A lot more fun than the first game. With no forced stealth sections, and the ability to choose your playstyle for each Chapter. I'll have a YouTube playthrough out soon. Watch this space.

I played this game for the gritty gunslinging and stayed for the melodrama between two brothers who make Cain and Abel look like brunch buddies.

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood is a real solid shooter that I feel like not enough people talk about. If you're hankering for a good old-fashioned Western, this one delivers the goods, mostly. The story, with the McCall brothers, it's actually fairly good. You got your drama, your betrayal, your redemption. All that stuff that makes for a good Western yarn. I was genuinely invested in where it was going. The gunplay is satisfying too. The weapons feel good. Now, it isn't all sunshine and roses, unfortunately. That duel system… oh boy. Let's just say it's where this game stumbles, and stumbles hard. Clunky is putting it mildly. You have to do this awkward thing with the mouse, dragging it down and then trying to whip it to the side, and it just never feels natural. Half the time, you're fighting the controls more than the other guy. And it's inconsistent as all get-out. Sometimes one shot does the trick, other times you're peppering them and they're still standing, all while you're trying to figure out where your crosshair is even gonna pop up before you draw. Then, when you finally do get your gun out, the aiming is all bouncy and skittish, near impossible to get a bead on anyone. And your opponents they draw inhumanly fast, and it's hit kill. It's a real shame it feels like a wasted opportunity, as you kill all the main antagonists in the game in showoffs/duels. And they just feel frustratingly off here. Definitely a smudge on an otherwise really enjoyable game. Don't let that one janky part scare you off entirely though. If you can look past the dueling mechanic (because you're definitely going to struggle a lot with them, I almost ragequit multiple times), there's a fantastic and, like I said, underrated Western shooter here. The levels are varied, the action is usually tight, and the story will keep you hooked. For the price you can probably snag this for these days, it's a trip back to the Wild West worth taking. Just maybe take a deep breath before duels.

This game is great, with a action/thriller story. i had loads of fun with this, by the end of the game the duels seem very challenging. the graphics are great for an old game. i had no issues or bugs i would recommend this game. 7/10

So much better than the first one, i would recommend to just start with this. It is a bit wonky, but overall a good story and a good game.

They don't make game like this anymore. -Graphics: looks extremely good even at low resolutions, runs smooth on windows 10. -Gameplay: most of the time is linear (= well crafted experience), Sometimes is small open world with few side quests. Few secret collections per mission (no collect numerous bullshit all over the map likes many open world game). Guns feel good and different. -Story: good. Interesting characters, nice voice acting. Plot likes a movie.

Underrated classic wild west shooter. I would recommend it if you want to play a shorter wild west game that isn't RDR.

was really fun and the story was good gunfighting feels balanced with reload times, distance difference in slower/faster guns and a lot of enemies. I have played through once and I played as Ray with a Quickshooter, Shotgun combo which worked really well for CQB and barrage attacks. On Ray I'm guessing the ideal combo would be Scoped Rifle with a Quickshooter and a Ranger. i also liked how different Ray and Thomas' fighting styles are, especially the deadeye. its very fun and I think it actually has aged really well, feels like an arcade style rdr. if you are thinking to play call of juarez I think its better to start off with Bound In Blood because it gives you so much lore for the first game and also it runs a lot smoother. first one is a bit janky at times so if you arent invested in the story it can be a bit of a turn off. I like this game, it's really cool.

The background story before the first Series. New characters and conflicts make this prequel very perfect. The selection of two main characters with their own skills is quite an element. And also, weapons and Dynamite look visually improved.

Somehow i missed this game when i was young, now i regret it. It is one of those old school titles, that are better than new games made by modern developers for ''modern audience''. Gameplay and story are very nice, what else would a gamer need

A bit more COD-ified than it's predecessor, but still a very solid game with gunplay that holds up in 2025. Voice acting is solid, but the music has taken a steep dive compared to the OG. The weapons feel great, though I wish you could dual wield a pistol and a sawn off like in the OG. Nothing beats winning a quick draw using a gold plated derringer, though. It's dirt cheap like it's younger, more distinguished brother, so I recommend picking it up and giving it a whirl. Takes like 8 hours to finish a campaign on Medium and it has at least one replay in it thanks to there being two playable characters with different arsenals.

This is the perfect prequel to the original Call of Juarez. It answered every question and visualized most things Ray said in the pre-gameplay dialogue. (Unlike some writers... I dont know why they do this) Some of the best Gun-Combat games I've played, Epic Duels, The abilities of either character really shine, unlike most games depending on who you pick you're not always the one doing things, You actually need to cover people, take the most obvious route, hold a section the other character can do something etc. Gameplay is really good , Graphics are really good, Immersion is on point and if you get past the 2009 microphone dialogue (doesn't take long trust me) you got yourself a 10/10 game. One of the most underrated games on the steam store next to it's predecessor.
