Very short game, more like a paid demo. Interesting combat mechanics but has a lot of bugs.

Well, this game is fun shooting action that is just 40 minutes long. (and I had to replay some game segment because of hard crash). I played demos that were longer.

It's fun! The performance was absolutely atrocious though. It's also EXTREMELY SHORT. You can beat the game in 20-30 minutes. I went for all achievements so it took a little over and hour to do so. (I almost doubled my playtime by going afk lol) I only recommend it on a deep sale.

Overall really impressive considering its from a small team and mainly developed by one person who later received help from Unreal Dev grants. Tight fun bullet hell type game play with a good mix of melee and ranged attacks. The only thing that bothered me while playing was the stuttering, I don't know if it's caused just from the bullet slow mode that happens with combos or if it was a combination of stuttering and that, but it was jarring to say the least. Really nice looking game and fun to play, but really short. My first play through was 27 mins.

This really is just a paid demo. Very short window of gameplay, only a fragment of the story. This is just a paid demo for BM infinite.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I needed to for this one. I heard how short it was and that didn't bother me, but I've never seen so many bugs in a game before: Most of the sound came through my subwoofer, including dialogue, so I needed subtitles on. Some of the floors would literally disappear and be solid white; the ammo counters on guns were wrong half the time and I would run out of bullets when it said I still had 9 left. Besides that, it had puzzles that were basically "press the button on the wall for a cutscene." A short game is fine, but it doesn't even end on a cliffhanger. It just ends and you get a short ad for Bright Memory Infinite, which I own but haven't played yet. The graphic fidelity is the only saving quality, but just buy Stellar Blade instead.

I see you, with your flashy combat and stunning visuals. It's a game that grabs me by the eyeballs and screams, "Prepare for some high-octane, sci-fi action!" And I loved every single, glorious, blindingly fast minute of it. Seriously, the combat in this game is a fever dream of FPS and hack-and-slash insanity. I'm talking gunplay that feels incredibly satisfying, combined with sword slashes, psychic powers, and combos that make me feel like a god-tier action hero. Dodging, parrying, unleashing devastating abilities – it's a symphony of stylized violence that's just pure, unadulterated fun. Every encounter is a spectacle, and I'm always itching for the next flashy takedown. However, as much as I adored it, my biggest gripe, and I'm sure I'm not alone here, is its criminally short runtime. Just as I'm getting into the groove, mastering the intricate dance of its combat system, and fully immersing myself in its wild world, it's over! It's like being offered a gourmet meal, taking one delicious bite, and then being told the kitchen's closed. It leaves me wanting so, so much more. But here's where the real fun begins for a discerning connoisseur like myself: the mods. Oh, the mods! wink wink. The community has truly stepped up, extending the life and... aesthetic variety of this game in ways the developers probably never imagined. From character model swaps that bring a whole new level of [strike]fan service[/strike] customization to quality-of-life tweaks, these mods are the digital equivalent of finding a secret level filled with pure joy. They turn a fantastic, but brief, experience into something I can return to again and again for... research purposes, of course. It's a testament to the game's strong core that it inspires such dedicated (and delightfully daring) community creations. In short, Bright Memory is a brilliant, action-packed thrill ride. I only wish it was a full-length feature film instead of a captivating short film. Thankfully, the modding scene ensures my "research" continues.

Stan, don't you know the first law of physics? Anything that's fun costs at least $8.

A very short but fun little game. Also, it says unsupported on SD but it worked fine out of the box.
