The worst part of the entire game series! You simply can’t stand the main characters, thankfully misery loves company. Plus points for the co-op mode. The achievements were pure grind.

Many of the negative reviews here are due to a strong misunderstanding in the game mechanics, and you can notice that by checking the play times of the reviewers. Even though the game looks like an FPS, in reality it has strong real-time RPG mechanics. The character has a level, and it acquires points that have to be spent to increase the abilities and the weapons' effectiveness. The enemies level with you, in typical Bethesda style, and some things just can't be done because you are not of the right level to do them. Having accepted all of this, the game is far to be a masterpiece, but is really good nonetheless. The co-op experience is actually really good, even with unfortunately frequent server or game issues. The level design is weird at first, but it's not new per se: 2009's Wolfenstein had, in fact, an open map like this one, but in this case it's better because you are actually supposed to pass several times in the same areas to complete all the missions. Due to main quests, side quests, optional quests at the end of the game you will have travelled all those areas back and forth in all directions and every time you will do it you will discover something new in return. The rest of the game has pretty much the same qualities of the rest of the series: the aesthetic of the game are top notch, extremely curated, maniacally detailed. The scenarios are wonderful. Even the weapons' designs vary a lot depending on how you customize them. The AI is perfect like the in the rest of the series. In general, the game mechanics favor and reward an intelligent approach to the game. Cooperative mechanics are cool. The fact that you can invite a friend to play along with you the full game is a great thing and makes you wonder why you don't see this happening so much more. There are several bugs, though. Even though the game is quite light, generally speaking, the audio will clip on some systems when the situation gets too intense. Sometimes characters will get stuck. Server errors are quite frequent. All of this can indeed produce some frustrating experience, that I don't think harms the general positive review of the game: the game still is varied, filled with explosions, tragicomic in its brutality. The story is not very good, but it tones down the horror drama of the rest of the series for good: it wants to appeal a broader audience and will indeed make it easier to find a friend to play with you for free. Some here will bash the game because it offers only grinding after finishing the story. It's true: there is no reason at all to keep on playing after ending the game, which is perfectly balanced to be concluded with no grinding at all at maximum difficulty when you reach level 50. After that you can keep on grinding for no reason whatsoever and you won't get any reward in return because, indeed, the game is over. And that's good: there are plenty of infinite games out there, nowadays, and it's refreshing to see a series of games that have an ending, at some point, for once.

This is a pretty middling game all round, the characters aren't anything special or memorable, and most of the fun of the game, honestly come from the 2 protagonists being annoying to a point where its kind of funny, though probably only to people that have siblings. The baseline gameplay of shooting nazis is alright, though it doesn't remotely live up to any of the previous games. There are a few sequences of the game that take place in areas that are so dark that even with brightness at max its still just pitch black, so you have to use your flashlight, enemies can see you in the dark just fine, but they can also see your flashlight if you use it, which would honestly be kind of cool if it was not the ONLY way to see. The bossfights are tedious and honestly just boring, kind of like they are designed to make you avoid them, but the stealth of the game is lackluster to the point of being irrelevant, once you get detected there is no way to lose the enemies apart from killing all of them (including big boss types) or dying to reset the world. You will also constantly be detected through walls, or alarms just go off with no enemies around you, spawning in a bunch. I played the game with a friend, because it is impossible to play solo, the ai companion which can not be turned off, will run up to enemies including bosses to make out with them just to instantly get downed, and if you can't revive them you loose. If you do die and get reset, your resources do not reset with you, so if you die to a boss you risk ending up having to fight that boss with nothing, because you can't leave the boss arena either. The last boss of the game is some of the most unbalanced bullshit i've seen in a long time, we got to it with full resources, high level and everything upgraded, and depleting all our ammo on the boss' weakpoint only barely got it to go into the 2nd phase, after retrying several times and getting to the point where we got into the fight with no ammo and no extra lives, we enabled cheats, even with cheats that gave me infinite health and infinite ammo the 2nd phase took over 5 minutes of triggers held on my strongest gun, and almost dying anyway cause of his random attacks. The ability unlocked right before the fight, which you might assume is for fighting this guy, or at least would be useful against this guy, is a direct detriment to use cause he only uses attacks that ignore it.

I heard people saying this game is bad and I wanted to know If It's really truth or not and to my surprise It's pretty much truth. I wanted to like this game but after beating this game I must say that It could be better. The story is so goddamn short that even 2 hour long walking simulator feels longer than whatever this is. It lacks in the area of writting or any character development compared to older titles. The gameplay is nothing than going to the same locations over and over again doing fetch quests while fighting respawning dumb bullet sponge enemies. Nazis are always souless, yes, but not like this. Despite all the issues I must say that It looks nice, sounds nice and for few hours the gameplay slaps but for longer? I don't think It's worth the time.

I struggle to even find a thing i enjoy about this game. It just suffers from lack of everything. I have attempted to pick this game up 3 times in total already, and i am leaving with more disappointment each time. The girls feel like they are mentally ill, i guess those parkour moves and explosions during pregnancy resulted in this.

From the ten minutes I could play of this game, I actually enjoyed it minus some corny dialogue. I say of the ten minutes I COULD play, because as soon as I walk through or near the first door with a key code, my game crashes. There isn't any way to change this of course, because any meaningful change in the settings "requires a restart". Restart the game, and the settings are back to default. Try to change them, and once again, they "require a restart". Meaning if the default settings don't work for you, you're royally fucked. I would love to write a review talking about how the game isn't so bad as it's made out to be, only I can't fucking play it because the developers who made it are about as tech savvy as disabled sewer rats with no limbs. Waste of 20 dollars, and an utter disgrace to the Wolfenstein franchise.

Doesn't feel like the other Wolfenstein games. its just New Colossus but expanded for multiplayer, I would only recommend it if you liked playing Colossus, other than that it a pretty unique game.

Played it on PS4 a while back. Did some more gameplay with a friend using the Buddy Pass. Why the hell does using the Buddy Pass require me to unfriend my friend on Steam in order for it to work? That's so stupid. The lag sucks, the story sucks, everything just sucks.

after 15 hrs, not really worth it. graphics are a step down, gone is a great story line with great writing. You can no longer save as you go. the boss there is way too much "grind" there is way to much skill tree that is poorly developed, once you get to a certian point, there is just no reason to upgrade your weapons or charicter anymore. biggest points. graphics went way downhill, story line and character development is very cheesy and poor, and the grind is terrible!!!!!

Nowhere near as bad as you might hear, but it's not so far off. It's a pretty forgettable story that lacks direction, due to it's open world nature. Any sort of writing including the main character sisters is pretty annoying and weak. A pointless level system because enemies always scale to your level, meaning at all points your basically doing the same amount of damage. And tedious grinding for completionists. Despite this though. it's still Wolfenstein, you like killing Nazi's while feeling like a badass? This your franchise. Just that this definitely feels like the weakest entry in the series

Really good game, just a bit unrealistic to the real life events of WWII, (way more unrealistic than i'm expressing) it's like a fallout game mixed with WWII, once again, really good, just too short.

Pretty good. I'd heard criticism about enemy armour being annoying to deal with, but idk.. I guess it just clicked for me. Enjoyable gunplay and runny-roundy controls. Plays smoother than The New Order. Not quite as memorable as New Collossus- but that one was hard to outdo. Enjoyed the plot. You play as a couple o' fun bloodthirsty american beeyotches who toss the same braincell back and forth between themselves while lookin' for their Daddy and turning fascists into soup. Machine Games always seem to do some very impressive environmental work. Paris is probably my fave location in these games, next to the mindbending horror of Nuked York. Looks great. Only major gripes were that it was on the short side, and the final boss can lock me (a guy who loves FPS, but isn't amazing at them) in an nearly unwinnable situation with no health kits, and no option to leave and find more. Don't even have previous save files to return to. Never finished the campaign as a result.

Such a disappointment. I had this game for quite a while and I just wanted to play all the previous games in line before doing this one and I am disappointed. Its the first Wolfenstein game that made me rooting for the enemy. A very interesting idea and some quite good mechanics mixed with trash mentality and unnecessary voice lines. It is clear as day that this game fall to the "woke" plague wave, ruining it... but again its Bethesda... Both "girls" look as bland and ugly as possible, surprisingly keeping a female voice. Both behave at all like girls but young boys, besides some really cringe cut-scene interactions and the cherry on top... I just want to alt+f4 when I try to be stealth and I hear the AI "chatting" stuff like "i can`t wait to go back to my family" then I come and have to "kill it" and I hear "you're slaying it sis". I happen to know the previous games but here, if I put them aside, I have no motivation to kill some guards that did shit to my character and yet I must obliterate it because they are the "bad guys". In the first game I felt anger against the nazi from the beginning, here i wonder why didn't i try the game long time ago so I can ask for a refund. Oh and yes... i could not play more than the first mission... might be also due to my uneding rage towards the devs ruining yet another beloved franchise. The last good Wolfenstein was "The new colossus"... this here is something else.
