First few hours of the game is very similar to Chapter 1 but with the addition of the protagonist's mysterious imouto and with slight changes on how the characters were introduced. This chapter features Amano Angeline Hotaru as the main heroine and I have to say this is the highest dose of tsun I have ever been exposed to in a VN. Like other works from the same developer it excels with the quality of visuals. It is not fully animated but they worked on blinking eyes, moving mouths and characters turning around. It made use of the same audio assets as ch1. I was really looking forward to watching the game's OP but the featured video on the store page wasn't in the game. Memories for this chapter only featured CG and music; the only animated video for the ending wasn't available in the extras. Chapter 2's overall plot is weaker than eden* and ef but it made me remember how much I enjoyed slice of life back when I've read Supipara ch1. The ending scene leaves more questions about the overarching storyline. It left me wanting to know more about the titular character "Alice the magical conductor" but it still won't be touched up with the sequel as the ending also suggests that chapter 3 will feature Yuuzuki Momiji. I recommend this to all fans of Minori's previous works. I'm really hoping that the eventual completion of all the chapters will be far more impactful than any one ending; something akin to Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two or DCIII.

Worth paying full price for just to support one of the best developers: Minori Can't wait for more of this series to release. Edit - Minori is no longer continuing this series due to insufficient funds :(

Kinetic novel. Was meant to be part of a larger, episodic journey, but the developer minori appears to have... vanished. Still decent as a vignette. Suggest getting it in the bundle with the only other chapter to be published.

It's a very heartwarming story, with immensely likeable characters, a fantastic ost, and plenty of feels for your feeling needs. Reading Chapter 1 isn't necessary (though the after-credits scene will require at least a basic understanding of what happened in the first chapter to understand. We're talking like a one-sentence summary). Still, the meaning can be inferred. I'm usually not a fan of open endings like this one, but it's done very well.

Absolutely worth a read. Even though we'll never get to see the rest of the chapters because of minori disbanding, the first two are worth it on their own. Each one can be taken as a "route" so to speak, so even though we won't really find out what's going on in the background you can feel happy about the chapters themselves. The visuals, music, and voice acting are all very well done as well. minori, thank you for your hard work, the first ever VN i read was *eden by you guys and it got me hooked right away. I still use it as my recommendation whenever introducing someone to the genre. I'll check back every few years just in case a miracle happens.

I absolutely LOVED Chapter 2 of Supipara, which makes me even more sad, that minori (the developers) is no more. I'm not saying this is a masterpiece or anything, in fact, it played its story fairly safe, but in return it avoided a lot of unnecessary melodrama which would've greatly hurt the experience. Despite this chapter's main girl coming off as unlikeable or outright offensive initially, she does show that she's a lot more than she lets on. It's not just that she's a tsundere and that's her whole existence, for one, she's a lot more honest with her feelings overall, but it's best if you, as the reader sees it for themselves and I'd also like to avoid spoilers. It deals with the weight of memories a lot more than the first Chapter and this time it's actually one of the main focus. The romance between the main character and main girl is also a bit deeper and I liked it more than in the first chapter. I felt the couple in Chapter 2 has a better chemistry and their relationship a better build up. I also like the fact that this time the main girl is a lot more involved in basically everything. In my humble opinion this chapter surpasses the already good first one in pretty much every regard and even if it played itself a bit safe, it's for the better. It has its own proper conclusion as the first chapter and a very satisfying ending. I highly recommend playing it!

Great slice of life visual novel with stuning visuals. As you could expect from minori (developer of this VN) visuals are absolutly great, there is no comparison to anything else really. Characters turns theyr heads, eyes are blinking, lips are in sync with voice over and that all in amazing quality. There is incredible amount of CGs for 15 hours game and even when its just sprite and background, its so well done, its hard to tell them apart from actual CGs. Story has good pacing, characters are well written. While main heroine of thís chapter, Amano Hotaru, really isnt my favorite of the cast, its still very enjoyable reading (means you will have fun even if you hate tsunderes). I can only recommend this title! Buy it already!

Seems we are never going to get a chapter 3 :( This is a decent read regardless. I don't understand how this title nearly made Minori go bankrupt.

A good follow up to Chapter 1 but this time the bored tsundere is the main heroine for this chapter Too bad we'll never get the Momiji Chapter after all :(

Even better than part 1. Not too long, but not too short either. (about 17 hours) I really liked the pacing. It was never boring, never rushed. And did have none of the long drag of the first part. And at some point, one OMG moment followed the next, while exploring the protagonists characters piece by piece. Hotarus conflict and her connection with Yukinari was well drawn. You see a completely different side of her than you were able to see in the first part. And the resolution is satisfying, yet surprising. Excellent voice acting, throughout, btw. Definitely watch this VN. It's really really good. Fun fact:
In the end, I was immediately thinking about "Momiji next please!".
Sadly.... minori is dead. So. R.I.P. minori. I enjoyed it. You will be missed.

Well... a non-melancholic ending to a minori game. That's a pleasant surprise. Still, it makes me feel kind of apprehensive... What the hell are you up to, Alice?

Most of my comments for Supipara has been already mentioned in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 gives more depth to the concept and "plot" of the Supipara universe (SPPL, Sumile, Piecu, Passion and Rabu or Smile, Peace, Passion and Love). This VN chapters can be standalone stories to tell a part of each tale, but the whole set will likely reflect the background story of Alice and
the Little Mermaid,
Ariel. If we are comparing on the routes of both Supipara Chapter 1 and 2: Baseline score of 1 vs 2= 8-9/10 vs 9/10 Duration: 10-20 hours Plot focus: Slice of Life 1 : 2 School Romance Character Development/Focus: The entire crew 1 : 2 Main and side heroine Concept: Happiness for all 1 : 2 Happiness for us Theme: Smile 1 : 2 Peace Art/Animation/VA/Positioning: 1=2, production value is as great as ever. All I can say is the realism in Chapter 1 remains with certain amounts of side character development. Chapter 2 is a more mainstream approach of a school romance VN, without unnecessary tragedy drama but still a very touching plot. The concept of happiness still remains and is definitely a niche that minori was aiming for when they created Supipara. Chapter 1 would have been the foundation (or the common heroine), while the future chapters would be the branching towards the individualised heroine routes. It is a shame that there probably will be no more of Supipara, but it was definitely the minori-ty experience I was expecting 7-8 years ago when the trailer video of Supipara was released. Minori you will be missed.
Assuming that Kyouko is Rapunzel, Ryouko is Sleeping Beauty/Snow White, Sakura is Cinderella, Hotaru is Beauty and the Beast and Rikka is Little Mermaid.
I wonder what roles would Alice and Momiji be...guess I will never find out.
To be honest, a girl who wishes for happiness for all and leveled a country, while being denounced as a witch due to her miracles in the western world aren't many.
I was waiting for this! I'm glad that it was released already. I immediately bought it as soon as I can. It was a nice read. The length was comparable to the first chapter. If you like being verbally abused by a beautiful half-Japanese tsundere, buy this. You won't regret it.

This is just a Masterpiece. I wasn't so sure about that with just Chapter 1, but with Chapter 2 I can say now for sure that Supipara is a 10/10 Masterpiece. I'am not gonna Lie, I had a few Tears in my Eyes towards the End, it was just so beautiful. Compared to the Open Ending in Chapter 1, Chapter 2 has a Complete and really Satisfiying ending and oh my god, I was so Happy about it!!! Hotaru Amano is just a really well thought out Character with a really well thought out Backstory. She may seem untouchable at first but thats not the case. Once you actually got to her, she really opens Up and becomes really lovely. The Soundtrack is as Good as Ever 10/10 there also. Overall is this just a really really good Slice of Life Visual Novel with good Comedy a Touch of Magic and Drama. I Highly recommend this Visual Novel to Anybody! You don't even need to read Chapter 1 to understand everything in Chapter 2. Hotaru Amano is a also a really good Waifu/Wife even if you don't see that at the beginning but trust me, she is! 10/10 Masterpiece Good Job Minori! I Love you now for this VN.

So, there it is, Chapter 2 I honestly enjoyed chapter 1, but as I learned that Hotaru will be the main heroine this time, I was like "Oh no, I didn't really like her in Chap 1" BUT how wrong I was. The more I got to know about her, the more I got to like her. She really gives you a taste of heaven, like she always says. Chap 2 is storywise a little bit better than Chap 1. Lot's of silce of life and even a bit of drama. And not to forget that after credits scene. Characterwise, there is one new side character and one new main character, namely Ritsu and Rikka. Both are fitting into the already awesome character cast very well. Aside from Hotaru, Alice comes to shine too! The voice acting is flawless and a pleasure, there is really nothing to complain in my opinion. The soundtrack is very simillar to chap 1 (some or even a lot of tracks are reused), which isn't bad at all, it's just Supipara-like. The good thing about Supipara is always the amount of CG's and the quality of the game itself, just look at the screenshots, you can even tell how good the quality is just by looking As far as I noticed, there are only some very very minor things I didn't like. Firstly, there is no music in the main menu, and secondly, the opening (which you can see at the steam store page) doesn't appear in the game. The playtime is around 15h, a little bit longer than chap 1 I sincerly wish that Momiji's chapter will be succesfully funded, hopefully it doesn't take years... Seriously, Supipara was always very very high on my personal ranking and belongs even to my favorites! Chap 2 proves that.

has minori ever made a VN that has no stunning visuals? just to give a little idea of how stunning the visuals are, chapter 1 is 2.58gb in size, 1.1gb of which is just in the backgrounds alone. chapter 2 is 2.28gb in size, 900mb goes to backgrounds. and both chapters have less than 50 backgrounds. how about the chapters themselves? It has got me interested in one sitting (actually two sittings, I had to sleep). translation is great. I don't wanna spoil anything aside that Alice is a miracle of this universe. this is not yet a complete game. there will be 5 chapters for this game and the main dev (minori, not mangagamer) is looking for $350k to fund the next chapter. $230k of which has already been reached as of this writing.
