order to upgrade your boat and equipment, you can also pick up treasure that can help you purchase upgrades and repairs, it was an interesting idea and it helped break up the gameplay and kept it from getting boring. The story is very good it takes a lot of inspiration from Lovecraft’s work like I said it shows how versatile the author's work is, but while this story uses a lot of lovecraftian tropes like a mad cult, weird otherworldly creatures and a mysterious City, it doesn't use Lovecraft’s racism or outdated ideas. Instead it does its own thing/story which was quite enjoyable, we have like a female scientist, a black female shipbuilder, average working Joe's and an interesting reason why all this lovecraftian stuff is happening, best of all it doesn't feel shoe horned in and feels very organic and well-written.
I also really like the twist it was quite brilliant and didn't feel like it came out of left field.
The characters were all very good each had their own unique looks and personalities, we have your traditional crazy person that’s featured in all kind of Lovecraft works, you also have this cute female scientist and this pretty nice mayor who is very warm and inviting and there isn't a twist where the mayor is secretly a villain or anything like that which was good. The graphics is very beautiful it has this great shell shaded stylized look that is very pretty to look at, it just has this great use of colors and designs and the 3D world and it's 2D characters and creature design both complement each other quite well. The levels are very good, it's am open world so it has these different little Hub areas you can go to and fish from and all of them are very diverse and memorable from Little Islands to a tropical beach to even this lovecraftian semi submerged ancient city that makes one think of the city of R'lyeh. The enemies in the game, well I call them enemies but they are basically just invincible monsters that will attack you were good each one had their own unique look and feel that felt lovecraftian yet also kind of real and animalistic. The music is really good each track fits extremely well for this game from the sea shanty kind of music, I also particularly like the music for the bad ending it was both beautiful and haunting at the same time. The atmosphere is very good it feels like you're really sailing around the ocean catching fish even when it gets weird and spooky. Okay then is this game scary sometimes, it's more unsettling and disturbing when you first go out at night and see all this weirdness, there were like a few moments where I jumped like in Stellar Basin area, but you'll quickly get used to it. Now I would talk about what to dislike about this game but I have to say it's one of the few games that's actually positively perfect, well there is one thing but I understand why they did it, the Trawl Net where if you don't maintain it, it can disappear from your inventory that was a bit annoying, but like I said ultimately I understand why they did it since it can be a pretty good way to get money especially when you upgrade it. Alright then with that all said and done with DREDGE is a really good lovecraftian fishing game and another great example on how versatile Lovecraft’s work can be, with very good gameplay, a very good story and very beautiful graphics and just so much more. So if you're a fan of Lovecraft and Lovecraft themed games or fan of fishing/management type of games then I highly recommend getting this game and it's DLC.

Not worth it for the money. Beautiful game but horrible balancing. Threats are non existent once you upgrade speed. And money is infinite for some reason. It has such an interesting setting and premise but the poor execution of the story, with side quests with unfinished endings. Incredibly short as well. Overall a disappointment . Even when its on sale, its not worth the money imo.

A beautiful game with a solid gameplay loop and interesting mechanics. I savoured every second, and though I got it in a sale, would heavily recommend at full price. 5 Stars.

Finished the game in 20 hours, I love the atmosphere of the game, the graphics and the music. It's really different from the RPG or strategy I normally choose. But it was in sale and I was looking for some kind of fishing game, bought Dredge and couldnt drop it for few days until I finished it. Loved it!
